It took several moments, but Braelynn's heart was finally starting to steady. Hearing Zander play up on stage helped, his voice soothing to her racing nerves. She'd always loved to listen to him, and it'd been one of the ways Zander had managed to reach her when she'd withdrawn so deep into herself that she'd wanted to die. Not only that, hearing him say everything was fine was just as amazing, as if his words made it be true. If he said everything was fine, then it was. She had to rely on his ability to see what was going on from the stage.
At the mention of Kegan, the one Lloyd Braelynn didn't know, her head perked up a bit and her gaze wandered the crowd to try and pinpoint who Kegan was, but without a physical description she didn't even know where to start. Drat. Someday she'd meet Kegan. Then, Ranger carefully scooped her back up, setting her in his lap once more. Twisting in his lap so she could look up at him, Bay tilted her head as she saw the emotion in Ranger's face. Obviously Zander's dedication of the song was getting to him a bit. Balancing on her hind legs rested a front paw against his chest while the other one reached up to make a motion towards his face, as if to pat his cheek and comfort him. She plopped back down into his lap then and turned to watch Zander play and sing.
