[googlefont="Kranky:400;"] tagged @kinsey words 000 notes I figured your post could be ending with them arriving at the carnival. If that is okay, if not I can edit mine. | Cameron wasn’t the kind of person to spill secrets. He was loyal to friend and family. He had no desire to make someone not trust him. It wasn’t in his nature. He smiled when she said that she would have to show him the spots. How many do you have he asked. He was curious because she said a few spots, not just a spot. It was insane to think there were parts of the castle that no one knew about. He guesses it could happen, since the castle was huge. He couldn’t wait to see where the spots were.
He nodded about the trying new things. That’s what I tell my sister but she isn’t that patient with me he said laughing. He smiled when she talked about going to the carnival with him. 579154 he said. Cameron learned that when he had a gut feeling about something he should listen to it. He stood up and put all his stuff on his bed with a wave of his wand. He didn’t want to walk all the way up there. Yeah, we will he said as he stretched a bit. Yeah, we will he said as he started to head out of the common room and down the stairs with Kinsey beside him.

Cameron asked how many secret places she had and Kinsey shrugged. "About three or four, I think." She was constantly finding new places and trying them out, but really there were only a few that she truly trusted when she wanted to be alone. Occasionally she ran into people in her places, but not often.
She smiled, "Well I'll be patient with you ... especially since you're the more adventurous out of the two of us," she teased. She liked making him laugh. Kinsey didn't normally feel comfortable enough around people to make jokes and tease, but she and Cameron had been friends for ages. She nodded, "I think we'll be able to have fun," she agreed. She watched as he cleaned up his stuff and sent it to his dorm and then stretched. Then they were walking out of the Common Room and through the castle.
Before she knew it, the two were approaching the carnival. "Have you ever been to one of these?" Kinsey asked, starting to feel slightly anxious. She was already starting to feel all the intentions coming from the carnival. Mostly it was just a bunch of positive ones, but she also felt some negative intentions. Each step closer made the wave of intentions louder in her mind. There were so many people here. She knew that, but still hadn't anticipated the sheer volume of people that would be attending. Maybe that was because they weren't all students. As she started to feel overwhelmed by her gift, she turned to Cameron trying to hide how tense she was as she touched his arm. Doing so seemed to somewhat mute the other intentions around her and she just felt a desire to have fun, and his sincerity and Kinsey smiled at the instant relief. Her plan worked! "I didn't expect so many people to be here. Umm ... I really don't want to get separated in the crowd. Would you, uh, mind if we held hands or something?" Her voice was nervous as she asked. She didn't want to overstep their friendship, but if she didn't have some physical contact she wasn't going to be able to stay for more than a few minutes. She needed him to say yes, but this was just so awkward. She waited anxiously for his response.

[googlefont="Kranky:400;"] tagged @kinsey words 275 notes anything here. | Cameron smiled when she said she had about three or four secret places. He was excited to explore then when she had the chance to show him them. He smiled more when she promised to be patient with him. His face was probably red. Well thanks he said with a grin. He pushed his glasses back up onto his face. All he needed as they were walking for them to fall off or for him to trip. He nodded when she said that they could have a good time. Yeah, we will he said as they headed out of the common room.
Cameron tried to watch where he was walking. He didn’t always trip but sometimes. They were finally there and he had managed not to trip. A sigh of relief escaped his lips. Kinsey asked him if he had ever been to a carnival. He shook his head and said no I haven’t actually. He had no idea what to expect but all his friends seemed to enjoy it. He hoped he and Kinsey could enjoy it as well. They both didn’t like big crowds apparently. Then he felt it. She touched his arm. His face turned red again. Then she talked about how many people were there and how she didn’t want to get separated. She then asked if they could hold hands. Something inside him did a somersault. His face was still red and he was sure that it reached to his ears. Uhmm…yeah of course he said as he took her hand in his. He was actually holding Kinsey’s hand. Why did he care all of a sudden? It was weird.

