Logan was bored. Which wasn't a good thing for him. When he got bored, he had a tendency to do stupid things. Well, not the sort of stupid that would get him into any real trouble, but he did tend to not think as much when he was bored. So he was looking for something to do. Maybe find someone who would talk to him about something, make things interesting enough that Logan didn't feel like he needed to go out and make some problems somewhere. He walked into Club Indigo, looking to see if any of his friends were there. It only took him a second to recognize a friend. Aerick. Logan sauntered over to the bar, a sly smile on his face. "Hey bartender. How's the crowd tonight?" Of course, they couldn't talk about anything really interesting here, but Logan had confidence in Aerick's ability to make things at least a little entertaining for him.

It was another typical night at Club Indigo; the crowds were filled with desperate girls and eager men wanting to please them. Aerick just watched, ensuring that no physical fights would break out. Sometimes he wished he could enforce the 'No Fighting' policy by transforming into his Animagus form and squeezing them into their senses, but alas Muggles were in there too. He wrinkled his nose at the thought; there were ways to tell who had magical blood and who did not, but Aerick usually just stayed away from everyone. The Wulfe girl, Sarah had been an exception, but Elaine found the werewolf to be a most useful ally. Plus, that had been a lot of fun. And then there was Clodagh; the nervous and awkward girl he'd run into a few times. He didn't know what it was, but there was just something about her that always left him wanting more. Aerick was admittedly lost in thought about the beautiful brunette when he noticed in time a familiar face grinning slyly at him. "Logan," he greeted, returning the smile. He set a glass in front of him and poured out a drink. "Not bad, if you're looking for some cheap and easy fun there's a stag party in the back over there. Only one's wearing a ring and she's the bride to be," he told him, gesturing towards a gaggle of girls surrounding one wearing white and a tiara. He had no idea why a stag party would be held at Club Indigo, but to each their own he supposed. @logan

Logan nodded when his friend noticed him, sitting down at the bar. "Aerick," he answered back. He laughed at Aerick's comment about the stag party and glanced over, surprised when he saw quite a few attractive girls over there. That might be worth investigating ... later. He had plenty of time; those girls obviously weren't going anywhere. "Good to know. I'll have to head over there in a bit. Not quite ready yet though. How've you been? It's been a while ..." Not too long, of course. Logan came here often to check in with Aerick, see if there was anything interesting going on, but he was bored now and needed something to distract himself with.

Aerick chuckled as Logan said he’d head over there in a little bit. He’d have an easy time; he could already see some of the girls celebrating the main ones’ impending nuptials eyeing both himself and Logan like pieces of meat waiting to be devoured. Soon they’d devour more shots and grow more sloppy and stop caring who notices them, which worked for Aerick at least. Hen parties weren’t really his cup of tea, but he supposed business was business.
“Our lady has been rather busy with...let’s say a sort of test for one of her less secure followers. I’m sure once the wheels are set in motion you’ll see the reactions at the Ministry,” Aerick said, choosing his words carefully. The plan involved someone in the Obliviators department, and while that was not Logans’ specific department, news traveled fast. Even if the Minister wanted to hush it all up, anyone on the right side of this battle would know soon enough what was going on. “Anything to report on your end? How's that sister of yours?” he then asked quietly.

Logan listened closely as Aerick started talking. This was more what he wanted to hear. He didn't care what the girls in the corner were doing. He smiled, "Sounds interesting ... and like fun. I can't wait to see what happens," he commented casually as he gave a cursory glance around the room. Anyone watching would think that he and Aerick were talking about other people in the room. Ha! He shook his head, "No, I'm supposed to be meeting with our lady soon about ... something, but I don't have anything to report at the moment. My sister is helping me out investigating, but she doesn't know why and she's not asking questions either. She likes having something to do."

