Edmund was surprised that he got himself into this kind of situation. Really, it hadn't been intentional but he wasn't sure what to do about it now. He'd practically given Lily permission to do ... honestly to do who-knew-what and he was starting to feel a little anxious about it. She was being a bit quiet, which seemed just as dangerous as her flirtatious attitudes and Edmund really just didn't know what to expect. 

Next thing he knew she was pulling out her wand, lighting up the room just a little bit with her wand. He watched her as she moved around his chair, kind of stalking him. It was strange, this anxiety. If he was smart he'd just be leaving, but he wasn't. He was sitting, waiting to see what happened. He tensed as she dragged the wand across him, but she really wasn't doing anything too intense. He sat still, waiting to see what would happen. She stopped behind him, and he froze when he felt her arms on his shoulders. "Ho-how about that for what?" he asked nervously. He knew that wasn't the right reaction because she would definitely take advantage, but Ed also couldn't seem to help himself. He didn't know what to do or how to act with Lily Potter. He felt something on the back of his ear and spun his head around instantly, but she wasn't there anymore. She was in front of him, straddling the chair he was sitting on. This was so different than anything he expected when he ran into her earlier today, though he should've known by now to not have any expectations with her. She sat down and her face was so close, but her wand was in between them ... not that he would've done anything if it wasn't there. He swallowed at her next question. "Now what?" He didn't know what the heck she was talking about! Was she going to get off him yet?

Despite her slight reservations at the whole lap dancing thing, her body was moving on its own, and Edmund’s lap was kind of comfortable now that she was there. Was he terrified yet? She couldn’t tell from the few words he did let out. They were mostly just repeating her questions, and that meant that she had to come up with the next thing. Making her do all the work, what kind of gentleman was he? Wasn’t royalty supposed to be chivalrous or something? Lily still didn’t know why she had pulled her wand back out and put it between their faces. It wasn’t like she was actually going to use it for anything, aside from intimidation. From what she could tell though, sitting on his lap had done a pretty good job of that already. “Now what...” she repeated further. That was such a good question. There were so many options for right now. So many things she could do. So many things she didn’t have to do, but kind of wanted to anyways. The tough part was figuring out when it was too far. Normally she said screw it to restraining herself, but this was Edmund. Torturing him too much would make her feel bad and send him running. Then the fun would be ruined.

Placing both of her hands on the back of the chair, she leaned in even closer to him, enough so that her lips were inches away from his one ear. The goal was to say something to get him to make a move. To stick up for himself instead of letting her drag him through all of this. “Tell me, are you a boy?” Lily leaned back to her original position and stared at him, biting down on her lower lip to sell her sultry words. “Or a man?” He should understand that, right?

She seemed to be content sitting on his lap and Edmund wasn't really sure what he should do. A part of him felt really tense at how close she was, at how she seemed to be dancing around with him and just messing with him, but another part ... the other part of him actually liked it. Which didn't make any sense! He was supposed to feel uncomfortable having her so near and sitting on him, but the anxiety about it all was ebbing away. 

Ed was more focused on this than anything else when things suddenly changed again and Lily was moving in closer than ever. Her lips were inches away and he felt his heart-rate increase again ... nerves or excitement, he couldn't tell. She whispered, asking if he was a boy and then pulled away again before asking if he was a man. Annoyance rushed through Ed and he made his split-second decision. He reached forward, wrapping one arm around her back to pull her nearer and taking her chin with his other hand, meeting her eyes as he brought her close once more. "You tell me," he said before he closed the gap between them and kissed her, more intently than he really meant to. Then again, she was asking for it.

It only took a second for Edmund to react to her teasing. In that second, Lily was caught off guard. She hadn't thought that Edmund was the impulsive type. That was usually saved for her giggly band of Gryffindors and a few Hufflepuffs. The cold, calculated movements of a Slytherin didn't add up for what he was doing. She would know, she grew up with one. And yet Edmund's hands still found their way behind her back, pulling her close to his face once again, the one maintaining the distance, the other giving him the control that she had commanded the entire time. Following that with his quip back, and Lily was momentarily lost for words. That was just enough time for Edmund to turn the tide of her little game. She should have known better. Push someone enough, and they would eventually break. That had happened with Scorpius once too. Jokingly pushing his buttons until it looked like he was serious. Edmund was the same way right now.

Whether the kiss that he followed up with held any meaning aside from getting her to stop teasing him would be left for another time. She returned it in the only way she knew how, because if she didn't that would be unlike her. The whole time spent teasing him had been alluding to this after all. Might as well give the boy what she had been dangling right in front of his face, even if it had gotten the better of her. Even with time seemingly slowing down during it, Lily pulled away first and moved both of her hands from the back of the chair, interlocking them behind his neck. Wow Edmund. Who taught you how to do that?" she grinned. "I need to give them a trophy or something. You know how to take a girl's breath away."

Well ... this was definitely more intense than Edmund meant it to be. He just couldn't help it with how she was teasing him. He felt a mix of annoyance and attraction to her and had to admit- to himself of course, not her- that he actually enjoyed the kiss. The fact that she returned it was encouraging though, not that he thought she would reject it after teasing him so. When she pulled away, she moved her hands so they were behind his neck and Ed watched her curiously. He smirked at her question, "Wouldn't you like to know," he teased. He wasn't particularly big into relationships, but that didn't mean he didn't know what he was doing. "You sound surprised," Ed commented after a moment. He wasn't really sure what else to say, or what was going to happen now, but he was in a weird mood where he just decided to take it as it came and see what happened.

“I would like to know!” she practically yelled at him, grinning the whole time. “That was impressive. I knew you royals were romantics, but jeez…” His follow up comment that she sounded surprised brought on a laugh. Oh was she surprised. She had been leading up to the fact that she was potentially going to kiss him, but never thought in a million years he would take that sort of initiative. This was Edmund Windsor they were talking about after all. Lily knew she shouldn’t have assumed he wouldn’t know what he was doing, or that he wouldn’t fight back in his own manner, but this was something else altogether. “I did say you took my breath away, right?” Quite literally too. That was the only thing that could happen when someone smashed their lips against yours. She would know. She did that to Scorpius once. That had been hilarious.

The question now though, was what to do next. Edmund, in her mind, had just won the game in one fell swoop. He had used his ace, when she had simply been beating around the bush the entire time, waiting for the perfect opening. While technically she could get him wound back up again, it would be difficult. He was smart. He would definitely find another way to beat her. Plus, if kissing was allowed, who knew what would be next. Now that, she was sure Edmund wouldn’t fall into. But he had surprised her once already tonight, so there was no telling. “Well Ed, that might be enough of a taste for you tonight,” she smiled devilishly at him before sliding off of his lap and backing up towards the door. “Since we’re basically in a committed relationship now, just give me a yell whenever you want me.” Giggling at her own idiocy, Lily blew a kiss at him before running out of the room and down the corridor. That would hopefully be enough to put him through another stage of confusion tonight.
