@hugo It was rather insufferable trying to talk to someone who had different ideals than herself. Obviously he wouldn’t understand her reasoning behind wanting less people in the library. That was an awful idea, having every student in the school in there. Incidents like the fireworks would happen on an hourly basis if everyone was packed into one room. Meals were bad enough, having to sit on top of one another in order to eat. She didn’t want to have to do that to study as well. Then again, that just solidified the differences between her and the boy. Their entire conversation thus far had shown how radically opposite they were from each other. Because of that, there really wasn’t much of a reason to get into a heated debate over whether or not more people in the library would be a good thing. Unfortunately, she couldn’t hold herself back. “If this amount of people in here right now can’t even study without disruptions, what makes you think everyone in the school here would be a good idea? It’s just not practical.” It didn’t matter if the library itself could expand or contract with the amount of students inside; the fact remained that having too many people in there would eventually lead to trouble. It was inevitable.
At least the boy was useful for something though. Cara would give him that. Fixing her book was priority after all the shenanigans that had just occurred. Getting that done would allow her to properly return to her work and forget that the fireworks had disturbed her in the first place. As he said he knew a few spells, Cara turned the book in his direction, hoping that one or two would work. All she really needed was for the pages to be less singed, and possible regain some of the writing from the pages that had been completely torched. Obviously only so much could be done when magic damage was the cause of it. The first two spells didn’t work, but third time was the charm, and the book looked practically new when he handed it back to her. “Thanks,” she responded as she quickly flipped through the pages to see if there was anything left from the damage. So far it was looking good. “What spell was that, by the way? In case I need to do the same thing again.”

Hugo couldn't help but roll his eyes. He was joking and of course she had to keep it serious. Besides, why did she need to get so uptight about this? Sure, people coming and pulling pranks in the library wasn't good, but if they were here to study, there was really no reason why they shouldn't be able to come in. He didn't want to fight about it anymore though, so he shrugged his shoulders and stayed quiet. Maybe she would take his silence for agreement. At least he could help fix her book. She seemed excited about that. At least, she wanted to know what spell he used. He told her and then went back to his book, closing it and picking it up. The fireworks were still going in the library and he didn't think that it was the best place to be. He wanted to try somewhere else. "Well, I think I'm going to find a new place to study. Since this place is crazy. See you around," he said, waving a goodbye as he walked away. cara june bainbridge (You wanna end it? Haha sorry didn't expect Hugo to want to leave so suddenly)

@hugo Cara was kind of done with this conversation. It had started out fine enough because it sounded like the boy had some interest in learning. Then he had to go and make that stupid comment about the library being open for everyone. She couldn’t fathom putting every single student in here. That was just ridiculous! Thinking over it again and again only caused her to get angrier at it. There were so many impossibilities with that idea. First would be that it would be insane to think there wouldn’t be disruptions. Dinner every night was a great example of that. Something always happened during meals. Second, every student wouldn’t be in here, because she would be walking herself right out the door if they were. If everyone was in here that meant that every other quiet study spot would be open for her to claim. Maybe it was that realization that made the boy roll his eyes at her response. There was nothing wrong with having a different opinion on the matter, except that she was right this time.
He told her the spell to fix the book, and Cara quickly wrote it down a piece of scrap paper from her notebook. That was going to be useful in the future, considering that she wanted to be a writer. Getting angry at a manuscript and blowing it up could easily be fixed by this one, so that was a plus for her. Another round of fireworks started and the boy closed his book, standing up and announcing that he was leaving to find a new place. That was smart. “Good luck with whatever it was you were doing,” she stated, trying to sound irritated by everything once again. A firework whizzed down the aisle once again, and Cara groaned loudly. Scooping up her things as well, she ran out of the library as fast as possible. At least the boy was right to leave early.