Aerick chuckled mirthlessly as Logan indicated he couldn’t wait to see how it turned out. Personally the follower who Aerick had a feeling was being tested was not a favorite of his, so whatever happened to them, he didn’t really care either way. It wasn’t him, and it wasn’t Logan and at this point in time that was what mattered. “From what I’ve been made privy to, it should be rather...heartbreaking, shall we say?” he told Logan with a smirk. Heartbreaking, heart-shattering, it’d certainly be painful for this particular followers heart.
“Really? She hasn’t been asking questions?” Aerick asked with just the slightest tone of surprise in his voice. From what he knew, Logans’ sister Emily was a Ravenclaw, and according to his English associates Ravenclaw was the ‘smart house’, always inquisitive. All for the best though that Emily wasn’t asking questions; Aerick would actually feel bad for Logan if Elaine got wind that his sister was asking the wrong sort of questions. “Can I get you another?” he asked, nodding at Logans’ near emptying drink.

Logan grinned wickedly. He didn't know why, but he felt extremely comfortable with Aerick. Most people didn't get to see this side of Logan. Other than Elise and a few choice people, Logan was the perfectly preppy, outgoing type who was always trying to make people laugh. Little did they know the real him. "Sounds fun,"he commented lightly.
He shrugged at Aerick's next question. "No more than usual. She doesn't seem to care why I'm asking her to investigate these people. I think at the moment she's simply looking at it as a challenge to investigate them without them or anyone else finding out about it. Eventually I'm sure she'll ask questions, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it." He nodded when Aerick asked if he wanted another drink. "Sure. Anything else interesting going on here?"

Aerick smirked. "Oh, the best kind of fun," he said wickedly. The person in question Aerick had never really liked; loyalties were too easily swayed in his personal opinion. But if what he knew was only part of the master plan Elaine had up her sleeve, then there would be only two outcomes; loyalty or death. It was the way it was with Elaine, very black and white. Lately though shades of grey had been filling in, especially since Desirae's death. The once emboldened and cat-like woman was careful, creating a sense of uneasy settling in the Ministrys' stomach. They simply had no idea what was coming and when. Elaine had kept her master plan from everyone, even Aerick. Different Purifiers were privy to different things, but when the Dark Lady was ready, she'd surprise the whole world. "Not much, I heard there's going to be a dinner next weekend that you're invited to," he said casually, a smirk creeping back onto his lips. "You'll just have to tell us all about it," he said, chuckling once before pouring Logan another drink. "Aside from the usual drunks, not much is going on. There's a new girl dancer that's a sight to see but sadly she's off tonight," he told him, eyeing the stage. Sarah had been working at Club Indigo for a month or so now, and Aerick would be lying if he said he didn't enjoy her craft.

It was nice to have a friend in Aerick. Someone that Logan could go to just to talk, that understood the real him. So many of his "friends" didn't know the real Logan. They thought he was just some happy, outgoing guy that couldn't hurt a fly. How wrong they were, and that was part of the fun for him. Putting on a show that few people really understood. He smiled when Aerick mentioned the dinner. "There is," he said, nodding slowly. "I'm quite interested to see how everything plays out," he admitted. He didn't know what Elaine was planning on doing exactly, but she knew him well and if she thought he'd want to be there, Logan was sure he'd enjoy it. "Don't worry, I'm sure you'll find out soon enough." He shrugged when Aerick started talking about the club, answering his question. He hadn't come for entertainment tonight, just to talk to his friend, so he didn't mind that the girl wasn't there. "Some other time then," he answered, looking at the people around him slowly, observing them.

Aerick snickered slightly as Logan assured him he’d find out what happened later on. If Elaine wanted him to know about how this particular dinner went, he knew he’d find out soon enough. It was the way things worked with the Purifiers; Elaine controlled everything everyone knew. Nobody knew too much but nobody really felt they were out of the lurch. Well, perhaps some of the younger followers did, but Aerick never really paid them that much mind. Not all of them could be Elaine and ditch school two months prior to graduation after successfully pulling off a kidnapping scheme. Elaine wanted her school-aged followers right where they were anyway; they’d be of less use to her if they were expelled. He smirked a little at that thought, thinking of Sarah again. He’d found out of course she had been expelled for nearly killing a fellow student, but he knew her type of character was valued by Elaine. “How about that lady from the Ministry? Anyone suspicious?” he asked, his voice low. He knew that Logan would know she meant Isolde Blackwell; so far his patrons hadn’t spoken of her at all, and in this instance no news was good news.

