“I…guess that’s true.” Cecelia said softly when Andy told her belonging somewhere was her own choice. She didn’t know if she wanted to belong in Gryffindor, where people didn’t like her, or want her. She disliked Slytherin, but at least there she would have never had to doubt that she was wanted. And right now, the pieces of Gryffindor that served her, that made the pain better, and not worse…it was just Grey. Grey and Andy, Cecelia amended, because she couldn’t imagine that anyone would sit with her in the middle of the night like this and give her this advice if they didn’t want her. “Thank you, Andy.” Cecelia whispered. “For the perspective.” That was hard to find sometimes.

Cecelia somewhat accepted the advice, and Andy was glad she was just listening. She could decide if she wanted to believe it later, that wasn't important. Then, she thanked her, and Andy gave her another squeeze, nodding. "Heaven only knows where I got it from. Just hope it helps," she said. She leaned back keeping Cecelia close to her. She felt her eyes starting to water a little and she bit down hard on her lip. Was this what big sisters felt like? Friends? Close ones? She didn't know this person she was becoming... this helpful, nice, wise person. But, either way, she liked it. She didn't say anything else, but would sit with Cecelia for as long as she wanted.
@cecelia (the end. snuggles and cuddles forever bai)

Cecelia offered Andy a weak smile when the other girl said that she didn’t know where she got her perspective from. One thing that Cecelia had learned, though, was that it was much easier to find the perspective you so desperately wanted when you were looking at someone else’s problems. Some people used helping others as an excuse not to help themselves. Cece wasn’t going to think ill of Andy for helping her, though, because doing so would just be mean-spirited. The night continued to swirl around the both of them, but sitting in the Gryffindor common room with Andy by her side, Cecelia didn’t see the darkness, because for once, she did not feel alone.
