@adrian Breakfast time! Lily had been up for hours already, though most of it had been sitting in front of the fireplace waiting anxiously for the portrait to let her out so she could run around the castle like the wild-child she aspired to be. Morning curfews were silly, seeing as people were more likely to get up to naughty business when it was still dark out. The sun had been up for a grand total of nine minutes (she had counted each second) by the time the portrait had finally unlocked the door and let her run off into the castle. There wasn’t a plan; just normal Lily things on a normal weekend morning. Seeing what people were up to that early in the morning, or if there was anything interesting out on the grounds. Being confined in the common room on such a wonderful morning was not her way of going about business. There were things to see and do, even if she didn’t know what those were yet!
Those few hours spent between her sweet, sweet release and breakfast had been spent wandering down the corridors as slowly as possible, to the point where she started to pretend like she was moving in slow-motion. It didn’t matter to her that nobody else was around to get the joke, if they would even get it in the first place. All that mattered was that she was having fun. Eventually, she found herself outside on the grounds and walking along the lake. The foreign students weren’t even up yet, which was a surprise because they always seemed to be out and about in the wee hours of the morning.
A few good stomach rumbles and the signs of more students stirring on the grounds alerted Lily that it was time to eat. Back up to the castle she went, and straight into the Great Hall. Then she spotted him. Adrian. He probably had no idea that she was here. Looking around to see if any friends were around, she was glad to see that mostly everyone was too busy eating. She didn’t want anyone blowing her cover. Her target was unaware of her presence. Moving silently around the other tables and up to the Gryffindor table where Adrian was seated, she slid herself down the bench that he occupied, making sure to bump into him and trying to push him off the edge of it. “Scooch over. Your queen is hungry.”

Adrian hadn't slept well last night. The days leading up to the full moon could always be rough. So he'd been slow to rouse that morning, trying to get as much precious sleep as he could before hunger finally forced him out of bed. He'd have skipped breakfast if it were possible. But a growing boy skipping a mean? Complete blasphemy. Especially Adrian. He had a huge appetite, and he burned almost all the calories he took in. So, after loitering in bed until the smells of breakfast reached Gryffindor tower he silently made his way down to the Greathall. Yawning all the way. It was only upon arrival that he realized Lily wasn't in sight. Not really surprising. She was a storm, coming and going when she felt like it.
He'd just finished filling his plate and start scarfing down some sausages when a warm body pushed into him, as if to shove him off the bench. Unfortunately for him he realized it too late and did, in fact, slid off the bench and hit the cold floor. Only one person would do that. He looked up in time to see Lily occupied the seat next to where he'd been. "So? That was my spot." she didn't have to push him off, but it also didn't surprise him. Yawning again he scrambled off the ground and back onto the bench next to her, this time make sure to brace his foot out in case she tried to push him off again.

@adrian Yup. She did it. Pushed Adrian clear off the bench. Lily rolled her eyes, mostly at herself, because she hadn’t meant to bounce into him that hard. Just enough to take up the majority of bench herself. Though not that she thought about it, if she had wanted to take up space, she could have used his lap to rest her feet on as she lounged on the bench, munching on pancakes and whatever the lovely little house elves prepared for them this fine morning. Lily took a mental note on that one for next time. She enjoyed surprising him all the time. Those little things were the ones that counted the most.
Adrian was now on the floor, looking up at her. Lily grinned, giggling a little. He could take it. If he couldn’t, then he would have ran away from her years ago. “It’s mine now,” she taunted, picking up his fork and making sure to stab one of the sausages. She raised the food as close to her mouth as possible so he could see it, hopefully making him even hungrier. Smirking at the boy as he scrambled back up onto the bench, Lily bit down on the sausage and chewed slowly, nodding her head contentedly. “You know how to pick them Ad.” There was little push back on his end when he sat back down, though Lily had already decided to give him a tiny bit of room to sit. He needed to be able to eat too, at least whatever she left on the plate for him.
She stabbed another one of the sausages, bringing it right to her mouth this time instead of stalling like she had prior. They really were good this morning. No wonder Adrian had taken a plate of them. “So what have you been up to lately?” She asked through a mouthful of food.