Logan smiled at Aerick's next question and shook his head, "No one," he confirmed softly. Honestly, it was amazing how well Elaine was able to pull that off. Not that Logan was surprised; he knew that Elaine was a gifted witch and extremely capable of whatever she set her mind to. "She's doing well, back into the thick of things to the normal eye." Of course, only a select few knew of Isolde and her ... situation with Elaine, but Logan was glad he was able to keep an eye on things and make sure that everyone else thought things were normal.

Aerick smiled and nodded with approval; it would be bad for Elaine and her cause for anyone to notice something out of the ordinary with Isolde. He remembered the first of them all, Anise. A little beggar girl on the side of the streets, barely seventeen and homeless. Nobody would miss her, and when they cleaned her up it was found she was quite pretty. She broke easily too, just under forty-eight hours. Isolde though was a member of the Ministry, not too high up for her disappearance to be questioned by anyone around her, but enough so that Elaine now had some insider access to the Tournament. "Good," he said, before being hailed by a half drunken girl down the bar. After fixing her two strawberry dacquiris, Aerick made his way back over to his friend. "How are you, otherwise?" he asked Logan.

Logan was enjoying this. It had been a while since he last spoke with someone he could have a real conversation with. Most people were unaware of his ... affiliations, and thus they did not really know him. Speaking with Aerick was like getting a breath of fresh air with someone that really knew what was going on. It was extremely relaxing to him. He smiled when Aerick had to leave for a bit to help someone a short distance away. Logan kind of watched, but not really. Then Aerick came back, asking how he was and Logan shrugged. "Bored. Ready to actually do something," he admitted. At least Aerick probably understood that. "It's why I'm excited about the dinner. At least I'll have some fun there." Maybe not the exact right wording, but Logan hoped that Aerick understood. He just had to be careful with what he said, in case someone was listening in.

Aerick couldn’t help but smirk a little at Logans’ bored statement. He knew the other mans job was certainly not boring, the Ministry could hardly be boring at a time like this. With the third disappearance of a woman, he was certain that young Minister would take note that something was amiss. Who knew how long Victoire Weasley would remain in power though; she had always seemed to be a temporary replacement until someone with more qualifications and experience was ready to take on the role. He wasn’t entirely sure how she’d gotten the position in the first place, nepotism probably, but there was no solid proof of that. “I’m sure you’ll be able to charm the lovely guest so she’ll just never want to leave,” he said, his implications darkly humorous. Of course many of Elaine’s...guests never left once they came for dinner, not truly leave anyway. They would leave the house of course, but completely under her control. He glanced over carelessly as one of the girls from the hen party stumbled her way forward, intent on bringing more shots to their table. “I better handle this one,” he muttered, rolling his eyes before turning on his bright smile. He arranged the shot glasses onto a tray and poured the liquid into them one by one, following the obviously drunk girl back to her group. After a few minutes, Aerick came back, suppressing a laugh. “The dark haired one was ogling you like a piece of raw meat,” he muttered, nodding towards the girl in question.

Logan noticed the smirk and was sure that he knew what it was for. He worked at the ministry, where things were obviously not boring at this moment. They were frantically searching for any hint or sign of the Purifiers and Elaine, but that still didn't fit under his job description at the moment. He was sure that eventually everyone in the Ministry would be searching for her soon but at the moment he was still busy making sure the muggles didn't notice anything important. He smirked back at Aerick's comment about him charming the guest and then shrugged. "Well, I'll certainly do my best. She certainly won't want to leave while I'm there," and it would be too late for her to leave after he left. The implication was certainly there and Logan was positive that Aerick would know what he meant. His gaze followed his friends to notice the girl before they reached them and Logan lifted an eyebrow. Being that drunk was never an attractive trait. At least, not to him. He watched Aerick for a moment when he poured the drinks and began to follow the girl, then Logan focused on his own drink. As his friend returned, almost laughing as he told Logan about one of the girls, Logan turned to look at her. "Not my type," he mumbled to his friend. Of course, Aerick would already know that. He knew about Kat and Logan's feelings for her, so the fact that he wasn't even glancing at this girl again shouldn't be a surprise to him at all.
