a day off. he was getting more of them now the season had finished and he was able to take more shifts off from the hospital. it was nearing christmas time so he wanted to be able to spend time with the people that mattered to him most and that was his family. and ophie, she was working at that moment though so he couldn't have her in his arms or by his side where he had gotten used to her being over the last while. it was interesting how much her falling pregnant had changed things. if you'd have asked him six months ago if he thought a baby would change the way he felt about ophie he'd have said no. because he hadn't known. now he knew, he wanted her in his sight almost all the time, he wanted his arms around her more than he had ever in his life. he had yet to tell her how his feelings had changed. he didn't want to send her running if he told her he was getting more attached. he didn't want her to think it was just the baby. it had been the start of it but it was different now .. he just didn't know how to tell her that. though today was about his sisters. his two younger oldest sisters. he'd invited them over for lunch, to touch base with them and find out how they were. their last conversation hadn't gone the way he'd hoped so he was crossing his fingers this one was better. he had told them about the baby last time and so long as he didn't share anymore news with them he was sure mina would be okay. he laid out the food on the table in the dining room and glanced to the two dog beds in the kitchen where he had sent hawk and darsha a few moments before. they were watching him intently through the arch in the wall. he chuckled and turned back to the table so he could keep arranging things while he waited.

@callisto & @dakota Round two of a possible baby debacle. At least Mina hoped it wouldn’t be that. She wasn’t exactly thrilled upon hearing it the first time, that much had been made clear. After finding out, the rest of the conversation amongst the family had been tuned out by her, figuring that if she didn’t hear it, it didn’t affect her, and therefore didn’t exist. Obviously it did and she would have to confront the fact that her oldest sibling, her Koda, was going to be a father. Mina knew that was going to happen eventually, but not this soon. The suddenness of it all was too much to take in, so she preferred not to talk about it. Callisto apparently understood that too, since it hadn’t really been a topic of conversation while at home. Mina wasn’t sure what her sister was thinking about all of it, and as far as she cared, she wasn’t going to find out either. Callisto had too much going on with the tournament anyways, so Mina had made the executive decision to not poke the beast in her sister any more than was necessary.
Koda’s house wasn’t too much further, her and Callisto had made it there in good time. Her usual route to her brother’s townhouse included a much longer walk since Titania always accompanied her. Not today though, since her dog had already had two large walks that morning and had crashed on Mina’s bed. That had become a common theme lately, not that she minded having the giant ball of white fur laying on top of her at all hours of the night. It just made it hard to wake up the next morning, which was difficult enough after a long night out. “You don’t think she’s going to be there, do you?” Mina turned to Callisto as they stepped onto the last street corner before Koda’s house. She meaning the woman pregnant with his child. He hadn’t said anything about her being there today, but it seemed like something he would do, knowing Mina wouldn’t show up if she was going to be there. Mina had a feeling she knew which girl it was too, but she had purposefully blocked all of it out, refusing to acknowledge any of it.

Christmas with the family, what good times. Callisto loved her siblings and was happy to spend time with them, even if Sarah and Mina were a bit hard to swallow. Well, Dakota too. She should be preparing for the ball at Hogwarts, but she wanted to see her siblings. Her boss all but forced her to take a break, anyway. She was wondering if Sarah would even show when Mina asked about someone. It took her a moment to figure out who she meant. Oh, Kodas girlfriend type thing. Callisto rolled her eyes, linking her arm through Minas. "Calm down, Mina," she said firmly, "it's not your business. Even if she's some kind of baby wanting crazy person," she said. She hadn't meant Ophelia yet, but she was incredibly apprehensive about people as.... 'free loving' as her brother.
Then finally reached the house and Callisto knocked, even though they probably didn't have to. They opened the door right after knocking, though, and stepped inside. "Koda? We're here," she called, leading the suspicious looking Mina into the house.

"Koda? We're here," he lifted his head at the sound of the click in the door, his dogs reacting at the same time he did. he'd taught them to stay, really he had but one wouldn't know it the way they rushed toward the door. he made his way after them, catching at least one collar so his sisters would have more chance to fend off one dog. it was lucky that it was hawk he had managed to grab hold of, his husky would more than likely try to knock his sisters over before they even made their way into his house, lucky darsha, was a little more quiet bless her heart. he rubbed his hand over hawk's side as he felt the dogs body quiver with excitment at the prospect of new people to play with but he kept a firm hold of his dog till the door closed behind his sisters before letting him go. "watch out, he's a little excited" he said as he tried to step around the now barking husky and grinned a little. "would you believe he's been trained?" it had been like trying to train a brick wall but it didn't matter. koda loved the dog no matter how crazy he acted.

