@dominique
They seemed to agree that the ice with the normal spell was going to melt faster. It was kind of obvious after watching the last test. Scorpius still had his hypothesis that the magical consistency could cause instability in the ice, but testing out this round would prove whether that was true or not. There was also the possibility that it varied by spell and user. He was extremely confident in his ability to reinforce the water with different strength levels, and that had the possibility of creating stronger bonds in the ice. Since they had just gotten off the topic of Lily, she was a perfect example to use in his head. Her inability to pay attention for longer than a second or two would mean that she probably lacked the proper aptitude when it came to lacing the spell correctly. Having both him and Dominique here to test it out wasn’t the best idea when it came to his second theory on the whole thing, but still worked perfectly with the first.
All of that was backed up by the fact that the ice with the normal spell melted faster than the one that was stronger than usual. Interesting. Going back again, that could have all been because of him, but it did say something about the spell itself. Using Glacius as a defensive spell, such as a wall, meant that putting more into it would eventually create a strong barrier. He couldn’t say the same for everyone, but it was certainly true for him. More testing would have to be done to prove whether it was based on an individual basis or applied to everyone.
With the ice melting, Scorpius decided how to follow up this one. There were other things that could be done, such as testing the ice on land or blasting them with heat spells, but he was positive those would yield the same results. “Everything I have is probably going to be the same,” he responded to Dom. “What about you?”
