How was it that, no matter how many new playthings she found, Theodosia was still bored? It was an awful existence, constantly being bored by her life. When schoolwork was more interesting than interacting with others, Theo thought there was a huge problem to be addressed. The thing was, there wasn't a very large group of people that Theodosia could talk to about those sort of issues. The rest of the Hexen were obviously the ideal candidates, though Zaire was also an acceptable alternative. The thing about the Hexen was that Theodosia was starting to distrust most of them. Elaine had disposed of Viovinnia's brother, and while Theodosia completely agreed with the Dark Lady's decision, the little Slytherin worried that her friend wouldn't feel the same way. Lucy had her sister, which was bad enough already, but on top of that the goody two-shoes Gryffindor was the Hogwarts Champion. Lucy obviously had enough on her plate already. Which left... Ondina. As far as Theodosia knew, the only thing the other girl was up to was seducing some Gryffindor meat-head (what was up with the Hexen girls and their Gryffindors!?). That, Theo knew, was not nearly as important as her own boredom. She needed to find Ondina.

Ondina was relaxing in the common room currently, lounged across one of the long sofas with her head on one arm and her feet propped up on the other. It'd been a slow day thus far, and Ondina would be lying if she didn't say she was a bit bored. Daryl was a good distraction but that's all he really was, a distraction. And distractions could only keep you occupied for so long. Especially only one distraction. It might not be so bad if she had more distractions... Or if it was something more substantial. Hell, she had the love potion still that Elaine had given her. But with the new Headmistress around Ondina hadn't dared use it while gauging how alert the woman was. She was still quite mobile for her age. Not the quickest around obviously, but still agile enough to climb the stairs. So, Ondina was biding her time. Deciding just how the woman worked before trying anything. The last thing they wanted was for the new Headmistress to start to investigate the poisonings.
There was a book laying open across her chest, though she'd lost interest in it's contents half an hour ago. She did love Transfiguration. In fact, it was by far her absolute best subject. She was terrifyingly good at it, though she'd probably never become an Animagi simply due to her asthma. Despite her general extreme interest it just wasn't holding her attention today. She'd read this book a dozen times already, and the Transfiguration book she wanted from the library had been checked out for weeks now, a fact that had her about ready to curse someone. With a heavy sigh she closed the book and tossed it into the floor. She really needed something to d-
The door opened and Ondina tilted her head back to see who had just entered. "Theo." Ondina called out in a sickeningly sweet voice, as if singing out her friends name.

Fate seemed to be smiling at Theodosia today, because no sooner had she entered the Slytherin common room than she heard a voice singing out her name. Theo was tempted to roll her eyes at the sickly-sweet tone of Ondina’s voice, but she couldn’t bring herself to do it, lest it upset the other girl and make it so she was unwilling to have a conversation. Being treated like a child was a small price to pay for curing her boredom (especially since Theo was treated like a child more often than she liked to admit). Ondina was lounging on a sofa, which meant that Theodosia was forced to sit in one of the armchairs, since getting the other girl to move probably wasn’t going to turn out well. “Good afternoon, Ondina.” Theo said with a sigh. “Not attached by the mouth to anyone at the moment, I see.” She said. Well, so much for being polite to keep Ondina from deciding not to deal with Theodosia. It wasn’t like there was any malice behind the words… just a statement that could have been put in many ways that were much politer. “Is it fun?” Theodosia asked, slightly abruptly. “Chasing other people around, I mean.” Theodosia was interested in chasing her Hufflepuff around, but it wasn’t really fun so much as a challenge. Was that the reason Ondina did the same thing, or did she find other kind of enjoyment in the chase – or in the trap?

