Magdalena didn't like how he said that. That she'd like to learn about them on her own. Basically not telling her. As if it was some sort of surprise. And by the sound of it, not a good one. "Will I be cursing my memory when I find out?" She asked. She had good memory. Like a sponge.
She grinned at him. "Tiny? I am not tiny." She was pretty average in height actually. But compared to Nikolai's own height... Well, no wonder he saw her as 'tiny'. A few more inches, and he'd have a full foot on her. Dancer though? She'd own that one, no shame about it. She took the books from his lap, and the onesie from his hands. She took a moment to smile down at all of them, before setting them on the other end of the couch. Only once he was free of his purchases did she lay down, putting her head in his lap and closing her eyes. "Fine today. The anti-nausea potions have been helping." Thankfully she hadn't thrown up since the whole pancake incident. Definitely progress. "I ate a little earlier, so I'm good for now."

@magdalena <3 Nikolai....giggled. He giggled at Magdalena's question. Some stuff in the book was horrific, but he wasn't going to tell Magi that. She'd have to find out on her own. But it was childbirth, it was everything you needed to know and Nikolai was glad he read it. Niko bit his lip shut, shocked at the giggle, but shook his head quickly. "Cursing it, maybe."
"You're pretty tiny, darling. But don't worry, I like you being tiny." He leaned forward and kissed the top of her head. He watched as she took the books and the onesie and looked at them. He was glad she was happy about them and enjoyed them, and he couldn't wait to see her reading the books; she'd look absolutely adorable. Nikolai nodded his head. "Well I'm glad you ate, and that you haven't gotten sick. But if you get hungry, you'll let me know, right? I'd love to cook you whatever you might...crave." Niko winked.

"Ugh, that's a yes." She groaned. He was giggling. Freaking giggling. As if he was excited for her to figure it out. "You sound like a lunatic." She muttered softly. Everytime Nikolai got this... giddy... It was a little unnerving. Okay, more then a little.
Magdalena rolled onto her back, her head in his lap and stared up at him. "Why does it sound like you expect me to come up with some insane request?" She did know that some women got cravings when they were pregnant. It had to do with the hormones or something. She didn't really know that much about it, just what she'd heard. Maybe one of the books would explain it. "With an offer like that, there's no way I could refuse. You've always been the better cook. Just no pancakes, still to soon for me to try those any time soon." Throwing it up definitely made it hard to have any appetite for pancakes right now. Maybe someday, but not right now.

@magdalena <3 A lunatic? Well, maybe he'd continue the laughter then. He would prefer not to, but if he scared Magdalena a bit that might be fun. It wasn't too terrible, the book. It was stuff you'd learn and you'd get over the gross photos, but he was a bit nervous for when it would all actually happen. Seeing the baby, hearing the baby, Magdalena's pain...it just was something he knew he'd be in a state of shock for. "Maybe I enjoy being a lunatic." Nikolai smirked at Magdalena and shook his body a bit.
"Well hey, who knows. You might want something totally disgusting soon. And trust me, if it's that bad, I won't eat any. You could have it all." Nikolai could't remember if his mother ever had any horrible cravings as he was too young, but the book he had read did say something about them and he was awaiting for it to happen. Even if Magdalena didn't think so, Niko had a feeling it would happen. "But those pancakes are so good! I can't believe they made you sick, they're my favorite."

Magdalena took Nikolai's hand in her own, turning it over so the palm was exposed and lightly started to trace the lines on his hand with her fingers. "Only maybe?" She asked curiously, her finger tips lightly and delicately tracing a crease in his wrist then. Her gaze flickered his hand, to his eyes, back to his hand, and then finally seemed to settle on his eyes. She just stared up at him, smiling softly.
She made a face as he accused her of wanting something disgusting soon, and that he wouldn't want any of it. "I will not!" She stubbornly protested as she sat up, scowling at him. She wasn't angry, but she also didn't want to be that crazy pregnant lady with the insane cravings! "I don't think it was the pancakes. Just food in general."

