@maria <3 Oh, did he hope she knew he was angry. He hoped she knew that he was looking for him. Because if she didn't, well, then she'd be pretty damn shocked to see how angry he was.
Maria used her last straw. Elias was absolutely done with her childish nature. His anger was pouring out of his ears, his breathing heavy as he roamed the grounds, and the entire inside of the castle looking for his cousin. This was the last time Maria was going to interfere with any possible friend of his. And this time it was family! Siblings, even! She had kept him away from having any friends for seven years, and if she thought she was going to continue to do so, well she had another thing coming.
He knew she'd be in the dungeons. Dark and dreary, just like her soul. Okay, well, maybe that was a little mean, but he couldn't control himself right now. Elias walked down the steps to the cold basement, and glanced around ferociously. "MARIA! Get out here. Now." His cousin was not dumb. She would know he was angry. And she would know exactly why, too.

Maria wasn't much of a 'dungeon goer', as most people would think. They thought that because of her personality, the dark, cold dungeons would be like a second home to her. It was quite the opposite. She hated the cold. She hated the dark. She hated how the stone seemed to sap the heat from her. It made her feel... empty. But just because she hated them, didn't mean she didn't frequent them. When she really, really, wanted to be alone, that was where she went. Because in those moments she wanted to feel empty.
Jamie was a rat. Maria knew it. Just like how Jamie couldn't approach Elias with out back up, Maria knew the girl wouldn't keep quiet about their conversation. And she'd probably twist the entire thing on Maria. Sure, Maria had gone up there to warn the girl about what would happen if she tried to take Elias away from her. But it was Jamie that had pulled out the wand and tried to stun her. As it was, Maria was now trying to 'cool off' in the dungeons. She'd been fuming all day. Wanting to give Jamie a face full of flames. That was where the dungeon came in handy. The cold stone walls and floor sapped the heat from her hands every time they almost ignited.
She was almost calm. Well, as calm as could be expected, when she heard her cousin yelling her name.
Maria had been sitting on the floor, back against the wall and eyes closed up until that moment. Her eyes opened then. Oh dear. He sounded angry. No doubt the rat had blabbed. She hadn't done anything else that would infuriate Elias this much. In fact, she hadn't heard him take that tone in a while. With a sigh, she got up off the floor, and for once didn't bother trying to smooth out the wrinkles from her uniform or brush back her thick curly hair from her face. The slightly untamed look suited her quite nicely right now. "These halls echo, just as warning." She softly said as she stepped out from the corridor she'd been lurking in, finally in full view of her absolutely livid cousin. Yup. She hadn't see him this angry in a long, long time.

@maria <3 He heard her voice before he saw her face. She did not look so well, but Elias had to fight his caring side with his anger that he needed to let out. Her hair was frazzled (funny, since she always made fun of him for that), and her clothes were all wrinkled and had dirt on them. Elias laughed. He actually laughed. "Do you really think I care about the damn echo, Maria? Even you shouldn't be worried about that right now." The whole world could hear him, he didn't care. He hoped his other sister, Maxima, heard him from the Slytherin Common Room so she could go tell Jamie how Elias really feels. But even then, Jamie would have a lot of apologizing to do for the way she spoke to him.
When Maria stepped out into the dim light that was available, Elias felt his anger lessen slightly. She looked nervous. Elias didn't want to hurt her or yell at her, but she had already hurt him. She took away the one chance he had at having siblings, of getting to know his family. All because she was overprotective and selfish. As he thought over again in his head what she had done, she didn't phase him anymore. Well, the next full moon was going to be a doozy.
"How dare you, Maria? Do you not even understand what you've done? You've ruined it. You ruined everything." Elias spat out his words at her. He was trying to make sure he controlled himself at least a little, especially around Maria. He had never barred his teeth at her, and he didn't plan to. But if she didn't apologize, or find what she did was wrong, Elias wasn't so positive he'd be able to hold back. "Why do you think I don't tell you things? Because you're selfish."

