Edmund couldn't believe how well this was working. Granted, it didn't start off that way and for a while he wondered if he made a mistake trying to make them get together and talk it out with one another. Also, he was a little nervous about what was going to happen when he let them out. From what he heard, it sounded like Grey wasn't too mad at him, but he knew Addi was. Even without her saying anything, he knew that she was upset. Still, it was worth it to him. Even if she ended up being mad enough that she broke up with him ... at least she had her brother back. That would make her whole. At the same time, Edmund had no intention of letting her go, just letting her let out her frustration on him. He took a deep breath when it sounded like they had everything figured out. Now it was time to let them out and his nerves were growing by the second. He levitated their wands beside the door to the broom closet and stood against the wall on the opposite side of the hallway. He took a deep breath before muttering "Alohomora" and stood there, waiting to see what came next. The second they grabbed their wands, his was going in his back pocket though. He wasn't going to fight this punishment at all. He deserved it for tricking them. @jill2 grey xavier slater

The Monsters walk among us Upon mentioning possibly contacting Edmund outside of the closet, so that they could maybe finally escape their dark dungeon, Addi finally pulled away from him. Grey would have placed a bet, and more than likely won too, that she would have been hanging onto him in some shape or form by the time they were able to get outside. He was somewhat surprised though. The chance to go after Edmund the second the door opened was probably too much for her to handle. They had already covered that at the beginning of the whole ordeal, and he was almost positive that Addi probably hadn’t changed her opinion about being angry at the boy. Grey had done the best he could to fix his issues, but there was no way he could ask the same for Edmund. The Slytherin had knowingly made his bed and was already laying in it, waiting for whatever the little Slater girl had in store for him. He kind of hoped Addi would go easy on Edmund, but he had a nagging feeling that it wasn’t going to happen. As long as he made it out of the room first, there was a chance he could warn Edmund of any impending danger that might follow. Addi’s brief comment about not letting Edmund get away reassured Grey that the boy could be in a world of hurt. “You don’t need to go easy on him…but this was for our sake.” Grey muttered briefly. Within a few seconds of saying that, Grey heard an audible click come from the door. Perfect timing. “Here we go. Please don’t punch him.” Grey paused for a second to think that through again. “If you do punch him, don’t hit him as hard as you did to me.” He was over the punch at this point, having Claire hunt him down right after that had happened had virtually made him forget it had even happened in the first place. Popping the door open, Grey was met with two wands floating in the air and Edmund standing on the opposite end of the corridor, making them levitate. He was a bit paranoid. Snatching his wand out of the air, Grey quickly made his way across the hallway before Addi could. Placing one hand on Edmund’s shoulder, he looked him straight in the eyes. “We’re all set now. But watch out for my sister. She’s not too…happy with you. Let’s call it that.” He laughed, taking a step to the side of Edmund to see what Addi would do next. MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

Go easy on him? Hm. Addilyn wasn't sure what she'd do. She definitely was angry, but then again, what could she do? Yes, Edmund had helped her and Grey...and it was shockingly in a good way. However she did wish that Edmund would've just asked her to pretend like she didn't know what was going on and went in the closet. Granted, she may not have actually done such a thing, but hey, it was always worth a try right? And he had the audacity to kiss her very romantically before shoving her in the closet! That was not the way she wanted to meet with her brother, and he'd be lucky if he got a kiss like that ever again...Grey spoke again and Addi couldn't help but giggle at his words. Please don't punch him. She wouldn't, but she felt a small pang of guilt for punching Grey over the wrong reason.
He immediately opened the door and ran out before her, which caused her jaw to drop in shock. By the time she had walked out of the closet and grabbed her levitated wand, she stopped in her tracks. Grey was standing up against the wall, all goody toe-shoes like, and Edmund was standing there looking quite frightened. Addi held her wand in her right hand, her head tilted to the side, studying the two of them. Maybe she could react how they'd expect, or she could do something totally different. Addi kept a straight face, and she walked directly towards Edmund, completely ignoring the fact that Grey was standing right there. As soon as she got close to Edmund, she lifted her left and and flicked him in the nose. Her eyes narrowed, and she spoke, her wand pointing at him, "Cantis." Addilyn soon smirked sneakily, awaiting Edmund to belt out into a song.
Amusement was best in this situation. She tilted her head, and crossed her arms.

