Dan nodded, though he wished she wouldn't worry about it. As far as he knew, it was easier to work around then it seemed. Still, he understood the bad being louder than the good. That's what he dealt with every day. "Sucks how that works out," he agreed. She seemed to have her own issues with the schedule, of course, considering she mentioned she was team captain and all. He nodded again, agreeing that it could become a problem eventually... though, he wasn't sure if he really thought any team would care about that if she was good.
Dan nodded as she mentioned seeker position, "that one too, yeah. But our seeker is always in shape and ready, so I haven't done it in a while," he admitted.

Jamie nodded when Dan said that it sucked how it worked out that way. He didn’t seem particularly keen to discuss the topic any further, which didn’t surprise Jamie. People always said they were find that she was a werewolf, but when it came to discussing the various problems with her discussion, they clammed up. Jamie wished she could understand it, but she didn’t. She just wanted someone who wouldn’t brush off how she felt when she talked about her worries. Max had been that, but then – nope, she wasn’t going to think about that.
“Guess I’m kind of a one trick pony.” Jamie said flatly. She couldn’t imagine doing anything other than Chasing, and she wasn’t sure whether that was a good thing or not. Teams probably wanted versatility, and Jamie wasn’t sure she had what they were looking for. She was a natural leader, but considering she wasn’t going to be a captain her first year, she wasn’t going to bank on any of her personality traits being useful to her off the field.

"You must be really good at it, though," he encouraged. He was sure that she was considering she was captain and all. Not that being captain directly related to talent, but it was a bit of a factor. She seemed nice enough to him, confident somewhere underneath the words she was saying. He was getting strange emotions from her though... definitely disappointment with a mix of bitterness and resentment. But, he could tell she was proud, too. Proud of what she was good at, even if it wasn't the most obvious emotion right now. He stopped, turning toward her, "listen, I'm not very good at talking but... I am good at listening. If you want to talk at me, I'm willing," he offered, "I'm just not so good at the responding part. It's probably a weird offer, coming from a total stranger," he added, shoving his hands into his pockets, "but it's there. I should get going," he added, "if I see Elias I'll send him your way," he promised.

Jamie gave a half-hearted nod when Dan said she must be really good at Chasing. She thought so, but the more she thought the more she wondered if she was just some cruel diversity hire. Jamie knew she was being unreasonable, both expecting people to reject her for being a werewolf and thinking they would hire her only because of that fact, but it was a hard world to navigate. The only role model she had in the situation was Aaron, and his job wasn’t one where lycanthropy really ever seemed to be a factor. Alcohol, definitely, which worried Jamie, but him being a werewolf wasn’t that big of a deal – he just could not work the shift on the full moon.
“I’m not good at talking, either.” Jamie admitted sadly. “My sister says I feel a lot, but I’m not much good at making those feelings words. Alexithymia.” She had looked up the word for the struggle she had constantly, and Jamie had found that there was an easy word for it. “Thanks, Dan. I hope you have a good day.” Now she just had to try to find her brother.
