hello there, my name is Roman Rorea Williams but you can call me Rory. i'm 27 so that makes me an alumni at Hogwarts, where I resided in Hufflepuff house. You could say I'm hardworking, patient and loyal but I personally think that I am trustworthy, dependable and honest. People say I look a lot like Arthur Darvill, but I don't really see it...

Rory looks very much like his pb. He is 5’11” tall, but not a very imposing figure. While he tends to have a more serious aura about him, Rory smiles often and is very easygoing. He likes to keep his hair fairly short, but long enough that he can still do things with it. Being a muggleborn, Rory prefers muggle clothing over wizard robes, though he wears what is required when he is working, of course. He likes to wear jeans and has an affinity for what he thinks are “cool” jackets. Rory definitely chooses comfort over style. Sometimes he wears his glasses, but that's generally just when he's studying something.

overall personality:
Rory is basically your classic Hufflepuff. He values friendship and loyalty over many other qualities. He can be a little awkward at first when he meets someone, but once you become his friend he will do anything for you. Rory is honest in what he says and does, often being very blunt about his thoughts and opinions, especially when giving them to people that he cares about. He always is searching for ways to help those around him. However, if you do anything to hard (physically or emotionally) one of his friends, he will not forget about it and he likely will not forgive you for it. While he is normally an easygoing individual, if you cross him you will likely regret it because he does not go easy on those whom he believes are in the wrong.
Rory is very trustworthy and dependable. He does what he says he is going to do and he is always there for his friends. Sometimes he feels like he may be there too much, but he has a thing about wanting to make sure that those who are close to him are well. If they are struggling, he is a very good listener and also gives surprisingly good advice. He is good at keeping secrets for others (as well as for himself, but he avoids that whenever possible).
He likes to have fun. While Rory is not the most adventurous of people, when put with friends that like to do more adventurous things, he tends to rise to the occasion. He is very logical in thinking of ways to be safe while having fun and can often be a voice of reason, which sometimes annoys those around him, but is also a good quality because it means he doesn’t have to go all “Mediwizard” on them when things go wrong.

personal history
mother:
Julia Williams, deceased at age 35 (when Rory was 7)
father:
Brian Williams, 58, Gardener/Landscape Artist
siblings:
none
pets:
Barred Owl named Cesar
history:
There was nothing particularly noteworthy about Rory’s early childhood. He was the only child of Julia and Brian Williams and the apple of his parents’ eyes. His mother, loving history, had decided to name him Roman Rorea, but when his father started calling him Rory as a young child it stuck and he was never called anything else. His earliest memories are of picnics with his parents, along with drives around the countryside of England, where his father would point out landscape beauties while his mother would tell stories of English history. Rory would often fall asleep on these drives, listening to his parents’ voices.
It was when Rory was 7 that tragedy struck the Williams household. One Saturday, after a picnic with one another, the family was taking a walk when Julia Williams stepped on an Adder. The poisonous snake bit her, and though her husband rushed her to the nearest hospital, the bite ended up being fatal and she passed away the early the next morning. The next few months were all a bit of a blur to Rory. He understood that his mother was gone, but the message didn’t really sink in. He still called out for his mother in the night when he had a bad dream, still looked for her when his father took him out.
For that reason, Brian Williams decided to move to Scotland shortly after his wife passed away. This was good for Rory, as it was a change of everything. It was a new place where he’d never seen his mother. Besides that, shortly after their move, Rory met a girl who lived next door and the two became quick friends. Over the next few years, Rory grew incredibly close with the girl, but when he was 10 she moved away to America with her family. It was very hard for Rory, but they wrote one another emails constantly.
The next year Rory and his father received a visit from a person who said they were from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. That was when Rory found out that he was a wizard. He was invited to go to the school and both he and his father were excited at the opportunity. For the first time, Rory was glad that his friend moved to America. If she was in Scotland with him it would have been much harder to lie about what happened. (since apparently there was a rule that he couldn’t tell a “muggle” that he was a wizard)
Rory was sorted into Hufflepuff and did very well at school. He wasn’t the top of his class, by any means, but he loved studying magic. It was different than anything he’d learned previously in grade school and he thrived learning about new things. Even more than that, Rory found he was pretty good at making friends. He was very open to those around him and, while not outgoing, made quite a few close friends at school. None of them compared to his friend from Scotland- who he now wrote letters to, telling her there were no computers at his boarding school. However, every summer she came back to Scotland for a short while and Rory loved the chance to see his dear friend.
After seven years, Rory graduated from Hogwarts and went into his preferred field immediately- healing. Rory studied hard, determined to become a Mediwizard so that he could help anyone he could. He often volunteered at places that couldn’t afford lots of help, like orphanages, and did what he could to help people. His father was very proud of his achievements.
Over the past year, Rory realized the division in the magical world more than ever before. The attacks at Hogwarts and King’s Cross Station left him feeling sick to his stomach and grateful for his choice in work. He was one of the first on the scene at King’s Cross and was always searching for ways to help others. He wished there didn’t have to be this kind of hatred, but realized that all he could do to try and fight against it was by doing his job and helping those who needed it.
