Spike smirked as she mentioned she was very good at magic and quickly, "Luv, I think back then you were still in Hogwarts." He was not sure how old Callisto was but he was pretty sure very early twenties. She sounded a bit arrogant in his opinion with her skills, "Maybe we should have a duel if you are that good?" It was more of a joke however he kept a straight face when he spoke so that she would think he was being serious. If she did accept then he would go for it and consider her stupid for accepting the challenge however would be impressed at the same time.
He watched her set down the sandwich when he mentioned poison, he could not believe how paranoid some people were whilst eating, "As if anyone would poison your sandwich. They would go after the bigger targets." He did not mean it as an offence, "I am a bigger target due to being ex-auror and Hogwarts staff, might as well paint a target on my head." He took another bite out of his to prove a point that the food was safe to eat, he felt like rolling his eyes at her reaction but thought it would not be worth it. He ignored the remark about being glad he was not coughing up blood now, that was just a poor response not worth his own.
Spike listened to the worst injury she had to heal and it was one of the students kidnapped. He remembered the hunt to for kidnapped students back in the Ministry, it was a horrible time especially with the own mess the Ministry was going through. Spike had heard about the spell before, it was a dark arts one he had read about however had never seen first hand. He did shudder when she mentioned it acted up again, "Well I am glad we got good healers then." It was indeed fascinating but he did not ever want to have that spell used on him. Whoever used it on the student deserved it used back on them, he did wonder if it was worse than a couple of the Unforgivable Curses.
Callisto did not seem to share much about her international job, "So what stuff here are you meant to be focusing on?" He asked curiously. He knew about the whole Tri-Wizard tournament.

Yes, she most likely was still in Hogwarts back in the day. He made a comment about having a duel and she scoffed, rolling her eyes. "Not all magic that one can be good at has to be combative. Sure, I'm decent at those too, but that isn't all magic is good for," she snapped. She didn't mean to be so rude, but she was always offended when people didn't validate other forms of magic first. Dueling was all the rage, and she didn't really care for it. She was good at elaborate things, sure, but she just didn't care for combat if she could help it. At least, not combat other than word wise.
He said that someone wouldn't poison her sandwich because they'd go after bigger targets and her eyebrow raised incredibly high at that. "Well, maybe we should paint a target. For continuities sake," she suggested. Sure, he probably was a bigger target but... well, it just reiterated what she already knew that no one really cared that she was around. She didn't dwell on it, since it didn't matter.
Callisto nodded, "the more advanced healers did a lot of the works, since those kids were so traumatized, and the aurors badly hurt. I was just glad I was able to do anything," she admitted, her tone slightly soft for a moment. He asked what she was supposed to be focusing on next. "Decorating, mostly, getting the stand set up and the table and whatnot. Bringing the food in. Well, we're doing that in the morning so I'll be back down here," she explained.