A grin and giggle was the response he got. Not surprising in the least but highly irritating at this hour. She just looked and sounded so completely proud of herself that he wished he could wipe that smug look off her face. Alas, that was a feat he had never accomplished in six years of knowing Lily Potter. The girl wasn't nearly as easy to fluster as he was. And of course she was stealing food from his plate. Getting her own was too much work. Why not steal from someone that had already done all the work for her? "I was eating, before you interrupted me." He answered as she asked what he'd been up to.
She'd now scarfed down two of his sausages and had his fork hostage. Adrian just rolled his eyes and grabbed a plate from across the table, rolled half of the sausages onto it, and placed it in front of Lily before sliding his own plate infront of him, and hopefully out of her grasp. He'd had to give up half his sausages but maybe her own plate would pacify her from stealing his. Hopefully. "You need more then just sausage." He added as he retrieved a fresh fork and pointed it in the direction of the other breakfast dishes. He wasn't much of one to talk... considering he'd had a plate full of just sausage until Lily showed up. So, as if to lead by example he dished a rather large helping of hashbrowns onto his plate. Of course he'd chosen potato. He was German. His diet was ninety percent meat and potato.
Still not trusting Lily to fill her own plate and instead try to steal more from his own, Adrian practically inhaled half the hashbrowns and two sausages far too quickly for any normal human being. Only once he was satisfied that he was at least full enough that he could function properly until lunch did he guzzle down half a goblet of orange juice and glance at Lily out of the corner of his eyes. "I ran into your dad the other day." He commented gruffly. Adrian had an irrational fear of Lily's father. Partially because he had never had any sort of father figure in his own life so he just didn't get along with older men in general, but also because of the completely understandable belief that Harry Potter would string him up in the dungeons by his toes if he ever found out that Adrian had been the one to turn Lily into a Werewolf.

@adrian Lily rolled her eyes dramatically as he stated that he had been eating before she interrupted him. Interrupted was a very loose term in her mind. She liked to call it ‘inviting others to have the time of their lives’. It sounded much better that way. And she knew she wasn’t wrong. “No way? And here I thought you were waiting to bask in my awesomeness. Silly me,” she stated as she gnawed on another sausage. Either the house elves had gotten better meat over the last few years, or being a werewolf made it so much more enjoyable, because she was absolutely loving breakfast today. It kind of helped that Adrian was here, obviously because he had prepared a plate of food for her already. She managed to catch his eye roll as he reached for another plate. Someone hadn’t learned yet that what was hers was hers, and what was his was most certainly hers as well. Then he did the unthinkable – he had the gall to take a decent number of sausages off of her plate and then switched them. All Lily managed to do throughout this was stare at him, the sausage that was still skewered on her fork dangling at her half-opened mouth.
At Adrian’s direction to get more than just sausage, Lily glanced at the rest of the breakfast spread half-heartedly. If she had wanted other food, she would have gotten it. “But those were mine…” she pouted, putting on the best puppy dog frown as possible. There was no way it would work though. Adrian was immune to a lot of her tactics now. Most of the time it seemed like he simply didn’t want to go through the throes to correct her silliness, which was certainly fine with her. Watching him take some kind of potato-thingy, she groaned and did the same. She took her time gathering other things as well, taking another handful of sausages and a heaping pile of scrambled eggs. Hogwarts breakfast had nothing on her bottomless stomach.
Eating slowly, which was far from ordinary for her, Lily watched as Adrian scarfed all of his food down in a flash. What was with him today? It was like he was afraid someone was going to take his food or something. Silly Adrian. She wouldn’t let anyone do that because she was first in line for food snatching. And by snatching, it was more like taking everything. Like she had done a few minutes ago. Mimicking his drinking motion, Lily was a few seconds behind, enough so that when he stated he had run into her dad, she choked on her drink a little. Coughing, Lily tried to turn it into an awkward laugh. “Did he do the thing? I hope he did. He always does that when he meets people I know.” She had no idea what ‘the thing’ was, but neither did Adrian. Seeing him squirm trying to figure it out would be hilarious. Until then, she was going to try and keep a straight face and finish her food.
