Maria was just an angry person. Her reaction to most situations was, of course, anger. It was just the way she was. Even in situations like this where she was trying to be helpful, the anger would sometimes come out. It wasn't appropriate, she knew that. But she just... couldn't stop it. Maria was a creature of raw, uncontrolled passion, in all emotions and aspects of her life. Elias had turned away during her outburst of anger. Taking a deep breath, she ran her fingers through her hair. Shew knew all that. That Elias wasn't as confident as her, and that he had problems with his self esteem. Quickly she moved towards him, his back still to her, and slipped her arms around his waist to embrace him from behind. "How can you not be okay with yourself when you won't be honest with yourself?" She asked softly. If Elias was like her, if he was interested in both men and women he wasn't being his true self.
As he continued, saying what if the boy liked him, and that Elias didn't want to hurt the guy, Maria sighed. "That's dating though." She explained. Finding out what you liked, who you wanted to be with, hell just having fun. Maria pulled her arms away from him and stepped around so she could meet her cousin's eyes, having to tilt her head back to maintain eye contact this close. She reached up and placed her palms against his cheeks and gave him a firm look. "How about rather than worry about what to do, just be you."

@maria <3 Elias expected her to come over to him. And she did. Her arms wrapped around his waist, and Elias let his hands rest on her arms. He was still upset with her, but he knew she was just trying to help him, trying to understand and care. "I'm trying to be honest with myself Maria. But I'm just scared." Who knows what would happen to him? What if he was like Maria? It wouldn't be a bad thing...at least in his mind.
"I've never been on a date, Maria, or dated. Should I ask him on a date?" His eyes widened. How does one even do that? Ugh, this was embarrassing. Thankfully, Maria had much more experience than he, even if she wasn't a dater either. She then let go of him and was in front of him, grasping the sides of his face. Eyes wide, he looked at her and smiled at the expression on her face. "I...can try to do that."

Scared. Maria knew that emotion well. "I know." She softly answered. She'd been there. Trying to accept who she was, but having to worry about what others would think or do. Maria lived with their tradition grandparents after all! If they knew even half of Maria's antics she knew there'd be hell to pay. It was when she realized that their opinions didn't matter to her that she finally stopped worrying.
If she'd been in the position to, she would have shrugged at his question. As it was, she couldn't. "And you're never going to go on any with that attitude. Yes, you should ask him." she scolded, though her voice softed as she finally answered the question. Yeah, rejection was never fun, and Elias would take it hard, but he had to at least try. But really, who would say no to Elias?
Try. Maria scowled as he said that word and smiled down at her. Immediately she lightly pinched both his cheeks. It wasn't hard, just enough to get his attention. "No, you will." She corrected sternly as she released his cheeks and dropped her hands to rest on her hips. "Now do I get to hear about this boy you're interested in?" Being the.... protective (possessive) person she was, it was slowly driving her crazy not knowing who it was that Elias was wanting to pursue. Especially after this conversation! As the saying went, curiosity killed the cat and satisfaction brought it back. He better give her something to satisfy her curiosity.

@maria <3 Maria was such a wonderful cousin. Elias appreciated everything she had ever done for him...except ruin his relationship with one of his sisters. But he had forgiven her, and knew her heart was in a good place. And while she could do crazy, insane things, he did love her and all her personalities. "Fine. I will ask him. And I will let you know after. I'll send an owl if I don't see you."
His eyes widened as she squeezed his cheeks and he glared at her. She questioned about the boy he was interested in, and he smiled as he thought of Fred and those eyes. "Well...all I will tell you is it's Fred Weasley." His eyes lowered. "And don't tell anyone, Maria. I know you can find out who he is, or guess, but you won't be meeting him until after anything happens. IF it happens." He held up a finger towards her, his serious expression then turning happy. "I will see you soon, Maria." Elias leaned forward and kissed her cheek, waving as he left the Greenhouses.
