@dusti he sighed as he dropped onto the couch in the slytherin common room. he rubbed his hand into his eyes and couldn't help the yawn that spread across his face. he'd spent the last while with his cousin in the hospital wing and apparently it was over half the school what had happened to her. he didn't mind so much about that, he didn't care that rumors spread about her and people got grossed out by what had happened. but the part of the story with him there and helping her, well he wasn't sure he wanted that spread around the school. their deep aversion to each other was well known in their house and around the school but today had been something of a minor truce, at least for a few moments. he ran his hand through his hair as he moved to settle onto the couch, stretching his legs along it as he rested his head against the pillow, his eyes on the ceiling as he waited till it was time for dinner to start and wondering if he'd have to go find dusti so they could go down together. unless she had plans with elizabeth, then he'd just go down with scorpius or someone else who was around.

"What were you thinking?" Not Dusti's usual way of greeting her boyfriend. The whole 'being pissed' part was pretty normal though. Dusti had been semi permanently pissed the whole school year. There were, of course, moments of happiness but those usually revolved quite heavily on Albus. He'd been the only one capable of breaking through that haze of constant anger and snarkiness. It'd been enough time since the news of her parents' deaths that she was back to her usual sullen mood instead of her barely put together presence.
Her wrath today though seemed to be aimed at him. She'd entered the Common room after hearing about Albus and Lucy's little encounter. Obviously any situation that involved Lucy Weasley and didn't involve hitting the redhead put Dusti in a bad mood. Those two had been at oddssince first year. But this year had been particularly volatile for them. And Albus? There he was, just lounging on the couch as if nothing had happened. Planting her hands on the arm of the couch he was reclining on. "No, scratch that. Were you thinking? Lucy? Really?" Why would he help her? Despite being related Albus didn't even like his cousin.

@dusti "What were you thinking?" al opened his eyes to see one very annoyed no very angry blonde head staring down at him. well she knew. he hadn't expected people not to talk about it, after all it was him and lucy. his own family had probably been spreading it around out of disbelief. "No, scratch that. Were you thinking? Lucy? Really?" he rolled his eyes a little and sat up on his elbows, his eyes looking at her and he shook his head a little. "it's not like i sat there and pledged allegiance in her war against you dust." he said calmly, not wanting to add fuel to the fire but he had a feeling she wasn't going to let this go. he didn't know what to expect really, him and dusti had their differences. some glaring but they hadn't fought before, not really and this was huge. he understood why, really he did. he didn't like lucy either but she was his cousin when push came to shove, though that didn't mean he'd ever put her above dusti.

Albus didn't even looked phased. In fact, he was surprisingly calm about it all and even rolled his eyes as he propped himself up on his elbows. As if there wasn't anything wrong. And when he spoke? Dusti's blood boiled.
Her emotions had been chaotic all year, but could you blame her? Her entire world had come crashing down on her not once, but twice. And the news of her parents deaths (well, murder and death) was still so fresh and raw that Dusti was still struggling to emotionally cope. So it was no wonder that anything involving Lucy Weasley would set her off. Her hands tightened on the abric of the couch's arm. "How can you even help her? After everything she's done?" Since Albus finally knew about her biological father, Dusti had also told him about why she'd given his cousin a black eye. The nosy ginger had found out about her and Elizabeth's illegitimacy and bee taunting them about it.

@dusti "How can you even help her? After everything she's done?" he watched her grip tighten on the arm of the couch and he sat up slowly, moving to stand so she didn't have to bend over the couch, though he had a feeling it would take her a little while to unwork her fingers from the fabric of the couch. "because as much as we both hate the fact .. she's my cousin. i helped her to the hospital wing and left." it had been that simple. though he hadn't made it an easy journey for lucy and he wasn't proud to admit there had been some cheap shots in there but he hadn't been able to help it. kicking people when they were down was lucy's specialty. al had just tried to give her a taste of it. "i don't understand it either .. but something in me wasn't able to turn my back on her." he said with a frown. he didn't expect her to understand but he wasn't about to be chewed out for this. sure lucy was awful and if they weren't related he'd have probably found it possible to walk away but the fact was they were. he just had to live with that.

"Being your cousin doesn't mean you should help her." Dusti hissed. "Being family doesn't make someone any less psychotic." Dusti had her fair share of psychotic family members. Or rather... former members. To her, aside from her sister family meant little to nothing. she held no loyalty to them. Albus hadn't been raised the same way though. As he put it, he couldn't turn his back on her. Even though the red head was a horrible human being and didn't deserve his help. She leaned back as he stood up, releasing her death grip on the couch and taking a step away. She was to angry right now to want him any where near her. It might seem...petty, to be so angry about this. But it was deal to her. Dusti wanted nothing to do with Lucy and here Lucy was getting her bloody nose in Dusti's business, through harassing Dusti or in this case getting Albus involved. "You know how I feel about her, Albus. You know how much I hate her." So much in fact that Dusti periodically chose to sleep in the common room instead of her dormitory.
Taking several steps away, and moving towards the entrance to the girl's dormitory she continued to glare and seethe at Albus. "She deserved to be left like that. After everthing she'd done. She deserved a taste of her own medicine for once." And then, knowing he'd never be able to follow her, she turned and walked out of sight to the girl's dormitory. Girl's might be able to enter the boys dorm but ancient charms prevented the boys from entering the girls.
@al (haha, we knew it'd be short. so end XD)
