There wasn't anything wrong with the pancakes. She'd known for a while that Nikolai was a good cook, and the pancakes were no exception. It was simply the timing. That she was nauseous already, and basically all food, even her favorites, sounded unappetizing. None the less, she forced herself to keep picking away at the pancake, just to appease him. She was slightly convinced that he'd force feed her if she didn't eat at least little bites, and he was too observant for her to pretend she was eating by picking it apart. It took far to long, but she'd finally managed to eat half the pancake when she stopped completely. She took a slow, deep breath, hoping the nausea would settle. And it did... A little. She dared not test her luck by eating the rest.

@magdalena <3 Nikolai smiled at her. "There. Isn't that better, now? Let's hope the healer brings some medicine for you so you can eat normally." It wasn't healthy for her not to eat, not for herself and not for the baby. Nikolai would definitely let the healer now, and he'd make sure Magdalena had everything she needed. Nikolai noticed how much she ate and he sat back, not wanting to push her anymore. He knew she was nauseous; if he made her stuff her face she might get sick and that was all his cooking out the window. "How do you feel?"

Nikolai was smiling.... She intentionally made sure to frown in response. "Not really." She admitted. At his mention of the healer bringing something that might help, she almost seemed to perk up a little. If this nausea would just pass, she might be able to start thinking straight... or function normally. Hell, feeling a little better would at the very least help her mood. She looked away from the table and food. "Like I want to throw up, if you really want to know." Here was hoping she didn't throw up.... She hated when that happened.

@magdalena <3 He did notice her frown but had no response to it. He felt terrible that she didn't feel good, and he knew which types of medicine he could give her to make her feel better but he had none. The only type Niko had would hurt the baby. "You don't have to finish it. But you should probably eat in another hour, Olli. Something small." Forcing food down her throat wouldn't be the best option.
Nikolai looked up at her, smiling. "So... Since we're, keeping it... Do you want it to be a boy or a girl?"

Magdalena slowly nodded. She didn't know much about pregnancies, or babies, or anything like that, but she did know about 'morning sickness'. No idea why it happened, just that for some reason the nausea and throwing up were totally normal. Completely miserable, but normal. As he mentioned, hopefully a healer would be able to give her something to help with it. "Yeah, probably." Eating in smaller portions might help. That way she wasn't accidentally starving herself and... the baby.
His question surprise her, and both her eyebrows raised as she began to contemplate the question. Boy or girl? Hell if she knew! She honestly had no idea what to expect, or which she'd 'want'. That is, until she really started thinking about it and... well imagining. She smiled. "Girl." There was just something about the idea of Nikolai holding a baby girl in his arms. She couldn't explain what the emotion was, just that... Well, she liked the thought.

@magdalena <3 Nikolai assumed she'd want a girl. It just seemed like Magdalena would want a daughter first rather than a son. Niko on the other hand didn't have much of a preference. Either way, he'd be happy as long as the baby is healthy. "I'm okay with either. But... It must look like you. It'll be much more attractive than if it looked like me." He teased. Of course they were both very attractive people, but Magi was hands down better looking than him.
He stood up and grabbed himself a mug of coffee and a piece of parchment with ink. Nikolai began writing, requesting that a healer come to their house later. "Would you like your own coffee?"

Magdalena smiled a little wider as he teased about who the baby would look like. Magi knew she was attractive. After all, being a night club dancer meant looking just as good as you could dance. You were there for entertainment, and what better way to entertain men then with pretty girls? But Nikolai was just as attractive. "With your eyes." As long as they had his eyes, she'd be happy. She loved his eyes. His gorgeous eyes.
Magi pushed the plates to the side and folded her arms on the table and rested her head on them. "No. Could you fix chamomile tea though?" She kept several packets of the tea above the fridge, with her hot chocolate mix stash. Chamomile tea usually helped when her stomach was upset. Maybe it'd help with this morning sickness.

@magdalena <3 His eyes? That wasn't bad. They were green, sometimes changed to blue but majority of the time they stayed green. And if they had a daughter with beautiful dark hair like Magdalena, Nikolai would be okay with that.
He nodded his head and got the tea pot ready, letting it warm up on the stove and placing the tea bag in the mug for her. Niko knew she didn't like anything in her tea, so he just set the cup in front of her and poured the hot water in. Nikolai sat back down and put his head in his hands, smiling at her. "I know we're scared...and this isn't the best way to go about life, but he or she will be very loved. I'm-I'm nervous to tell my parents." Niko's voice quieted down as he got to the end of his sentence.