@magdalena <3 "Yes, only maybe. If you like it, yeah, I could probably be a lunatic more often?" Nikolai rose a teasing eyebrow at her. He knew she would probably disapprove, but he'd be a lunatic anyways. It was nice to add some amusement to their life and relationship, especially with everything that was currently going on and was going to happen. They needed laughter. "Anyways, you're a lunatic also. You just crawled like a ghoul across the floor."
Magdalena's reaction caused a loud laugh from Nikolai and he sat up with her, holding up a hand so she didn't freak out at him. "Oh don't worry, darling. You will." Nikolai gave her a large grin, teeth and all. He enjoyed teasing her, but he may have to stop soon to protect himself from her pregnancy anger. "If you end up hating pancakes I will be very upset." Niko stuck out his bottom lip.

Magdalena raised an eyebrow. More often? After a moment she grinned, and swiftly, and quite firmly, kissed him on the cheek. It wasn't meant to be loving in anyway, instead playful and energetic. "I like every part of you. Just don't go too crazy and end up in a loony bin. It'd be troublesome breaking you out." When he continued to speak and accused her of crawling like a ghoul she gasped, feigning shock and dramatically placed a hand over her heart, as if wounded. "A ghoul?! That hurts! How can you accuse me of being similar to something so horrifying?!" She stuck out her bottom lip, pouting, and batted her eyes a few times. "I'm a sweet, innocent angel. Not a ghoul."
As he stuck out his own bottom lip to pout, she immediately reached out, to try and poke his lip back in, now grinning. "I don't hate pancakes. I just don't want to eat them right now. What about spaghetti? With lots of meat balls. And ice cream for desert! Chocolate ice cream." Hey, he said anything!

@magdalena <3 Nikolai rose his eyebrow at her. "Troublesome? Aren't I always troublesome?" Pregnancy brain was definitely creeping up on her. She was just going on and on about stuff, and stuff that was most likely never going to happen. Niko, in a loony bin? Where did that thought even come to her mind? He gave her a shocked and confused look, and kept that facial expression as she freaked out about him calling her a ghoul. Nikolai wasn't even sure what to say as he stared at her wide eyed. She really was nuts. He blinked a few times, and just didn't speak.
Magdalena then immediately pushed his lower lip in and Nikolai's jaw dropped, his mouth hanging open. What in the world? "Well, I do make the best spaghetti and meatballs, although Irina might disagree. She'll say she loves Dan's more than mine of course." He shook his head, not even wanting to think of that. "And I'm sure I can go out and buy you ice cream...I don't think we have chocolate, as I don't like it...we've got vanilla and mint chocolate chip."

It really wasn't the pregnancy making her act.. .well, silly and childish. It was the boredom. She was just bored. So, when she was bored, she started acting more dramatically to create a more entertaining environment. "Yes. Yes you are." She grinned, and kissed his cheek again. Her other dramatic antics didn't get much of a reaction, just a wide eyed stare and silence. So, she held it for only a few more moments before letting out a heavy sigh, the faked pout disappearing. "Oh come on, no reaction?" She muttered, slightly put out. He wasn't making it easy.
She shrugged as he mentioned Irina and Dan. "I've never had his, so until then, I'm convinced you make the best ones around." She stated confidently. "You... don't like chocolate ice cream..?" She asked slowly, her eyes widening a bit in surprise. Him, the sugar nut. Didn't like chocolate ice cream? For some reason she'd never noticed he didn't like it. "Vanilla and mint chocolate chip work too. As long as it's ice cream."

@magdalena <3 He laughed at her comment. The kiss on his cheek also made him smile, and he was glad she could do so. But he did wish her lips were on him again... Nikolai shook his head at her question for a reaction and he smirked, leaning forward over all of the books to kiss her firmly on the lips, biting her bottom one as he pulled back again.
"Well thank you for that, at least someone acknowledges my cooking!" Niko knew Irina enjoyed it but he also knew she would say Dan's was better. It somewhat hurt his feelings but he would never let her know that. An eyebrow rose at her shock of dislike of chocolate ice cream. "No, I don't. I also don't like coffee ice cream. They don't taste right." Nikolai stood up, grinning, and began boiling water on the stove. He didn't make his own pasta, but he did make his own sauce and it was currently in the fridge waiting to be heated up.

