Figuring things out was Callistos favorite thing to do, but mostly because she liked when it was over and things were all in place. When Natalia explained why her sort of brother was in Brazil Callisto nodded, impressed. "Wow, that's great for him. Castelobruxo has a strong influence in the world of Herbology. He must be very good with plants to have been accepted," she said, her tone still impressed.
Natalia asked what work she could do during the ball. "Keep an eye on the refreshments, music and things. Make sure the refill spells don't go haywire, assess the international relations happening," she said with a short shrug, "it's my job to make sure international affairs go well," she added.

Nat nodded when Callisto said that Castelobruxo had a strong influence when it came to Herbology. “That’s what everyone tells me!” She replied enthusiastically. She wasn’t into Herbology at all, but with a family like the Longbottoms, it was impossible not to hear a little about the subject.
“That’s your job?” Natalia asked with raised eyebrows. “Don’t they have other people for that…?” People who weren’t attending the ball, or house elves, or anyone, really. She couldn’t imagine going to a party like that and focusing on anything other than making a good impression. Then again, maybe Callisto’s way of making a good impression didn’t involve getting dolled up and dancing. It was just…different. “Will the people from the delegations really be angry if there’s no punch left in the punch bowl?” That sounded a bit nitpicky to Natalia.

Callisto smiled a little wider at Natalias enthusiasm. "He takes after his father, Headmaster Longbottom, then?" of course Neville had been her Herbology teacher. He wasn't Headmaster back then, Burt Reynolds was. He was a great teacher and a good man as far as Callisto could tell.
Natalia questioned her explanation of her job and Callisto shrugged, "well, they have to have wizards and witches who charm the drink bowls and everything. Basically I'll just make sure that the spells keep working." She didn't really want to dance, anyway. Callisto chuckled politely when Natalia asked if they'd be angry without punch. "I don't think so, no, but I'm very... picky about things going perfectly," she admitted. "I'll just be keeping an eye on things. I'm glad to do it," she explained.

Natalia nodded. “I think that’s where Phil got his love of Herbology from, yes. But Alice – she’s his eldest – is a magizoologist, so it’s not like they’re forced into it or anything.” She said with a little shrug. Sometimes, when she let herself dream, Nat wondered what it would be like to actually grow up with parents like Hannah and Neville, instead of the ones she had. It would have been nice, to have choices with her life.
Callisto explained further, that she’d keep sure that the Charms were working, and Nat nodded again. The other woman said that she didn’t think anyone was so picky as to get angry about the level of punch in the bowl, but now that Natalia thought more about it, it didn’t seem so absurd. Her parents were the kind of people who would raise a fuss about that sort of thing. “Well, don’t forget to dance at least once.” Nat chastised. “If only to say you danced at the Yule Ball.” She added, in case Callisto thought Nat had any particular reason why she wanted the other woman to dance.

Callisto vaguely remembered Alice, vaguely. The girl seemed fairly... well, the way people described her as, actually. "Well, that is good," she said. It was always nice not to have parents who pressured you..., she was almost certain that Natalias blood parents had been that way, but she didn't want to ask about that.
At least once dance, Natalia suggested. "I'll consider it," she said. Then, after another moment, she took in a breath and straightened up, "all right then. Good luck with your paperwork. Hope I was helpful," she said, before continuing on her way. A part of her wanted to stay and visit but... Callisto was ready to move on with her work. Work always came first.
