@cecelia
Did she find his views on love funny? The reaction definitely seemed like it. Not that Grey really had any say in what was real or wasn’t, since he didn’t think anything recently was applicable to his understanding of what really constituted as love. The problem with Ondina was falsified at best, and he had come to terms that there was no reason to compare those feelings to what it might actually be like. He raised his eyes when she brought up the point that an arranged marriage made all of that difficult. Was she one of those poor souls that he heard about? As far as he could tell, none of those folks really gave a damn about what was arranged and what wasn’t. That’s what school was for right? Breaking away from your parents and figuring out who you were. Being attached to someone that they chose as a future significant other was beyond archaic in his eyes. Grey would never have to deal with that, hopefully, so he wasn’t sure why he was thinking about the topic so much. “Suppose that could cause a few problems. Screw it though, right?”
He shrugged as Cecelia said that people already talked about her. Did they? He recalled Ranger having some kind of issue with her last term, but that had seemingly resolved itself. Grey was positive that Cecelia would be thankful to be rid of that. “That just means that you’re interesting enough to make small talk about. Nobody would ever talk about me unless they needed something.” Grey shrugged again. That was usually how it went. Wanted an ad for something in the paper? They came to him. There were the occasional calls for help, but not as often as asking him to move from a table that he was sleeping at in the library. “Something is better than nothing.” Yawning, Grey could feel his body finally hitting its limit. He probably should have been asleep ages ago. Fortunately conversations with Cecelia were always interesting. He enjoyed them. “We’ll have to discuss that at some other point because I need to sleep. I feel like I’m going to keel over here in a second. Definitely don’t want to be stuck here as a ghost for eternity.” Standing up, he headed towards the stairs leading up to the dorms. “Good luck with that work,” he waved over his shoulder. Bed was calling.[Grey Out]