Edmund was as prepared as he was going to get, but what he was not expecting was for Grey to come over and warn him. He thought Grey would either be mad at him or just not talk to him at all. The good thing was they Grey looked happier, content. Now, part of that might be because he was interested to see what Addi was going to do to Edmund, but Edmund also thought that some of it would be because things were finally better between him and his sister. That is what made it all worth it. Whatever she was about to do, worth it to see things better between them. He gave a short nod to Grey, but he wasn't even looking in his direction. The moment she stepped out of the broom closet, Edmund's attention was entirely focused on Addi. She seemed to look at him and Grey with interest for a second before her attention focused on Edmund. His body tensed as she approached him with her wand raised, but he didn't show it. He didn't move, didn't even blink. Once she was right in front of him, she used her free hand to flick his nose and Edmund did nothing. He didn't flinch, didn't jump or blink. He just kept looking into her beautiful eyes. Then came the moment he was waiting for. "Cantis," she muttered, her voice steady as her expression turned into a smirk. Edmund knew this one. He and Addi found it together one day when they were studying, so he knew exactly what it did. He locked his jaw as he tried to fight the irresistible urge to burst out into song. It was no use, he knew he wouldn't last long. Even though he promised himself he wouldn't react to her punishment, he glared at her. She knew he hated singing, especially where other people could hear. That was exactly why she chose it. He could feel the music rising up his throat and thought frantically, trying to come up with a good song before the spell controlled him. His mind latched onto one from his childhood and before Edmund knew what he was doing, he was belting it out as loud as he could. The only thing that made this semi-alright is that he wasn't a terrible singer. He wasn't particularly good, by any means, but he could carry a tune. The next thing he knew, Edmund was jamming to one of his favorite songs of all time, St. Elmo's Fire by John Parr. Play the game, you know you can't quit until it's won Soldier on, only you can do what must be done You know in some way you're a lot like me You're just a prisoner and you're tryin' to break free
I can see a new horizon underneath the blazin' sky I'll be where the eagle's flying higher and higher Gonna be your man in motion, all I need is a pair of wheels Take me where my future's lyin', St. Elmo's FireWhen he first started singing the song, he was still annoyed and glaring a little bit at Addi, being careful to keep eye contact. Then, as he continued, he could almost hear the guitars and the drums in the background and he started to enjoy himself. After all, it wasn't like he was singing in front of anyone but Addi and Grey. By the time he got to the third line, he started really jamming and couldn't keep a very small smile off his face. As he sang- still to Addi- he cocked an eyebrow at her in challenge. He didn't know if she knew this song- it was very old, after all- but if she did, he wanted her to join him. She did have a better voice than he did, and maybe them singing together would help her be less angry at him. Yes, even though she chose a comical outlet, he knew she was still mad at him. Still dangerous and unpredictable. Just once in his life a man has his time, and my time is now, I'm coming alive I can hear the music playin', I can see the banners fly Feel like you're back again, and hope ridin' high Gonna be your man in motion, all I need is a pair of wheels Take me where my future's lyin', St. Elmo's Fire

The Monsters walk among us Crossing his arms in pure enjoyment, Grey watched as Addi finally followed behind him, grabbed her wand, and headed straight for Edmund. There were a multitude of things he could imagine Addilyn doing, the worst being her screaming and punching at Edmund, which was very un-Addi like, the best being her jinxing him. The latter occurred almost instantly, without any bodily sign of what she intended for the poor Slytherin boy. He was already laughing before Addi even pointed her wand at Edmund, just thinking of her cursing him was enough to get Grey going. The one thing he didn’t expect was the spell Addi used. He’d heard of Cantis before but never actually seen it in person. Boy was that a sight to behold. Edmund looked like he was having a fit the entire time, struggling to fight the urge to belt out a song at the top of his lungs. Grey had his own problems at the same time, trying to hold in a giggle attack as Edmund started singing. The kid was good too! He never would have expected that. And to top it off, Addi had a straight face on. Her resolve to watch Edmund tortured with lyrics was unbelievably scary. Moving away from where he had been standing next to Edmund, Grey went to stand next to his sister. The sight of Edmund singing from this angle was much better, he’d give her that. “So…when are you going to let him stop?” Grey asked his sister. He wasn’t sure if Edmund actually cared for singing this long, but it did look like he was getting into it. Grey figured that after a while though, singing for that amount of time would probably start hurting, especially for someone who wasn’t trained to belt it out for hours on end. He knew he’d never be able to do it. Once he knew Edmund was going to be fine, Grey was going to take his leave. A lot had happened already today, and he felt that pushing his luck any further, despite things being fine now, would not be the best choice in the world. Plus, he was sure Edmund needed some time to apologize to Addi alone, for shoving her into the closet and all that jazz. MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