Ondina raised an eyebrow at that sigh. She was pretty sure it didn't have to do with her calling out to the younger girl, but still. It made Ondina wonder. At the jab though, Ondina laughed. She had been attached to a particular pair of lips lately, hadn't she? "No, not today. I've grown bored of my usual distractions." Ondina didn't really sleep around or make out with a lot of people. But she also wasn't very shy about admitting the fun she'd been having lately. Again, even good distractions eventually grew boring.
Theodosia's next question surprised Ondina though. Theodosia never asked many questions about that sort of thing, or at least Ondina couldn't remember the younger girl asking much. So, Ondina sat up, throwing her feet off the arm of the chair and onto th ground and she ran her fingers through her blonde hair. "I enjoy being in control. And from personal experience I've learned the one being chased has that power. So no, not really. I prefer being chased." She answerered honestly and nonchalantly, as if it were already honest. "Why do you ask?"

Ah, it was good to be with another member of Hexen. Theodosia had almost forgotten that there were people in this school who could take a hit without running home to mummy – or big brother, in the case of one Slater girl. Ondina said that she had grown bored of her usual plaything, and Theodosia laughed. She was beginning to get to know the feeling. “It’s about time.” She said. Theo was perhaps a bit biased, since she didn’t find men attractive, but she didn’t understand what Ondina had seen in the Gryffindor boy at all. Even by Theodosia’s standards, he was ugly. But that didn’t matter now. Theodosia had Ondina’s attention, and that was what was important.
Theodosia was somewhat surprised by what Ondina had to say about chasing. Maybe Theodosia had just been looking at Ondina’s relationships from the wrong lens, but she had always thought of her friend as the pursuer and whatever boy she was playing with as the pursued. Theo could understand why Ondina enjoyed being chased more, though. “If only I could get someone interesting enough to chase me.” Theodosia said with another sigh. None of the boys that chased Ondina were remotely interesting to Theodosia, so she wasn’t sure if she would even enjoy being chased.

Ondina laughed at Theodosia's reponse. She liked Theo's spunk. Theo had always had a bite to her that made her formidable to anyone she targeted, older or younger. Despite being younger then all the other girls in their clique Theodosia kept up without any problem, the girl's age didn't matter. "He was a willing participant. How could I refuse his advances?" He had after all been the one to first initiate their encounters.
Admittedly, Ondina hadn't expected this sort of conversation with Theodosia. Theo had never really seemed like the sort to want to be chased by romantic partners. But maybe Ondina just hadn't been paying attention. Twirling a lock of her blonde hair between her fingers, Ondina pursed her lips just a little. "Do you want to be chased?" Ondina asked straightforward. Ondina certainly knew a few tricks she could teach Theo... but only if Theo really did want to know.

Theodosia couldn’t help but snort when Ondina said that she wasn’t capable of refusing the Gryffindor’s advances. Of course she wasn’t. “We both know that you have more willpower than that.” Theodosia said with a wave of her hand. Ondina, like herself, was a pureblood, and a ruthless one at that. She wasn’t a slave to her emotions, otherwise she would be soft, and everyone knew that Ondina Weasley wasn’t soft. The question wasn’t whether or not she could refuse the advances – it was whether or not she wanted to.
When her friend asked whether or not she wanted to be chased, the Slytherin’s brow furrowed. “How will I know whether or not I like it if it’s never happened?” Theo challenged. In the abstract, the idea of being chased sounded appealing, but also rather exhausting. Theodosia didn’t want to promise Ondina her firstborn child or anything of the sort in exchange for the information, but she was curious.

Ondina was smirking. Oh, she knew she had the will power to resist. When she wanted too. But his timing had been convenient, and he'd been a suitable distraction when she'd been in a bad mood. It'd Been right after Cassius left, after all. She'd needed something, anything, to keep herself busy. But Theodosia didn't need to know about that part. "True." she agreed almost cheerfully.
It truly was odd to be giving Theodosia romantic advice. Especially this sort of romantic advice. None the less, Ondina shrugged. "By being chased, of course. If you want to try it out, I can always help with that." Ondina did have the love potions from Elaine after all. "Who would you want to chase you?" it wouldn't be that big of a problem after all. She could do a few favors for a friend every now and then. And besides, once graduation hit Theo needed to be ready to keep things going without the older Hexen girls. Why not teach her a few needs tricks of the trade?

