Despite being as angry as he was, Nikolai didn't move to touch her in anyway... And Magdalena didn't know why. Usually when people were that angry they at least made a motion as if to make some sort of contact. But he stayed back. Never getting close to. In fact, now that she thought about it, he never got to close. Not today. Not that morning when she woke up to him in her apartment. Despite keeping his distance though, he was incredibly demanding. She just looked away, rather then attempt to respond. No surprise there. For some reason though, she moved to match that quicker pace he was setting, only a few steps behind him now rather then next to him.
She shrugged at he gave her that look, not understanding what she'd meant. "It means that if you want to follow me, I'm going to make you miserable." She reworded bluntly. "Unless you start being polite." She added, pausing for only a moment as she pulled her hands out of her hoody pockets and brushed her hair off her shoulders. "You can't go making demands about someone else's life without giving into some yourself."

@magdalena <3 When Nikolai turned away and walked faster, he was glad she didn't say anything. He might've left her there had she tried to deny anything else to him. It wasn't that he was angry at her per se, he was more annoyed that she hadn't tried to do anything to stop this already. She sure as hell didn't deserve it, but it seemed to him like she thought she did, which disgusted him and made him pity her all at the same time. Niko heard her feet behind him, walking a bit faster to keep up.
He chuckled at her. "Try me, little girl. You can't make my life miserable." It already is. Niko rose an eyebrow at her. He usually did as he pleased, and people tended to listen to him. But this one was obviously going to give him a run for his money. Tilting his head, his hands still in his front pockets of his jeans, he smirked at her, as if in a test to make him miserable.

"Hm... Maybe not miserable." Magdalena found herself correctly. "Think of it more as... difficult, and extremely awkward." As if to prove her point, she pulled her hoody up and over head head, taking it off. She was still wearing her dancer's get up from work, hadn't bothered changing. The hoody had done a dang good job hiding the plunging neck line and bare stomach. "I told you, I'm not shy." He obviously didn't like the whole 'nightclub dancer' bit. That was the one topic that seemed to upset him the most. So why not use that to her advantage. Stuffing the hoody into her back, she ruffled her hair, making it a mess, strands falling in her face, and used a few fingers to smear her eye make up a bit. Before she did anything else though, she looked at him, an eyebrow raised. "Do you want to say please now, or do I get to put on a show for the restaurant around the corner?" Her threat was pretty clear. HE wanted to follow her, good for him. But if he didn't play nice, neither would she. She wasn't above faking drunk, and making a fool out of herself, because it'd reflect back on him. "You have a minute to decide."

@magdalena <3 Nikolai raised an eyebrow at her as she spoke. However, his smirk immediately disappeared as she took off the sweatshirt she was wearing. His eyes instinctively looked at her body, but his anger got the best of him and he looked right into her eyes, ignoring the rest of her. She stuffed the sweater behind her and he let out a small noise of anger. "You wouldn't dare..."
Why was he even wasting his time? Yes, he wanted her home safe. And he wanted to help her! HELP get a new job! And here she was...acting like this. Niko was done being nice...at least, as nice as he could with a stranger. He shook his head in disgust and gestured towards the restaurant. "If you want your name out there that you're an alcoholic slut...go ahead. Not my problem." Okay. Harsh, he knows. But the truth hurts. And maybe she'd finally learn.

That eyebrow just raised a little higher when he said she wouldn't dare. "Try me." She threw his own words back at him. What exactly did she have to lose? After all, if it did somehow get to the Daily Prophet, they'd care more about him in the story. Big famous Quidditch player, caught with drunk girl causing a huge scene. Not many people would recognize her like this, after all. She was feeling confident that he'd care about his reputation enough to not let her act out in such a way though. She was willing to, of course, just didn't think he'd let her.
Like most things in her life though, that confidence crash and burned. All because of two little words.
Magdalena's eyes widened, shocked. And then came the strong, intense anger and pain that she tried so desperately to drown out. It probably didn't help that the buzz from the alcohol she'd consumed earlier was starting to wear off, so her emotions were coming back to her. "At least you finally said it." Her voice was quiet, but far from soft. He was used to hints of anger, and sarcasm in her voice, not pain.This.... it was completely different. And he might actually realize that up until now, she'd actually been pretty emotionless with him. Even when she had been mad or frustrated, the amount of emotion she showed was only a small fraction of what was really there. She walked past him, refusing to look at him as she felt that first of many angry tears fall. "Stay away from me, Krum." Was all she snapped as she walked faster, not looking back at him.

