Addilyn wasn't sure what to do anymore. Except just be with her sister and try to help her. This was all crazy difficult, and such a shock for all of them. But Addi wasn't going to try to show any pity or guilt. Claire would not approve of that, she never did. The Slater's had to be strong and diligent, and strong willed with whatever goals they had...or their parents had. Addilyn listened to Claire speak, and she felt a small pang of guilt as she thought of Professor Jakebson. She knew of his losses, and she never really thought to talk to him. "I know we don't know what it's like to lose anyone, Claire...but we don't want to have to know what it's like to lose you."

The Monsters walk among us Maybe Claire wasn’t ready to talk about all of it. Maybe that was why she was holding out so much, acting like it wasn’t effecting her. It was pretty obvious that it was, yet she wasn’t showing signs of how bad. Deflection after deflection, trying to move on to whatever it was that they were supposed to be doing today. She was probably right. Now might be too soon still. Sure, it had been a few months, but that wasn’t nearly long enough to move on from. Grey would have liked to think that he could and yet he knew he probably wouldn’t be able to. The way his sister was acting was the exact way he probably would too. Addi was really the only emotional one out of the three, aside from his own little outburst a month early when confronted by Claire. It seemed like they were at the end of this though. He could tell Claire didn’t want to keep going on about it; whether or not it was actually hurting her to talk about all of it, he didn’t know. Grey was positive that he and Addi had said what they needed to say. Hopefully Claire understood they were serious about being there. If this had happened a year ago, maybe even a few months even, they definitely wouldn’t have been having this conversation. “Not to interject, but I think we need to move on from that.” Grey looked back and forth between his sisters. “I don’t want that to seem like it’s less important than it is, but if you don’t want to talk about it Claire, then we shouldn’t force you.” He took a deep breath before continuing. “And I’m kind of hungry now, so can we maybe go do what we were supposed to do? I think we all need that after all of this.” MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0
