Sometimes Adrian forgot that Jamie had been bitten by their father. Adrian had never seen or met their father. Aside from helping sire Adrian, the man hadn't so much as made a minute appearance in Adrian's 16 years. Adrian had been turned by someone else, someone trying to find his father. Jamie though.... Well, like stated. He'd forgotten. But he didn't know that her mother had 'let' Fenrir bite her. That sounded like a strange concept. But it did make Adrian remember something. "Oh." Was all he could say. Unlike Adrian, Jamie hated being a werewolf. Adrian on the other hand had no problem with it. It was a part of him and he wouldn't change that for the world. Sure, Adrian didn't go around telling everyone he was one. Only those close to him knew. But that didn't change his feelings. Obviously telling Jamie this would be a bad idea, and so keeping his mouth shut was the best way to avoid trouble.
Having Jamie tell him he should go (if he wanted too, of course) was surprising. Adrian's eyes widened just a bit at the comment. But after a moment he just slowly nodded. "Maybe. We're.... still sorting it out." Or more like he was waiting desperately for another letter from his mother, hoping that she changed her mind.

Oh. There wasn’t really much else to say, if Jamie was honest, but she couldn’t tell whether or not she was glad that her brother was making the whole biting incident such a non-issue. He had other things to worry about, though, so Jamie wasn’t concerned. If they needed to talk about it, then they could talk about it when things were a little less tumultuous in their lives – if that ever happened. Adrian said that he and his mother were still sorting things out, and Jamie nodded to that. “Whenever you know what’s happening… let me know?” Jamie asked her brother. She knew she would figure it out eventually, probably through the grapevine, but she’d rather know sooner rather than later if her brother was going to leave and turn her life on its head again. Until that point, though, she had exhausted all of her (somewhat limited) resources, so Jamie wasn’t sure what else to do.

Adrian didn't want to move. He didn't want to leave his home, Germany. Didn't want to leave Hogwarts. Didn't want to leave his friends. Didn't want to leave Lily.... Sure, he'd probably be fine in the United States. Years at Hogwarts had made him fluent in English, much more fluent then his mother. But he wouldn't be okay. He didn't like change, especially not on that scale. So, Jamie's request for him to let her know when he knew for sure was met by a slow nod. "I will." Regardless of the outcome. Either to tell her he was staying so he could stop worrying or to tell her goodbye. "Just... don't tell that old hag anything until we know for sure, okay?" He didn't need to specify who the 'old hag' was. There was only one person in Adrian and Jamie's life that Adrian would dare to call such a thing. Their older half sister, Odette. She and Adrian never got on. Neither of them was doing much to improve their relationship either though. So Adrian wasn't entirely to blame for his inability to get along with his eldest sister. Though you could fully blame him for his intentional and blatant disrespect. He was a bit of a idiot like that and one day his attitude would get him in a lot of trouble.
"I'll see you later though." He commented, his discomfort finally getting the better of him. Right now especially people just made him twitchy. Even the company of his friends (and yes, even family). He had so much going on that he just wanted space from everything. But hey, at least he'd lasted this long without running! His retreat from Jamie was quite casual despite his mood, but only because he didn't want anyone to realize just how panicked he was at the prospect of moving. In fact he was trying so desperately hard to be casual about leaving that he almost convinced himself that everything would work out...
