@magdalena <3 Nikolai just got back from the store. Well, a few stores. He had gone out to look for baby books. Mostly for Magdalena, but for himself as well. He assumed he knew much more about babies, but he wanted her to be able to figure some stuff out as well. Maybe it would calm her down and give her some patience.
Niko walked into the apartment and shut the door loudly, grinning. He had bought coffee for himself and some tea for her. "Oh, Magdalena! Where are you?" He also had a surprise for her, but that would be given to her in a little bit.

Magdalena was bored. Out of her mind. Nikolai was still waiting for an owl back from the Headmaster on what they should do, and so, as a precaution, Magi was under 'house arrest' as she kept calling it. She'd sent in her immediate resignation from the club and Nikolai was sure there'd be some sort of retaliation. So, until they figured it out she was laying low. But boy was it boring as hell! She could only play the piano so much, and read so many books before she just couldn't stand it anymore.
To make it worse, it's only been a week since they found out she was pregnant. If this was what the whole nine months was going to be like, she might just go mad.
Currently she was lying flat on her back in the living room, sprawled out as she stared absently at the ceiling. There was a box of sour candies next to her, and one of her cats, Ditzy, was asleep on her chest. He'd curled up there half an hour ago and hadn't moved since. But neither had Magi. It was the sound of the front door closing that finally seemed to rouse her from her bored stupor. Just enough for her to raise her head to see his head, before plopping her head back on the floor. "Here. You sound way to excited." she answered. The cat didn't move.

@magdalena <3 Her voice made his eyebrows raise. She sounded quite far. That was unusual. Nikolai walked into the kitchen, and she wasn't in there, so he continued into the living room. Magdalena was not seen on any of the couches. Niko scrunched up his face in confusion and walked forward more, only to see her lying on the floor staring at the ceiling. The laugh that erupted from his mouth was loud and he couldn't stop it. "What the bloody hell are you doing down there, lazy? Go for a run or something!" Niko knew she probably would hate that idea, but he'd run with her. He enjoyed it. "I've got presents!" Some she'd either like or hate, but there was one he really hoped she enjoyed.
Niko ran back into the entrance hall to get the bag and he came back, grinning from ear to ear. He sat on the couch and patted the seat next to him. "Come up here and see, or you can't see at all."

It took him a few minutes to realize where she was. She just continued staring at the ceiling, bored, as her her cat continued sleeping on top of her. Apparently she made a good pillow. Then... hysterical laughter. Magdalena raised her head to glare at him, though it was only half hearted. She wasn't mad at him, and thinking about it... It probably was pretty silly looking. Her head plopped back down and she closed her eyes, as if perfectly content to keep laying there. "I'm too bored to go running." That was an interesting excuse... None the less, running wasn't her favorite thing, but she liked being in good shape. Oh heavens, being pregnant was going to mess with that, wasn't it?!
Her eyes opened when he said presents though, her head lifting once more. "What kind?" She asked quickly. Finally some distraction to her endless boredom! He left the room quickly, and returned just as quickly as he left, a bag with him. Her eyebrow raised as he sat down and patted the spot next to him. Oh great, she was supposed to move. Her gaze dropped to the cat on her chest. His eyes were open, and he was staring at her quite intensely. Obviously he knew what she was about to do, and didn't look pleased at all. Magdalena let out a sigh, though it sounded more like an annoyed groan, as she sat up, pushing the cat off of her in the same motion. "Why didn't you just come down here? I was comfortable." Not really, but not putting up any sort of resistance just wasn't in her personality. Slowly, as if it was the most painful and agonizing motion ever, she crawled onto the couch, making sure it was extremely dramatic. Now in the spot next to him, she put her feet across his lap, and leaned against the couch as she looked at him, eyebrow still raised.