Ondina seemed all too happy to agree with Theodosia’s comment about willpower, which didn’t answer the girl’s questions, but left a lot of doubt as to why Ondina would accept the advances of the lion boy if she knew that she could resist them. Theo wasn’t as concerned with that, though, as she was with the direction this conversation was going. Ondina seemed prepared to teach her whatever tricks she had that had boys falling over at her feet, and Theo couldn’t help but wonder if the same applied to girls. Ondina asked who she’d want to chase her. It was a good thing that Theo didn’t know the Hufflepuff’s name, otherwise she wasn’t sure that she would be able to keep herself from blurting it out. “I don’t care who.” Theodosia said, which was an absolute lie. She wanted the Hufflepuff girl to chase her, but she also didn’t want to deal with Ondina’s look when Theodosia said the world ‘girl’, or have to come up with some excuse to make that possible that didn’t end up with her sexuality in doubt. “What do you think the biggest challenge would be?” Theo finally asked. Maybe that would allow Ondina to arrive at the conclusion of getting a girl to chase Theo all on her own.

Theodosia wasn't going to make this easy, was she. Ondina sighed and laid back on the couch. So many choices. "You must have some preference. Someone you like, someone you want to torment, someone you think would be mildly entertaining to watch squirm, or someone that you'd benefit from." Ondina smirked darkly. She hadn't been interested in Grey Slater after all. He'd just been a mean to an ends. Some people, obviously, would be trickier then others.
Ondina raised an eyebrow and sat up as Theodosia asked for a challenge. "You know, the bigger the challenge, the longer the game. You might not see the desired results for sometime." Ondina cautioned. But if that's what Theodosia wanted she wouldn't stop her.

Now that Ondina had established that Theodosia didn’t necessarily have to like the person that she wanted to chase her, the younger girl relaxed a little. She could mention Zita without having Ondina wonder what one earth was wrong with her, wanting a girl to chase her around. “There’s a Hufflepuff girl…” Theodosia began, tapping her chin with her finger. “She had a horrible attitude, but rumor has it she’s a lady-lover.” Theo gave a small, nonchalant shrug. “It would be a shame if someone were to use that knowledge against her, no?” Theodosia was beginning to calm again. She knew what she was doing when she was spinning tales and telling half-truths. She knew what she was doing when she was collecting information on how best to hurt others. Ondina warned her that she might not see the results for a while, and Theodosia shrugged. “I have other playthings while I wait.” Ondina ought to know that much already.

Ondina casually leaned back into the couch and threw her feet back up into it, seemingly satisfied with Theodosia's choice. It didn't matter to her who Theodosia decided to pursue. As long as the game was fun the victims didn't matter. Though Ondina did feel a little pride in the fact that Theodosia wanted to go a more vengeful route. Ondina knew that their little clique would be in good hands after graduation if Theodosia kept the pace she was at. "A shame indeed." Ondina agreed maliciously. "So, how can I be of assistance in your chase? I have a few... resources do make it interesting but it's a more... synthetic route. Faster results but there is always a chance of being caught. " she explained. The love potions were always a good choice but a genuine chase was much more satisfying.
Ondina laughed at the mention of Theodosia's playthings. Not that she didn't believe it, but because she entirely did. Theodosia had a multitasking personality, so of course she'd find ways to keep herself busy while she waited for the results. "As do we all." Ondina agreed again.