At Edmund's reaction, Addilyn let a slow smirk appear on her face. He looked like he was trying desperately to hold it all in, but...she knew she had him. He was going to have to sing eventually. And he did. The choice of song made it even better, and Addilyn's eyebrows rose at him. Edmund seemed...angry. But Addi was in pure bliss right now watching this occur.
Her eyes moved to Grey as he...giggled? Grey giggles? Her jaw dropped and she began laughing hysterically. Alright, Edmund was funny, but seeing her big scary older brother giggling was a different story. This was all too much. Addi tilted her head at Grey when he asked about letting Edmund stop. "Hm...soon." She smirked at her brother and turned back to Edmund, herself beginning to sing as well. As soon as the song ended, Addi grinned, swishing her wand and allowing Edmund to stop. Shaking her head, laughing, she turned to Grey and smiled. "I'll see you later?" She knew he'd want to leave, and as soon as possible so they could talk. Addi wrapped her arms around him once more to give him a hug, and then she let go, walking to the wall. Her back rested against it and she watched her brother leave.

The Monsters walk among us He wasn’t sure his plea to let Edmund go was going to be effective at all, but apparently it was. Addi’s little quip about maybe letting him free of his rather vocal had him on edge for a second. She had definitely changed, and he had yet to understand if that was a good thing or not. Addilyn was no longer the same sister that she had been only a few months earlier. Too much had happened since then for her stay that way, no help from her siblings of course. In one sense, Grey was happier knowing that she could stick up for herself the way she had done with him. It meant that she could fight her own battles if he wasn’t there, especially next year. Theodosia wasn’t going to magically disappear unless someone made it so; Addi had to be able to defend herself on her own and prepare for the worst in case the nasty little Slytherin tried to come back and strangle her again. Grey had done his job so far, albeit a sloppy one, and was happy with the results. He wished all of this had been done on purpose, all to make her stronger, but it was sadly not intentional. He’d have to be more careful from now on because he had handled everything with disregard and carelessness, despite thinking it was all for the best. Finally, Addi waved her wand again and Edmund looked like he was free from her vocal torture. It definitely looked like he was enjoying it near the end. Was it still consider torture if they liked it? Regardless, it was time to give them space, so Grey decided to leave. Addi seemed to have realized that already and was already saying goodbye to him. “Yeah, later sounds good.” He flashed a smile back at her and Edmund. “Good luck with the singing, you might want to consider joining the choir or something Edmund.” Waving at the two of them, Grey left them where they were and headed back towards the Gryffindor common room. That couldn’t have gone any better. He’d have to remember to thank Edmund for all of that later on. The kid took a really bold move with the hopes that things would be resolved, and now they were. That was ballsy, but Grey felt comfortable knowing that Edmund was there for Addi when she needed it the most. He was the true hero in all of this. grey xavier slater & @jill2 & @edmund 413 Into The Mouth Of Hell We March by Trivium Grey Out! MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

Edmund smiled and waved at Grey, watching Addi hug him as he got ready to leave. Edmund could have said something, but he was enjoying the silence of not having to sing ... or speak. It was actually a huge relief to have control of himself again, he was just relieved that Addi seemed to be in a better place. She wasn't as angry as he thought she'd be. Granted, once Grey left she was probably going to chew him out. Still, things could be worse, so he was going to consider it a good thing.
"Hey Adds," he commented, not really knowing what else to say. She was probably going to let him have it now so he might as well just let her start when she was ready.

@edmund <3 Addilyn smirked at her brother as he commented to her boyfriend. Grey was such a sarcastic guy, but it was funny to her all the same. He left, and Addilyn turned to Edmund as he spoke. Her eyes immediately narrowed, and she folded her arms across her chest. "Edmund." Addi was not in the mood to do simple chit chat and talk. What he had done, whether it helped the relationship between brother and sister or not, was not nice and it offended her. Edmund had never kissed her like that before, except to get her to not pay attention, and then he shoved her! That was incredibly rude.