@magdalena <3 Nikolai scoffed at her. Too bored to go running. That didn't even make any sense. You can't be too bored to do something! She was so overreacting, but it was slightly amusing to him. However, if she was going to be like this for nine months...God help him. "That's not even a thing, Magdalena. We can go for a run after this if you'd like. It'll make you feel better. That, or I can teach you to fly." He grinned wickedly at her.
And then, Magdalena Ollivander did the most obnoxious thing possible. Nikolai watched, mouth half open, as she slowly crawled, more like dragging, herself off the floor and onto the couch next to him. Niko slowly rose his right eyebrow, looking at her with a face that said, 'what the hell was that'? "Obviously I didn't go down there just to see that ridiculous reaction." Nikolai shook his head and opened up the bag on his lap, taking out the three books. "I got books!"

Go running or learn how to fly. Those were the options he was giving her. "I know how to fly." She stubbornly commented. She did. She'd taken flying lessons first year, like every other Hogwarts student.... It just might have been a few years since the last time she was on a broom... But it couldn't be that hard... right?
Okay, maybe that was a little dramatic, but Magdalena was a dramatic soul.Dramatic and flamboyant. So he shouldn't be that surprised by it. He just fixed her with a look that made her shrug in response. "I'm a ridiculous person." She responded, as if it was already obvious. Finally though he pulled out several books and her eyebrows rose. Books? "What kind of books?" She leaned forward to get a peak at the covers and spines, reading the titles. They were baby books. Well, at least now they could find out what they should be doing, and what to expect! As crazy as it sounded it... actually reassured her a bit. At least they wouldn't be totally oblivious now.

@magdalena <3 Nikolai just waved her off. He actually wasn't sure if she could fly...he'd never seen her do it, and this was the first time she actually stated that she did know how. It would be nice for the two of them to fly together, but Nikolai doubted that would ever happen, no matter how much he wanted it to.
"You are quite the ridiculous person." He loved her anyways. Magdalena was always dramatic, but that...that was just amusing. He hadn't expected her to act so incapable of moving, so it gave him quite the laugh even though he was pretty shocked. Nikolai rose an eyebrow when she began reading the covers. He tilted his head to the side, studying her face. She didn't seem angry or upset...actually slightly relieved. "Are they...are they okay?"

Magdalena shrugged. The more she thought about it... the more more she realized she might not actually know how to fly anymore. It'd been years, and she'd only flew during class, and quite poorly for that matter! But, the strange thing was? She didn't have anything against flying, not really. Just... never flew for some reason. It reminded her a tiny bit of water when she was younger, but not so much anymore. Or at least... not that she thought.
She grinned as he agreed she was ridiculous. "You love me for it." She cockily and smugly commented. Magdalena did love to entertain people, and that was part of where her dramatic flare came from. Flamboyant, dramatic, outspoken (though a little blunt and harsh at times). She loved having a good time, and making sure other people did too. Plus, with her total shamelessness and near inability to get embarrassed, she was willing to do just about anything. As Nikolai knew extremely well.
Magdalena tucked her hair behind her ears and leaned back to look at him after reading the titles, and smiled. "How should I know? I'm not a baby expert." She teased, before giving him a light and quick kiss on the kiss. "They're perfect."

@magdalena <3 Nikolai rose an eyebrow at her grin. Of course he loved her for it, no matter how ridiculous she was, he'd always love her. And watching her slowly crawl and drag herself across the floor was pretty cute, even if he wasn't going to admit it to her. Nikolai definitely didn't want her doing that again; she had legs, she could walk.
His head tilted to the side as she looked at the covers and spines of the books. "I'm not a baby expert either, but I do know more than you do!" Nikolai stuck his tongue out at her teasingly, but it quickly went back in his mouth when she leaned forward to give him a quick kiss. A light blush founds it's way onto his cheeks and he ndoded his head. "I'm glad. But you've actually got to read them, you know."

Magdalena shrugged dramatically. Oh, there was no doubt in her mind that he knew more about babies then her! He had three younger sisters. Yes, they were pretty close in age, but it still gave him more experience then her. She was the baby of her family. "Hey, I have no problem with that. It just means you get to change more diapers." That... was one thing she was especially not looking forward to. Now that she had accepted the fact that she was pregnant, and a healer had come to make sure everything was alright, she was having to confront what was going to happen after the baby was born. She... They were going to be parents.
She grinned as he blushed slightly. She loved how his cheeks would turn pink over the simplest of things. She shifted on the couch, curling up against him and resting her cheek against his shoulder. "Of course I'll read them. You have to too, you know."