Magdalena wasn't surprised he leaned forward to firmly kiss her, this time on the lips. She grinned into it, immediately pressing against his lips to return the kiss. It was much to short, but she'd accept it for now. At least it was more of a reaction then that wide eyed look a few moments ago.
She made a face as he mentioned coffee ice cream. "I'll agree with you there. But chocolate? Chocolate is amazing." Was she even allowed to have coffee? She knew she wasn't allowed to have alcohol with the pregnancy. Hm. She should probably figure out this whole 'diet' thing sometime. Maybe there was something in one off the books.
As he hurried off into the kitchen, she was tempted to follow him, but caught a glance at the books. Well, she had just been thinking about them. She stared at the book for a moment, before shrugging and picking it up, starting to flip through it. "How is Irina and Dan doing anyway? Still emotionally scarred, or are they over it yet?" She asked, raising her voice so he'd hear her in the kitchen as she absentmindedly kept flipping through the pages of the book.

@magdalena <3 "Well yes, chocolate in general is amazing. But not chocolate ice cream, or dark chocolate, or chocolate cream filled things." If one was to say Nikolai was picky, well, then they'd be right. He was very particular in the things he eats and he won't change it for anyone. He'd been like that his whole life, unwilling to try anything new and sticking to his normal meals.
The water was boiling on the stove, so Nikolai grabbed the box of spaghetti out of the cabinet and rested it on the counter before throwing a dash of olive oil in the water pot. He opened up the fridge and grabbed the jars of his homemade sauce and turned on the stove where another pot rested, ready to heat it up. He heard Magdalena ask about Dan and Irina and he chuckled. "Yes, they are alright. Don't think Dan is quite over it, but I promised him we'd be abstinent while he's staying over."

Magdalena just gave him a look like he was crazy. No chocolate ice cream, dark chocolate, or chocolate cream. "... What about chocolate pudding?" She asked curiously.
She stopped her flipping for a moment when he said he'd promised them that she and Nikolai would be abstinent whenever Dan was saying over. Immediately she looked the the kitchen. She couldn't see him, but she hoped he could feel her looking his direction. "How often do you plan on that being? I say just tell him before hand, and him and Irina can go for a nice long walk." She wasn't nearly as sympathetic about it. Or more like she didn't see it as a problem. If he was out of range, they'd be fine. She glanced down at the book again, and froze. The page she'd turned to.... It was talking about some of the physical changes women's bodies went through when they were pregnant.
She didn't embarrass. Ever. But for some reason, her cheeks immediately flushed bright red. "My body is supposed to do WHAT!?" She didn't mean to cry out so loudly. Immediately she slammed the book shut. "Hell no!"

@magdalena <3 Nikolai scoffed, making a disgusted face. "Doesn't even matter if it's chocolate! Pudding is gross." He shook his head at her, shocked she'd even ask such a question. "You know I'm picky, Olli. That texture is horrid."
Twisting open the jar cover, he slowly poured in three of the saved sauces into the pan and set it on medium. He stirred it slowly, listening to Magdalena speaking in the background. It made him smile. He knew she didn't care much for Dan's empathy, but he did. And he didn't want that circumstance to ever happen again, whether Magi liked it or not. So unfortunately for her, he was keeping it in his pants whenever Dan was there. "Not sure how often, but there will be no 'nice long walks', darling. Nor will there be any nice long bedroom times." He did feel bad, but Nikolai was sure they'd be able to get it all out before Dan ever showed up.
The sound of a screech and slamming made him jump slightly, and he put the wooden spoon down on the stove and stalked over to the door frame to look at Magdalena. Her cheeks were...red? Nikolai tilted his head and narrowed his eyes at her, slowly looking down at the book. "What? What did you read?"

Magdalena just gaped. Yes, she did know he was picky, but all pudding? Really? "You're missing out on some of the simplest pleasures in life, Nikolai." She retorted, shaking her head in disbelief. She, unlike him, was not picky. At all. She didn't have that many issues with food. The big one, of course, was pancakes at the moment.
Nikolai obviously thought her response was amusing, but shot it down immediately. Rude. "Fine. Then we can camp out in the music sanctuary. Problem solved!" He'd only said no long walks and no 'bedroom time'. Didn't say anything about doing it other places.
Magi didn't embarrass. Ever. Nor was she shy. She was extremely comfortable and confident in her skin, and was completely shameless when it came to speaking her mind. But reading about how her body was going to change. About what these hormones were going to do. For a fleeting moment she felt... Was that insecurity? Self conscious? Oh god.... Magi set the book aside, and pressed her hands against her cheeks, trying to rub away the intense blush. "It's-" She stopped. Nothing? She couldn't pass it off as nothing, not after her outburst. "I'm going to become a wooly mammoth."