@magdalena <3 She repeated his words to him, and his eyes narrowed at the hint of sarcasm in her voice. He wasn't offended by that, she was just acting childish. And he had three little sisters, he knew a childish female when he saw one. However, he didn't actually expect this from her. Throwing herself out there like she was trash. But then again, he probably should've with the way she spoke about the men in the club. It was horrible.
And then...he struck a nerve. A big one, at that. He knew what he said hurt her. The emotions on her face and her body movement was enough for him to know he had said something incredibly wrong. And while Nikolai felt bad about what he said, it worked. Niko didn't say any more. She walked away from where she had been standing, in the direction of her house. His face becoming softer, the anger disappearing, he walked behind her, a bit slower so he was a step or two behind. Niko kept silent, knowing it was best for her to get her anger out.
They eventually came up to the sidewalk, her house in sight, and he finally spoke. "You know I didn't mean that, right? I said it so you wouldn't make a fool out of yourself." And I didn't want people looking at you like that. Niko wished he could be completely honest with her, but that would mean letting her in...and right now, that was out of the question.

Nikolai hadn't listened to her. No surprise. Magdalena hadn't heard him following her, but she'd been pretty sure he had. He'd already made it pretty clear that he was going to make sure she got home safe. It should have been sweet, and thoughtful. But those thoughts didn't cross her mind. Instead, she was angry, and frustrated, and hurt, frantically wiping angry tears away when it got to difficult to see. Refusing to look back at him, or say anything else. Only when she was just down the street from her apartment, did he speak up. Saying he didn't mean it. The nerve had already been struck, so his words only rattled them more, and she stopped abruptly, spinning around to glare at him. She didn't care that her cheeks were tear stained, her make up running. "Didn't mean it? Of course you bloody meant it!" She snapped back, that anger and hurt still strong in her voice.
"But what do I know? After all, I'm just an 'alcoholic slut', right? Broken, something you need to fix." She continued, tears still streaming. She didn't want to tell him any of this, but she couldn't stop. It was just like her emotions. Once the dam had been opened, it wouldn't close. "My mum's dead. My dad's in prison. My best friend was kidnapped and hasn't been the same since. And every time I feel remotely normal anymore, it feels like I'm suffocating, and all I want is to forget and feel nothing. So I'm sorry I'm some major disappointment to you, and I'm sorry I can't be 'fixed' like you want!" She had to catch her breath after that, out of breath from finally letting it out. She hadn't told anyone any of that.

@magdalena <3 Niko's eyes widened at her response. She snapped at him, and he knew he shouldn't have been shocked at her words. And yet he was. What he said to her was rude, and cruel. But it took her out of an embarrassing situation for which he was thankful. Nikolai wouldn't have been able to live with himself had he let her do that in front of himself and the people in the restaurant.
As she turned around, and Niko saw the tears running down her face, he felt a small pang of guilt in his heart. He had never meant to make her cry. That wasn't his intentions. And it definitely wasn't his intention to anger her this much. He listened to her words as she yelled at him, his face gentle. His eyes showed that he cared, but he doubted she would believe that. "Magdalena...I never said I wanted to fix you. I- I want to help you. This life you're living... it isn't safe. I don't know who made you think so, but you DO deserve happiness. I want to help you learn that. But what I said...I didn't mean that. I said it so you...you wouldn't do whatever you were planning on doing."

Magdalena wished she could take it back. Take back all those words she'd just thrown at him. She wished she hadn't open the door to all those emotions she'd been bottling up for so long, because like she'd said.... They made her feel like she was suffocating. Drowning. Letting herself feel them, to... actually recognize that she wasn't fine. Her chest hurt as she tried to swallow the emotions again, tried to contain them, and push them back down until they were nothing. But they just weren't going anywhere right now, despite her best efforts. Frantically she wiped away the next wave of tears from her cheeks. After wards she wrapped her arms tightly around herself, as if in a self hug, or some way of protecting herself. "Why? Why me? There are plenty of other girls out there. So why me?" She sounded almost... desperate. To hear some explanation that so she could understand what it was he saw in her that she couldn't even see herself. But she didn't wait long for an answer before continuing. "What do you think you can do, anyway? You're Mr. Perfect Quidditch player. Everything has been handed to you on a silver platter. You think you can help me? How can you when you don't even know what it feels like!" That wasn't fair of her to accuse him of that, but it just came out. And then she was turning, as if to go into the apartment building, to not even give him a chance to answer....

