Cara had been right. She liked when she was right. Penelope had wanted to get another book of sheet music. Musicians struggled to hold themselves back. The Ravenclaw didn’t consider herself a true musician; all she did was learn how to play a ukulele and have fun with it. There were no potential futures planned from that. Her current one was already highly idealistic, and the chance of it actually working out was close to zero. That didn’t mean she was going to give up instantly though, just that writing novels as a starving artist would have to be something she’d have to get used to until she struck gold. If she did. At least Penelope had a real skill in music, one that could be adapted to fit into the muggle world if need be. Writing could as well, though Cara wasn’t exactly a fan of writing to a crowd that might not appreciate what she had to say when it came to non-magical institutions. That was the Ravenclaw in her. Doing her best to dash those semi-negative thoughts of her future away, she smiled at her sister as Penelope stated that she was going to also be purchasing the other book. “Both of these should keep you busy for a while,” Cara pointed out, as she looked back and forth between the covers of the sheet music that both of them were holding.
Saying that the boy was nothing only made Cara want to raise her hand even higher to call him over to them. Penelope seemed to anticipate that move though, and was fast enough to pull her arm back down as swiftly as it had started to go up. The almost death-like grip that ensued on her arm said it all. Cara felt the need to pull away, but she relaxed as she noted that her sister really didn’t want her to butt in on whatever this was. “It looks like he enjoys music too. The two of you would have more than Transfiguration class in common then,” Cara reasoned. She had a feeling that wouldn’t be enough though. “Are you absolutely sure?”

It was true, Penelope loved to get new music. She had stacks at home of muggle music, and she had a significantly smaller stack of magical world music, that she wanted to gather more. The main reason Penelope had so much sheet music, was because she would play through one and eventually get bored and want to have something different to play. Sometimes she would go and play an older book, but other times, she just wanted something new. To be honest, Penelope didn’t know if she wanted to make it her future, but like her brother had told her, she wasn’t going to make a set plan until later. She wanted to test out her options first. ”Thanks. I think they will.” Both sets were different, and it would keep Penelope quite entertained. The one that she picked up for herself, was quick, almost fiddle like. She knew that she would need to start slowly and build up muscle memory before she could work on the speed. She smiled at her sister. She was excited to start to play them. After getting back to the castle, if it wasn’t too late, she thought she could run up to the music room and start doing a dry run of one of them. Penelope held her sister's arm as tightly as she could, knowing that if Cara truly fought back, she could, and would get free. But instead of fighting it, her arm seemed to relax and Penelope looked up just in time to see that her sister seemed to understand. She blushed at her sister's comment. Like she could ever talk to him. He was...well...he was amazing. But her sister was a Ravenclaw, and was being very observant and logical about the entire situation. ”I’m sure. Please don’t talk to him.” She would try. Eventually. But it would be on her own time. Honestly, Penelope hopped that the boy would actually come up and talk to her. But that wasn’t likely. cara june bainbridge

Penelope’s grip didn’t lessen even though Cara relented to the fact that her sister wasn’t going to be speaking with the boy. That meant she was serious about the whole thing. Deadly serious. The last thing the Ravenclaw wanted to do was alienate one of the triplets. They were easily swayed when it came to certain things, and the last thing she needed was all four of her younger sisters on the other side. Whatever that even meant. Diana was strange enough as it was, and despite knowing each other better than everyone else, there were still things kept apart. That alone, the triplets being triplets, and Kinsey doing her thing meant that losing some kind of power would result in her becoming a solo act in the family. She wasn’t quite ready to be alone. So holding herself back from getting the boy’s attention for Penelope was the least she could do. While she could set the two of them up, anything past that would be a new area she had never tread before. Penelope would quite literally be on her own at that point, and watching the Hufflepuff flounder around wasn’t what Cara was there to do. “I won’t,” she said giving Penelope a small smile, hoping desperately that her sister would loosen her grip soon. “Want to go then? The sooner we can get to work on this music, the more we’ll be able to play together this summer.” That and leaving would help Penelope escape the boy she was so enamored with before he spotted her staring. Cara was sure that her sister hadn’t thought that part through yet though.

Penelope couldn't possibly describe the relieved feeling that she felt when Cara didn’t go on and call the boy over. If she had, Penelope would have died, right there, in the music store. She was sure that her sister would have call the boy over, and she didn’t quite know why. But the fact that she didn’t showed Penelope once again that she did care for her. Not that she didn’t know that. Penelope just enjoyed seeing it and being reminded of it. Cara was so demanding and bossy. She did what she wanted, so when she did something nice for Penelope, she wouldn’t soon forget it.
Penelope didn’t loosen her grip until she heard Cara offer to leave. At that, she let go of her sister. ”Yea, lets go.” She loved to play music, and they could leave. The girls purchased their music and as Penelope was about to leave the store, the boy glanced over to the door. Face red, Penelope quickly look forward and just about shoved her sister out the door.
[OOC: Finished. Could you post that this is finished?]