@magdalena <3 Nikolai shook his head immediately, holding up a finger to her. He knew she was going to say that. "Hey hey now, just because I've changed diapers before doesn't mean I get to do all of them, you've got to learn and you're going to help out equally." Niko's eyebrows went up. He knew Magi was scared, as was he. This was going to be his child, not just his sibling and that was a lot more pressure then just having to change a diaper here and there. "There's much more to it then just diapers, too."
Magdalena immediately came closer to him, and he grinned. He loved this, loved having her next to him and loved holding her. "I know that, darling. I actually...I actually read one of them already. In the bookstore." It was slightly embarrassing, but he had hidden it well behind another book. Thankfully the woman at the counter wasn't familiar with who he was, so she wouldn't spill the beans to the world. Nikolai tilted his head and kissed her hair. "I've got a gift."

Magdalena raised an eyebrow as he held up his finger at her, as if silently chastising her or silencing her. "I didn't say all. Just more." She retorted quickly. She wasn't serious though. She knew that this was going to have to be an equal partnership between them. That was the only way she'd be able to make it, knowing that he was right there every step of the way. Thankfully they had several months to figure it out and learn what they needed to.
She raised her head when he said he'd read one already, both eyebrows raised now. Well, now she knew why he was gone for so long. He'd gotten distracted in the bookstore. "Oh? Get any strange looks?" She teased. She could only imagine that he'd been a little uncomfortable in the store. Nikolai was a fairly private person, and he didn't trust most people. For obvious reasons. She lowered head back down, and slipped her arms through his own as she let out a soft breath. "Hm?" She questioned when he continued, saying he had a 'gift'. She raised her head again, turning to look at him curiously.

He was glad she understood that he'd help her. Nikolai wanted this to all work out; out of everything possible, this needed to work out. They were going to be parents. They were going to have a child together, a son or a daughter. And Nikolai wanted that baby to be loved, and to be happy.
"No, no weird looks. I hid it behind a bigger book." He grinned. At least he hoped no one noticed, maybe the cashier, but he didn't care much for her. Nikolai turned and grabbed the bag next to him. He opened it, and pulled out the gift. It was a baby onesie. And...while Nikolai knew that they didn't know what they were going to have, he had a feeling it would be a girl. Not only that, but he wanted it to be a girl. It was pink, and it said something about dancing on the front, which he figured would make Magdalena laugh. "I know we could possibly have a boy, but I just...I just thought it was cute..."

Hide it behind a bigger book. Magdalena laughed, shaking her head. "Clever." Of course he'd hidden the book. "Learn anything interesting from it?" Pregnancy and babies were such a foreign concept to her, she didn't know what to expect.
She sat up, unwrapping her arms as he moved to pick up the other bag. What was he up to? Soon though he was pulling out an adorable pink onesie and she grinned. He sounded so timid as he spoke, as if worried someone else might hear him if he spoke to loudly. "Did you just say 'cute'?" she asked, making sure she'd heard correctly. Magi wasn't sure why, or how to explain it, but, like Nikolai she just... she had this feeling it would be a girl. It didn't make sense to her, just that for some reason it was hard to imagine that the baby was a boy. But the fact that he'd bought a onesie - their first 'baby' item other then the books.... It made her heart flutter just a little.

@magdalena <3 "I did learn quite a few things, actually. But I think you'd like to learn about them on your own." Nikolai didn't want to spoil anything for her, and some things were just not... Fun to learn about.
Magdalena's reaction was everything Nikolai wanted to see. She was... Happy. His eyes widened in delight and he smiled. "I did... Look at it. Tiny dancer. Just like you." Nikolai knew Magi would find it just as amusing as he did. And hey, if they ended up having a boy, he'd go buy a different onesie that said little seeker instead. His dad would love it... Ugh his dad. Niko did not even want to think about telling his parents. "How are you feeling, sweetheart? Hungry?"