Maria's eyebrows raised at the tone of voice he was using. He'd never used that tone with her. Ever. And as previously mentioned, he'd never been this angry with her before. It was.... unnerving. He was always so calm and composed, never letting this side of himself loose. But it always like a flood gate had opened, and there was no stopping his anger. Anger aimed at her. As he began his rant, she began to frown. How dare she? She'd ruined everything? And then the real kicker. That word that she hated. The one that turned her frown into a scowl. Selfish. Selfish.
"Are you that delusional?!" She hissed back. She wasn't yelling, which was unnerving on it's own. She was a yeller. She was loud, and angry, and violent. quiet and icy? "You don't even see it, do you? They hear the Greyback name and they come swooping in like vultures to claim you, like you're some trophy!" Oh, there was the yelling, the reaction had just been delayed. Her hands stayed clenched tightly at her side as her anger started to burn hotter. She wouldn't let her hands ignite, not around Elias. She'd never tried to burn him before now, and she never would. "Did they even care until they found out about your father?!" She was glaring at this point. "But excuse me for being selfish. For actually caring about you and not that monster that hurt your mother!" She knew it was a low blow, bringing up his mother. She'd been raped, and obviously held no love for Fenrir Greyback. Elias wasn't like his father, at all. And the last thing she wanted was for Elias to become him. Drawing closer to that side of his family.... What would happen?

@maria <3 Elias shook his head at her. Delusional? Really? Who did she think he was? Some poor imbecile boy? His blood was boiling. Elias closed his eyes and snarled. He didn't want to even look at her, but he knew that he had to get his anger out. She had made it so difficult for him to even try to get to know his siblings. "You don't know anything, Maria. You only know what you want to see. They aren't 'claiming' me, they're trying to get to know me. But with you acting like some vulture, now they don't want anything to do with me!" His breathing became erratic as he looked at his cousin, his dark brown eyes deep with fury.
As Maria began yelling at him, Elias stood up straight. He rose his eyebrows at her and looked at her in shock. "Don't you yell at me, Maria. Don't you dare. I am NOT the one who has done anything wrong. Get off your high horse and realize what you've messed up. I am so done with you messing with my life! Stop scaring people away from me. Stop making people think you're going to attack them if they speak with me. I have no friends because of you. They are my siblings. And they care about me, not my goddamned father. So back off, Maria." His anger showed throughout his whole body. Anyone that has ever met Elias would definitely be able to tell that he was upset.
He walked closer to her, and although he was taller, he looked right into her eyes, as close as he could get. "And don't you ever speak about my mother again. Because yes, you are selfish. Because all you give a shit about is yourself, not how I feel."

Maria gritted her teeth together, her hands practically white from clenching them so tight. She didn't want to be mad at Elias. Ever. She hadn't let anyone in like him since her parents.... Since their death. She'd never trusted anyone enough to let them in. Elias had been different though. He'd weaseled his way in before she could clam up. And now? She trusted him more then anyone else. But history was bound to repeat itself. He'd get close to her, and then leave. Just like everyone else.
"Don't tell me what to do." She snapped back as he practically ordered her to do several things. While he was one of the only people she listened to, she also had a limit. She'd already passed that limit. He might be taller then her, but Maria held her ground, her own perfect posture making it quite clear that she wasn't going to bow down to him. She wasn't submissive, especially right now. She was practically beyond words, no surprise there. Her arguments usually only lasted a few words before she got violent. She wasn't actually that good at 'arguing', and when she got pissed enough she let her actions speak for her. But she couldn't do that today. Not to Elias.
Maria felt like she'd been punched in the chest as he continued, saying that she didn't care about how he felt. "You don't think I care..?" She started, her surprise and almost.... pain in her voice. He'd only said his feelings but how he'd said it. Saying she only cared about herself.... Maria took a slow, deep breath, forcing that shock and pain to disappear, replaced with a dark look. "Fine. Go play house with them. Be a big happy family." She'd almost gone deathly calm, as if all emotion had just shut down. "That's what you want, right? So go for it. You want me to be done, then I'm done. Siblings trump everything else, right?" she hissed. He might have gotten closer, but she'd taken a step back. She felt something on her cheek, something wet. It felt foreign, and unnatural, and she chose to ignore it.

@maria <3 He glared down at his cousin. "I will tell you whatever I want to tell you, Maria. That's your expertise, isn't it? Ordering others around? That's what I've been told, lately. Figured you should get a taste of your own medicine." He breathed heavily as he watched her. Why couldn't she just apologize? Why was it so hard for Maria to understand that she has hurt Elias, that what she has done is messing with him and his family? Yes, she was his family as well. But now he had more family, and that didn't mean he was replacing her. It meant that he was adding to his own family. Whether she liked that or not, he didn't care.
Elias scoffed at her. Really? She was acting hurt. "I will. I will go 'play' with my siblings as you say it. Stop twisting my words around to hurt yourself. This isn't about you. It's about me. Why can't you get that through your head? I want to know my siblings. I want to enjoy them and add them into my family. So stop being so childish and grow up." His glare never left his face. He didn't even want to look at her anymore. "Goodbye Maria." He stared her down, waiting for her to walk away from him.