Magdalena closed her eyes and inhaled deeply as the cup of tea was placed in front of her. There was something calming about Chamomile tea. She knew it was all in her head, but even thinking it made her feel better would help. She lifted her head as he spoke, so she could look at him. When he mentioned his parents, she swallowed. Her was nervous to tell them? She hadn't even met his parents yet! How was she supposed to feel, facing his parents for the first time knowing she was pregnant with their grandchild? "... How are we going to tell them..?" She asked. How would they react? What would they think of her? She wasn't exactly what.... well, what people would consider good 'bring home to meet the parents' girlfriend material. Especially if they found out what her employment (soon to be former employment) was. She sat up a little more, took the mug of tea in both hands and stared absently down at it.

@magdalena <3 Nikolai took a sip of his coffee, shrugging at Magdalena. Viktor and Elena knew of Magdalena, and that she was now living with him. However...he'd have to tell them about the baby. And about him not wanting to continue in Quidditch, and instead go into Healing. And about the threat towards Magdalena. Nikolai's thumb was brushing back and forth on his coffee mug, and he stared into the light brown liquid. He took in a deep breath. "I'm going to invite my father over. You don't have to be there if you don't want..it could-get nasty." Niko gave her a sad smile.

Magdalena took a deep breath, and then a small sip from her tea. It was still pretty hot, but she almost didn't notice. She was far to nervous about the current topic choice; telling his parents about her being pregnant. They'd probably react just like her own family... If she was on talking terms with them. Her parents- father would probably be so disappointed. Upset that she got pregnant so young, and especially out of wedlock. Her parents were- had been- more traditional. They were older, after all. Her brother might be more accepting, but she couldn't imagine him approving either. He'd be more upset about his baby sister being pregnant then the whole 'not married' thing. Magi, unfortunatley, didn't know Nikolai's parents. She had no way of knowing how they might react. Another deep breath, and she nodded. "Either way, I'll probably leave a bad first impression. It might be easier for you to tell them alone though...." Either way, when she met his parents she'd be pregnant. But she'd rather let them have a little time to come to terms with the news before meeting her. Meeting her and finding out at the same time would be pretty hard to swallow.

@magdalena <3 Nikolai stifled a laugh. Of course it would be easier to tell them without her there. So he just smiled at her, knowing she was just as nervous as he was. Niko's never had to go through something as nerve wracking as this, so apparently he got through it with smiling and laughing... or just ignoring it in general. "Well, wish me luck, Olli. I know my father will be mad...mum disappointed. I just don't want them to take it out on you."

Magdalena smiled softly at his words. Not because they were necessarily good, but because they were thoughtful. He didn't want his parents to blame her, even though she was still pretty sure it was her fault. She couldn't think of how they'd managed it, but she was the one taking birth control. Something had happened with her. But, Nikolai wasn't blaming her. A part of her wanted to tell him not to worry, that she wouldn't care what his parents thought. Because she just might not. She didn't have the best relationship with her own father, not having a good one with his parents wouldn't phase her. But there was a small part of her that wanted to make this work. That didn't want to let his parents think poorly of her and what was going on. "It'll be fine." maybe not immediately, but she hoped in the end...

@magdalena <3 Nikolai nodded his head. "That's all I can hope for, Magdalena." His father was quite the intimidating man, and he was not excited for that conversation to come. He was already attempting to brace himself for the conversation, brace himself for his dad's reaction, for his disappointment. If anything, Niko wished he could've done anything else that wouldn't emit disappointment from the one man he wanted to make so proud of him.
Nikolai drank the rest of his coffee and went to grab another mug full. "The healer will be here in a few hours. Do you need anything?" Or him to even do anything; Nikolai wasn't positive that having someone look you over like that was too exciting.

Magdalena raised her cup of tea to take a slow, tentative sip. She could feel her stomach beginning to churn just a little more violently. She knew why. The pancakes. They were good, but her stomach just wasn't having it right now. Apparently banana pancakes and nausea didn't mix together. She just nodded as he spoke, not daring to open her mouth quite yet with her stomach so upset. She hoped, desperately, that he was just over reacting. That really, his father would be supportive after the initial shock, but she didn't know the man. She didn't know what to expect from him. She knew her own father would be incredibly upset with her. He was very conservative, so he'd have a hard time swallowing his only daughter being pregnant at 18 and unmarried.
Slowly she set her half full cup of tea back on the table, and closed her eyes as she took a slow deep breath. Inhale through her nose, out through her mouth. It didn't help settle her stomach, and she knew she was going to be sick. "A bowl. She managed to mutter. Yeah, definitely going to be sick. She was on her feet immediately, offering now explanation as she hurried up the stairs to the bathroom.
Magdalena hoped the healer would bring something for the nausea, because throwing up was one of the worst feelings.