Mina tried to hold back the snort that escaped from her as Callisto called the girl a “baby wanting crazy person”. She probably wasn’t wrong there. Koda seemed to attract the crazies, or at least more enthusiastic groupies. Luckily Mina controlled the out pouring of their admiration, having complete and utter control of his fan club after all. If she hadn’t, her brother having a child probably would have already happened. It was difficult keeping up with it while she was abroad, so she had that to blame for the situation that had transpired. More vigilance would have kept the Koda-crazies away. “That’s ninety-percent of his team’s fan base.” Mina muttered as they walked up the steps to the door. “I mean, look at him. No wonder one got through…”
Callisto knocked on the door before opening to call out for their brother. She probably did that because she knew Mina would barge right in. They were family after all, who cared? There hadn’t been too much privacy with them all growing up, so coming and going from each other’s houses didn’t seem too weird. They stepped inside and Mina was immediately met with Darsha’s front paws on her. Grabbing hold of them, she danced around the dog before placing her down on the floor again. As Mina attempted to strip her jacket off though, Hawk was right behind, having been cut loose by Dakoda. They were probably looking to see if her dog was with them, seeing as she had been bringing the white fluffball over the last few times she had visited. “Sorry. No other friends today.” She said, patting Hawk’s head. “It’s okay Koda. Callisto says the same thing about me sometimes too. Usually when she’s apologizing to someone.” Mina shrugged, tossing her jacket onto a coat rack next to the door. “Just us today?” She inquired, looking back at Callisto before returning her gaze to their brother.

Callisto rolled her eyes and Mina said that his entire fan base was girls wanting babies. Then she said it wasn't a wonder one got through, "she must be a knock out, then," Callisto guessed. She knew Mina had a high opinion of her brother and would only want the best for him, not that her version of 'the best' was logical. Callisto knew Mina would never be satisfied.
Once inside, he heard Kodas voice and rolled her eyes as the dog started to get excited. She stepped behind Mina, trying to seem casual about it, so the dog wouldn't touch her. She didn't mind dogs, but she wasn't really in the mood. As Mina said that Callisto sometimes said SHE was trained, Cal laughed and reached up to pat her sister on the head, "gooood Mina," she joked.
Then Mina asked if it was just them today and Callisto gave her a look. She knew who she could have been referring to. Sarah. Callisto would have loved to have seen Sebastian, of course, even if it meant seeing Sarah. Okay, okay, she loved Sarah too. They just didn't get along the best.

“It’s okay Koda. Callisto says the same thing about me sometimes too. Usually when she’s apologizing to someone. gooood Mina," he laughed at the banter between his sisters and he nodded slightly. he knew his little sister was a bit wild at times but he loved her for it, there was too much straight lace in the world. mina was the nice slice of interesting that often came around at the best time. "if you need some callie, i have no shortage of treats" he said with a laugh and a wink at her before he looked at mina. “Just us today?” he nodded slightly, knowing in that moment that she meant ophie. he'd heard about their meeting. "well i did invite sarah .. but ophelia won't be here. well not till later if she's coming" he said as he rubbed the back of his neck. she was working and as much as he wanted to go pay her a visit and find out how she was doing he'd spend the time with his sisters first. he hoped sarah turned up and she brought sebastian with her. he missed his nephew with he was away with his mother and while he worried sarah had done a good enough job of keeping him alive and happy enough so he didn't feel the need to make anything of it. "so, do you two want a drink? and yes i have alcohol mina" he said as he nudged her shoulder with a smile.

Mina gave a cheesy grin up at her sister as she had her head patted. The scary thing was, there had definitely been points in time where Callisto had been forced to apologize for Mina’s…idiotic antics, to put it lightly. It hadn’t really happened since she had been in school, other than a few instances where she got in scuffles with muggles, but outside of that she had learned how to kind of adult. The same couldn’t be said about her travels abroad, but what her siblings didn’t know didn’t hurt them. She was game to tell them all about her adventures, omitting the details that would cause dizziness from eye rolling. The last thing she needed was to be put on house arrest back home with their parents. The threat of that ceased all stupidity on her end. Luckily she had remained tame since her return to London. “Crackers? Or are we talking actual dog treats? Because I’ll eat those if someone,” She looked up at her sister. “Hasn’t gone shopping in a while.” Mina could easily do the shopping herself, but she was pretty sure neither of them wanted to see the results of what she would bring back. The bags would mainly consist of crackers, microwavable pizzas, and alcohol. Lots of it too.
So Koda was unsure if Sarah was going to show up, and Ophelia definitely wasn’t going to be there. Unless she decided to stop by later. Mina could feel her face go from excitement to disappointment in a matter of seconds. She tried to hide the fast changing emotions by burying her face further into Hawk’s fur, whom she had grabbed onto in the mad scramble with Koda’s dogs. Alcohol was enticing, but she didn’t really like getting started too early, especially if there were serious matters to discuss. Which there were. Except she didn’t want to be the one to bring them up first. That was Callisto’s job after all, seeing as she was the more responsible one. “Mmmm no thanks. Water? Need to get ready for later.” She sent a small smirk her sister’s way, hoping there would be some type of response back.