@magdalena <3 Nikolai watched as she wiped her tears away, wishing he could do it himself. But...he couldn't. He wouldn't touch her, and he wouldn't allow her to touch him either. Her arms wrapped around herself and he silently cursed himself for having such a messed up childhood and letting it affect him in this way. He wished he could explain, wished he could get her to understand...but she wasn't allowing him any time to talk. And then, Magdalena said something in him that made him snap. Niko looked up at her and glared. However, she had turned around. But, she wasn't going to get away with that.
Quickly and swiftly, without noise, he walked around her and directly in front of her, as close as he could get without feeling nauseated. "You listen to me. Don't you dare tell anyone that they haven't been through anything without knowing them. All you know about me is my name, and you just assume that I'm some spoiled brat. No, I don't know what you've been through. But I've been through hell, and just because you don't know about it doesn't mean it's never happened."

Nikolai stopped her, moving faster then she would have expected and planting himself between her and the door. Again, no actual physical contact in anyway, still maintaining the same distance as earlier. Obviously just like he'd struck a nerve with her, she'd struck one with him. She listened in complete silence, this time not bothering to stop the tears streaming down her cheeks. She was.... surprised by his words. By the ferocity in his voice. She didn't say anything at first. Just met that glare he had her fixed with with her own tear stained one. Seconds ticked by, before finally her lips parted. "Is that why you won't come near me..?" She wanted to add a sarcastic twist at the end, but the turmoil of emotions wouldn't let her. "You don't think people notice, do you? That you don't come near them. That you move away if they get too close."
Magdalena finally had to unwrap her arms from around herself to wipe the tears away again, looking away from him. She could, technically, apparate around him and get to her apartment, but she didn't think she was thinking clearly enough to actually succeed without hurting herself. So, she was stuck here, until he finally let her past.

@magdalena <3 His eyes watched her, moments ticking by. She kept silent, and Nikolai wasn't sure what to do. To let her walk by, to walk away? That wouldn't be leaving all this in a good spot and he didn't want to leave it all like this. And like if she could hear his thoughts, she spoke. However, what Magdalena said is something that Niko had never been confronted by...never even had to explain.
Niko swallowed, struggling to control his thoughts. Flashbacks began flowing through his brain, and his head was starting to hurt. His eyes looked down at this girl in front of him, this...crazy, beautiful, crying girl who had somehow begun to figure him out. His eyes narrowed gently, not in anger, but in wonder. "Not many people have actually noticed. Other than my family, you're the first to see it."

Magdalena saw it immediately. That swallow. She knew what it meant, because she did the exact same thing. He wasn't just swallowing for the sake of it. He was trying to swallow down emotions or memories. Just like she had earlier. Whatever had happened to him, he'd been left scarred emotionally. Scarred, broken, and bruised. And then, the anger just... disappeared. She couldn't quite place the emotion that replaced his anger as his eyes narrowed and he spoke. He didn't really over any sort of explanation, but also wasn't denying it. "How can you expect to help other people.... When you won't even let them near you?" She softly asked. How could he 'help' people, when he was hurting too?

@magdalena <3 Magdalena spoke softly to him, and he took in a deep breath. Niko wasn't sure what she wanted him to tell her. He wasn't about to go all crazy on her like she had just done to him, so spilling out all of his secrets wasn't going to happen. He had just recently told Dan, and even his family didn't know. So Nikolai was not going to say anything to her, that was for sure. "I don't see why people need to touch me for me to be able to help them. Those two things do not correlate with the other."

Magdalena did something she was pretty sure was a bad idea. But for some reason she still did it. What was it she did though? She took a step closer. Into that dead zone he kept. The one that he'd always maintained. "Because you're still hurting." she answered. The tears were finally starting to stop, thankfully. "You can't help people, when you still need help. I don't know what happened to you, but it's still there. You aren't past it." She let out a slightly shuddered breath, and shook her head.
"You want to help me... Why would I let you when you don't even trust me?" She took another step, this time intentional so she if she could get him to move out of the way. He hadn't let her get this close before now, at least that she could remember, so there was a good bet he'd side step. And when he did? It meant she had a clear shot to the apartment building door. "You can go now, Nikolai." That was the first time she'd ever called him by his first name.