Theodosia cocked her head when Ondina asked how she could be of assistance. This was new – being the one asked about what she needed instead of being the one asking. Theodosia could certainly get used to that. At the mention of Ondina’s resources, Theodosia shook her head. “The love potion posters plastered everywhere might not have done much other than look ugly for most, but I’m sure someone’s looking more into it now.” Trying to use a more synthetic route to trap her prey would normally be a viable option, but not after the poster thing. “And I’m patient.” Theodosia was in every way a snake – she was willing and able to hide herself in the grasses, to wait and wait and wait and wait until her prey was in the perfect position. That was the difference between Gryffindors and Slytherins – the snakes didn’t have to waste their energy chasing pretty when their prey would come to them. “What else do you have?” Theodosia asked. In the absence of real, physical boons, Ondina could always give knowledge, which would, in some ways, be even more useful. It could be applied again and again – even when the older girls had graduated and Theodosia was left to rule the roost.

Ondina's expression turned bitter and spiteful at the mention of those posters. Ugh, her cursed cousin just had to stick her nose where it didn't belong. Just a goody-two-shoes. Didn't she have anything better to do? Oh, right, probably not. Who cared about 'Roxanne Weasley'? Overshadowed by her father and her father's business. Roxanne had gotten her five minutes of fame with her publicity stunt, about all she was good fore. "An unfortunate development. But, our potion friend has assured me the latest batches are far more mild, appearing more natural." Still, even Ondina had been cautious about using the potions because of Roxanne's stunt. The last thing she needed was for anyone to start questioning where the potions came from, Grey blabbing about her, and then people really wondering where she'd gotten the potion to begin with. Ondina wasn't a potions expert after all. "If you want it to be more natural then patience will be your only true aid. Patience and determination." Ondina knew how to be patient. Didn't like it sometimes, but she understood it quite well. Her entire life had been one big waiting game. Lying it wait. Feigning interest and love for her family. Pretending to be a perfect Weasley child. Making her cousin's best friend fall for her, despite Albus' dislike of her. Everything had been one long game, and she was finally at a point where she could start striking back. Especially once graduation hit. She could get out of this place and really have some fun...
Ondina 'hmm'ed loudly, tapping a delicate finger to her chin as she rose to her feet and wandered over to the large dark fireplace. If THeodosia wanted advice on how to play this game, the first step would be knowing just where the pieces on the board were, and how to moved. Ondina had always been great at chess, so she often looked at situations as a chess board. "Tell me about her. If you want to know how to get her to come to you, the first order of business would be knowing her. What she likes, her hobbies, her personality. You need to become what she wants, otherwise the interest will just never develop." Just like with Scorpius. Do you really think he would have dated her if she hadn't put on an act that would attract him?

Theodosia couldn’t help but agree that the love potion poster situation was an unfortunate development. Her relative had had a part in the whole thing, but Theo preferred not to think of Ondina as a Weasley. Associating her friend with a family of blood traitors was distasteful in the highest degree. Apparently Ondina’s supplier was reacting to the threat with a revised formula of potion, but even then Theo didn’t want to risk anything happening. She could only get away with so much, and she needed to remain at Hogwarts so that Elaine had at least one loyal servant there. “Patience and determinations are my strong suits.” Theodosia said with a small chuckle. As far as she was concerned, everything was her strong suit when she needed it to be.
Ondina asked Theodosia to tell the older girl about Zita, and Theo paused for a moment, wondering how much she ought to reveal. She didn’t want to come across as obsessed with the Hufflepuff, because that would not look good for her heterosexual credibility, but in order for Ondina to help Theo, the younger girl needed to be as close to the truth as possible. In the end, Theo couldn’t summon much knowledge about the Hufflepuff at all. “She likes Quidditch and she’s a part of the Gay-Straight Alliance. And she speaks Spanish.” Really, that was about it. “Oh. She wears a lot of weird shoes.” In the times that they’d met each other, Theodosia hadn’t seen her Hufflepuff wear the same pair of shoes twice. That could mean absolutely nothing, but it did mean she probably cared about her appearance at least somewhat. “So I need to become a Spanish-speaking Quidditch player foot-model?” Theodosia deadpanned. She knew that wasn’t exactly what Ondina meant, but if she was going to go through this conversation, she wanted to at least have some fun with it.
