If he ever came close to figuring out who it was that was behind the gossip paper, it was going to be an all-out witch hunt. Pun intended. Maybe he’d even go as far as to call it that as he tracked his progression through stories. The irony if the writer turned out to be male would be that much better. Grey found it hard to believe that a male student could be this vicious and secretive though, but he had been surprised before. If that ended up being the case in the end, all the better. The whole situation was bizarre to begin with; articles appeared out of thin air (though he knew of quite a few spells capable of that), and they were always focused on people and events that actually happened. “Hopefully bring them down,” he said, frowning slightly. It was a pipe dream, but there was always the possibility that the newspaper took it down before the student running it graduated.
Grey knew that he was going to have to get used to different accents someday, especially if he decided to follow through with journalism instead of being an auror. The latter still had more importance over the former, but every time he produced a quality article, he was reminded that joining a newspaper, a real one at that, would be an extremely easy feat for him to pull off. He accompanied Olivia’s laugh about sleeping in his own bed instead of elsewhere. “Yeah, that’s never going to actually happen. Too many good spots out there.” Re-shuffling the papers that they had just gone through, Grey tapped them a few times on the table to straighten them out. “We’ll go over these again in the meeting later, but I want to start prepping them for final edits and then prints for the next issue,” he said as he handed them over to Olivia before standing up from the table. “They better not pitch a fit over the ones we picked too,” he added with a roll of his eyes as he waved at Olivia before leaving the Great Hall.[Grey End]
