"That's not true, Grey, and you know it." She shook her head with a small huff. Who would feel obligated to be in such a terrible group of friends? "It's common sense to not have to deal with people such as them, and if she's friends with them, family or not, she's just like them. She's not a nice girl, and you can do much better than that." Addi sighed. There was obviously no way to fix this. She'll have to go speak with his friends, probably Finn. He'd see how crazy Grey was being.

Her brother's reaction to her question of Daryl Thomas made her laugh out loud. He had looked so intently at her, that she saw a small flash of anger run through his eyes. It was too funny to her, but she quickly slapped a hand over her mouth to stop the laughter. "I think whether or not Daryl is going to the ball with anyone isn't the point, Grey. If I had an obsession with him, we both know you wouldn't like it."

Addi supposed there wasn't anything too wrong with it, but in the future there could be, if it all worked out. But, she decided to keep her mouth shut for now. Maybe he would have a change of heart, and liking. "Fine, Grey. Do as you please." Addilyn couldn't bring herself to tell him to not come running to her when it didn't work the way he wanted it to, because she wasn't that type of person and she'd always be there for her brother. "I just want you to know how I feel is all."

As far as he was concerned, Ondina Weasley was an angel being forced into the role of a demon. From what he had seen of her, which was still very minimal, she didn’t seem anywhere even remotely close to the girl that Addi was describing. His sister could have a point, but he didn’t want to listen to that right now. Grey knew his assumptions of Ondina were correct, because if they weren’t, then that meant she was screwing with him, Addi would be right, and he’d be heartbroken. Or something close to that. He wasn’t that emotionally invested in her. Yet. Plus as he had already said, she wasn’t the kind of person to mess around like that, and it she was, it had to do with her friends forcing her into it. Anything else didn’t make any sense at all. “That has a name. Maybe I can do better. Never tried, and not really up to doing that right now.” He snapped back. Apparently his comment about Daryl was funny too. He didn’t joke about the antics of Daryl Thomas. He supposed Addi didn’t really know anything about Daryl, at least not the same stories Grey had heard, the majority of which were rather unbecoming to be discussing with one’s younger sister. “You’re right, I wouldn’t. But that’s what I’m here to do right? Luckily I don’t mind Edmund.”

He could feel a small smile of victory form on his face as she said he could do as he pleased. Not that it really mattered, seeing as he was going to go to the ball with Ondina no matter the circumstances. That was already set in stone, regardless of how much Addi protested. “Well, I understand now. If it doesn’t work out, it doesn’t work out.” He said calmly. Grey perfectly understood what his sister was saying; and he was somewhat tired of snapping back. That wasn’t normal for him, and he didn’t want to make a habit out of it either. Glancing down at his watch, he tapped it a few times. “Class is waiting. I’ve missed enough this term. Thanks for voicing your concerns. I’ll keep them,” he pointed at his head, “up here.” Smiling at his sister, Grey turned and left the Great Hall. Was it really that weird that he liked Ondina Weasley?