Addi said his name and her voice was so angry and frustrated that Edmund knew nothing he said was going to help his situation. He knew before he started the whole thing that she wasn't going to like it, but he did it anyway, deciding that if it helped her and Grey figure things out that it would be worth it. Now he just had to accept whatever punishment she gave because really, he deserved it. He took a deep breath and nodded to her, gesturing for her to go ahead. She might as well let it all out. It was better than her trying to hold it in, at least. He was just happy that she wasn't shutting him out entirely. That would be the ultimate punishment, to lose her for helping her.

@edmund <3 Addilyn was not entirely expecting his reaction. Actually, she was quite shocked. He seemed ready for it, which she was glad. Obviously Edmund knew this wasn't going to be the fun part and that he was going to be mad. He seemed to think she was either going to hit him or yell at him loudly, but Addilyn really couldn't bring herself to do either. He had helped her, he had helped Grey and brought them back together again. Addi tilted her head, her facial expression still strong, and she quickly marched towards him. Her hands rested on his chest and she pushed him directly up against the wall and laid her lips on his, kissing him with a passion she's never felt before.

Edmund was surprised. Really, there was no other word to accurately convey his emotions at the moment. When Addilyn marched up to him and pushed him up against the wall, he was sure she was going to yell at him or something, but she didn't. Instead, she started to kiss him and, despite his surprise, Edmund kissed her back. He didn't understand what was going on in her mind; this was the last reaction he expected from her after what he'd done, but he was glad for it. He felt relieved that it didn't seem like his decision had put a wedge between them. That would have been the worst thing. He put his hands on her waist and pulled her closer, but hesitated to do more than that. He didn't know if she wanted him to or if she was still angry. After a while, he pulled away so he could catch his breath. With narrowed eyes, he gave her a crooked smile. "What was that for?" he asked curiously. Really, he wanted to understand what she was thinking right now.

@edmund <3 Addilyn was glad that Edmund kissed her back. She wasn't sure how he was going to react in the first place, but she had hoped that he would do just this. Addi wanted to yell at him, she really did, and she was actually upset with him. But she just couldn't do it. Looking into those dark brown eyes and that beautifully freckled face, she couldn't yell at him. Seeing him smile at her and question what the kiss was for made her narrow her eyes at him. Addilyn pressed her body against his so he wouldn't move from the wall, and she stuck her tongue out at him.
"What's it matter what it was for?" Addilyn knew she couldn't be angry at him forever, or pretend to be angry. She shut her eyes and took a deep breath, then opened her eyes and looked back at him and tilted her head. "Thank you, E."

Edmund knew this wasn't the time to laugh. Addi was mad at him. He knew it and she knew it. But when she stuck her tongue out at him, Ed couldn't help himself. Ha laughed, hoping she wouldn't get upset at him for it because he really couldn't hold it in.
"It doesn't matter, Adds. I was just curious," he answered her softly when she finally said something to him. At least she wasn't yelling. Sure, her voice was angry, but he expected that. As much as he wanted things to go perfectly all the time, they couldn't. She closed her eyes and breathed deeply and Edmund just waited. What was she doing? When her eyes opened again, she was thanking him. Edmund instantly shook his head, "You have nothing to thank me for," he told her with a gentle smile. Really, she didn't. He'd forced her to do something she didn't want to because he suspected it was best for her. Just because he was right didn't mean she owed him anything. He leaned forward and kissed her, not able to help himself.

@edmund <3 Addilyn's face immediately fell as he laughed at her. Of course he'd find humor in all of this. Yes, she supposed it was a bit funny. But being in her spot, she would have much rathered Edmund just speak to both her and Grey, and then have them talk. Not try to trick both of them and shove them in a dark place without their wands. That was a bit...scary. She had no idea what was going on or where she was.
"Nothing to thank you for? Nothing at all? You just...you just helped me and my brother." Her voice was quiet. She was definitely happy for what he had done, but she was also still emotional about it all. As if she hadn't cried enough in the closet with Grey, she smiled while she looked at Edmund's chest, tears welling up in her eyes. "We...he finally said he loved me." When she looked back up at Edmund, he had leaned forward to kiss her, and she kissed him back feverishly, a few tears falling down her cheeks. Goodness, she loved Edmund.