Callie. No one else called her that, except occasionally her other siblings. If anyone else tried she'd pummel them, but Koda was allowed because he was her big brother and she loved him. She wrinkled her nose at him, "ha. ha." Then she turned back to Mina, "I've been busy. Find your own food," she said with a bored drawl.
He said he did invite Sarah, and Cal tensed. She gave a firm nod and didn't speak on the Sarah subject. "I hope Ophelia does make it," she said, tossing a 'be nice' glance at Mina.
At the offer of drinks, Callisto glared at her sisters comment, but her lips were smirking. She turned back to Koda, her gaze intense, "red wine?" she asked. Callisto did love her wine, just not for the same reasons Mina did.

"I hope Ophelia does make it," he was glad at least one of his sisters seemed to be okay with him and ophelia. he knew mina would come around eventually but it was a little disheartening to see her oppose something that was making him happy. still he knew he had to be patient and just wait. "i'm keeping fingers crossed. i'm sure she'd love to see you two" she said as he turned to mina and smiled when he saw her head buried in hawks fur. he was lucky he had dogs that were patient, he himself had spent a fair bit of time talking to his dogs and using them as pillows when he felt down before and after a full moon. "are you going to let my dog breath at some point?" he teased her before he asked them about the alcohol. “Mmmm no thanks. Water? Need to get ready for later.” he clasped his hands over his heart jokingly and he staggered back a step, a faux look of shock on his face as the dramatics set the two dogs barking excitedly. "i think you've just given me a heart attack ... you don't want to drink?" he said with a laugh. honestly it was a good thing. he worried about her and the way she drank but their worries often fell upon deaf ears. mina was mina and she would do what she wanted. "red wine?" he dropped his hands from his chest and nodded as he moved to grab a bottle from the cabinet and two glasses down. "red wine i have" he said as he took the cork out carefully, pouring two glasses out and he held one to callisto. "so where are you off too tonight mina?"

@callisto & @dakota Callisto was on her case. She knew that if Ophelia showed up, there was a chance that Mina would let loose and say something stupid. Her sister should know better. There was always a chance that Mina was going to say or do something stupid. It was in her nature. She didn’t really care that it happened either. What exactly was wrong with voicing her opinion on something? Sure, she wasn’t too happy about Koda having a child with Ophelia, but she knew when and when not to say things in front of people. If she was going to say something, she would make sure that both of her siblings could hear it. As of right now, it seemed like Callisto was trying to get on her nerves. Asking for wine, hoping for Ophelia to show up, and even telling Mina to get her own food. Callisto knew that Mina would purposely starve herself to make a point right? Nothing serious, just that she wouldn’t eat at home at all simply because she didn’t want to go shopping.
Koda finally addressed her with something along the lines of letting the dog breathe. Mina contemplated it for a second, which was long enough for Hawk to wiggle around and lick her face a few times. She only caught the end of Koda placing his hand over his heart as he stated that her not wanting to drink was a shock. Why did all her siblings make it sound like she was an alcoholic? She was perfectly functioning without it. “Probably going somewhere that would make Callie here,” Mina shot a glare at her sister, purposely using the nickname she hated, “faint from the mere sight of the things I would be doing.” If she was going to be honest, she probably wasn’t going anywhere that night, especially if Ophelia showed up. That would be a huge turn off and send her reeling back home where she’d spend the rest of the night trying not to be pissed off at all of this. Most would turn to alcohol in that situation, but getting drunk when she was upset led to things that were even worse, like regrets, and she wasn’t in the mood for that either. Regrets never knew when to shut up and go away either.

Callisto or, Callie, just wanted her red wine so she didn't have to focus anymore. She loved her siblings, of course, but the worry that Sarah could come in any minute was making her nervous. She loved her too, but it was a...strained relationship. She stepped forward as her brother offered her wine and took the glance, leaning over to kiss his cheek before leaning back to take a sip. Awe, perfect.
Then, she rolled her eyes as Mina said she'd go somewhere that would make Cal faint from the sight. "Hence why I'll be at the dinner table, with my eyes closed," she said, pushing off the counter and into the dining room. She sat there and enjoyed her glass, and wasn't incredibly talkative for the majority of the night.
