Dec. 2017
Natalia said the offer was still standing, and Andy nodded. She didn't say how grateful she was for that offer... she didn't feel comfortable saying that. Then Natalia smiled a little, and Andy's mouth froze into a line, scared of smiling back at first. Natalia said that she would rather not be upstaged that way, that a positive approach might be better. "I... guess you're right," she said. She was sure that it would be better to be 'positive' but her parents style of that word wasn't necessarily what Andy wanted.
"I think being preferred suits you. You carry it better then I could," Andy added, giving a small nod. It was a compliment, really.

december 2017 Andromeda said that she supposed that she was right, and the Ravenclaw smirked. “Of course I’m right.” She said. Natalia took pride in the fact that she was never wrong. And when she was wrong, it was for a perfectly good reason – not because the other person had a better argument, ever. She was a Lestrange, and Lestranges were never wrong. Then again, Lestranges weren’t supposed to be Gryffindors, either, so maybe Natalia ought to stop talking about her success and failures in terms of her surname, just in case they could be proven wrong as easily as Andromeda had proven the anti-Gryffindor decree wrong. Andromeda said that being preferred suited Natalia, and she flipped her hair over her shoulders, not even bothering to deny it. “Perhaps if you tried, it could suit you too.” Natalia said. Andromeda had never made enough effort to please their parents, as far as Natalia was concerned. Then again, now was not the best time to begin kissing up, so that transgression could be forgiven. Why she was so forgiving of Andromeda that night, Natalia didn’t know, but if her sister every tried to tell her she had done nothing for her, that was going to be Nat’s answer.

september 2022 Dead. There had been a girl found dead on the train, and gossip was spreading through the school like wildfire. It appeared that, in this particular wildfire, Natalia was going to be the one to be burned, because as far as she could tell, the entirety of the school now thought she was a murderer. She ought not to be worried, Natalia knew – at least she knew she wasn’t a murderer, and her opinion was the only one that mattered – but it was still uncomfortable, to be thought of as a monster. She was standing in one of the corridors, simply minding her own business, when someone shoved her against the wall. When Natalia regained her footing, a gaggle of boys hissed at her before moving on their way. Natalia rubbed her shoulder, which had taken the brunt of the force, but refused to do something as stupid as shout at them. She could bear this burden, and she could bear it alone. She was innocent. She was innocent. And for now, that was all she could hold onto.

Sept. 2022
Andy was horrified by the death of that girl, of course, but what was worse was the way she and her sister were being treated. It was worse for Natalia, by far, but Andy still got a brunt of it. She started to get... angry, fuming as people talked about Natalia behind her back. Andy was walking down the hall, carrying some of that anger when, up ahead, she saw someone shove her sister into the wall. She rushed forward, wand in hand, growling under her breath, which was probably the most unladylike thing she had ever done. But the guys were already turning the corner and she stopped in front of Nat. She didn't turn to look at her sister as she spoke. "You all right?" her voice was low, maybe even frighteningly so.

september 2022 Natalia hadn’t realized that anyone had been a witness to her being shoved, and if anything, that made the whole thing worse. Added insult to injury and all of that. And of course, of all people, it was Andromeda that had to see her being pushed around. Nat didn’t know how she was supposed to feel about that, especially because Andy sounded…frightening, really, with the way she was speaking. She was the one who had always put herself on the line for Andy, albeit in small ways and mostly for her own gain. Having Andy do something for her, even ask her if she was alright, was strange. “I’m fine. It’ll just be a bruise, if that.” She could handle bruises easily, at least. It was the words that annoyed her more, and it was the words that Andy couldn’t fix, unless she wanted to jinx the entire school to keep their mouths shut.