They didn't talk much on their way down to the carnival, probably because both Kinsey and Cameron were nervous about it she couldn't sense any intention for him to leave her, but she still knew he was nervous. He didn't want to go in the first place. That meant that he was nervous about it, didn't it?
She heard him sigh when they arrived and looked over, but he was already answering her previous question. She smiled at him, "Well I guess we'll have to figure this out together then." For some reason Kinsey felt relieved that this was his first time as well as hers. At least she wasn't alone in that. After her question she looked over at Cameron, and found herself shocked to see that he was bright red. Was he alright? Or getting overheated or embarrassed? But ... What could he possibly be embarrassed about? She hoped it wasn't her question and started to doubt whether or not she should've asked that, but then he said of course and took her hand and Kinsey felt a rush of ... something. She didn't even know what sort of a name to put to it. Her first thought was that she was relieved that the sea of intentions around them were gone, but no. It was more than that. Her pulse was racing and her fingers tingling slightly. Without really meaning to, she moved hey fingers so they weren't just being held by Cameron's. Instead, their hands were now entwined. She looked over at him again, a small smile on her face. "Are you alright Cam?" she asked, hoping he didn't mind. It was just ... so nice to be focused on him and not everyone else. For once.

[googlefont="Kranky:400;"] tagged @kinsey words 000 notes anything here. | Cameron concentrated on walking down to the carnival. He didn’t want to fall which is why he was quiet for most of the way. It would be embarrassing if he fell in front of Kinsey, though he probably expected it to happen eventually. Once they arrived at the carnival they started talking more. Cameron was just glad he hadn’t tripped or something. Yeah, I guess we will he said smiling. He was here, at the carnival with Kinsey. He was glad he was here, but terrified as well. There were so many people here. It was loud and chaotic, but when Kinsey was holding his hand all the noise went away. Yes, his face was bright red but now that didn’t matter to him.
He couldn’t believe they were holding hands. There was a feeling that he couldn’t describe. His heart was racing for some reason and he wasn’t running or playing quidditch. It was a different kind of excitement. He realized he liked this feeling, whatever it was. Then she moved her hand down so that their fingers were intertwined instead of him just holding onto her hand. He knew it was probably just so they had a better hold and wouldn’t lose each other, but he couldn’t help for the rush of excitement and the feeling he felt to get stronger. He was losing his mind apparently. He nodded when she asked if he was okay. Yeah, I am he said smiling.

Kinsey liked how it felt to hold Cameron's hand. Surprisingly, it wasn't just because he blocked everyone else out. Cameron had very ... peaceful intentions. It was soothing for Kinsey to be touching someone who meant absolutely no harm to anyone and she couldn't help but love the sensation. She grinned when he said he was doing alright and then started looking around for something they could do. After all, it seemed a bit pointless for them to come together to the carnival and just walk around. "Well, it looks like there are three options," she surmised after glancing around for a few seconds. "We can get food, play a game in one of the booths, or go on a ride." She paused, scanning the area to see if there were any other options before smiling and nodding, proud that she assessed correctly. "What do you want to do first? I can choose next and we can take turns," Kinsey suggested, mostly because she figured if they came up with a system this would be more efficient. Also, it would hopefully remove the "no, you choose first" dilemma that most people dealt with when they went places. Besides, she was pretty sure Cameron would be willing to go along with it. He was a very good sport, from what she noticed over the last few years of their friendship.

[googlefont="Kranky:400;"] tagged @tagged words 000 notes anything here. | Cameron was nervous for some reason. He didn’t know why. His cheeks stayed a shade of red, but it wasn’t as bright as before. He would need to talk to his older siblings about this feeling. He just couldn’t describe and he was very knowledgeable, so for him not to know something irritated him beyond words. He smiled at her suggestion. That sounds fair he said. He thought for a moment and kept looking around. How about a ride first then he said looking at her but also keeping an eye out for what was in front of him. The last thing he needed was to run into someone, or trip in front of Kinsey. Why did that matter though. He did that all the time and she had witnessed it over the years. Why suddenly did it matter. She never laughed at him before. Though if your sister Cara is in any line we choose we are rushing out of there and to another one he said hoping she would agree. Cameron tried to take the older Ravenclaw on in his second year not knowing better. He learned quick and she terrified him.

Kinsey smiled and nodded when Cameron suggested they should try a ride first. She'd never gone to something like this before, but she was interested in it and curious about the different options available. "What kind of a ride do you want to try?" she asked Cameron. "It looks like they have calm ones, like the ferris wheel, but also roller coasters. I've never tried either so I'm good which whatever you'd prefer." Honestly, Kinsey was willing to do anything right now. The relief from not having hundred of intentions pushed on her at the same moment was fabulous. She could hardly believe how calm she felt. It didn't hurt that Cameron only had good intentions. He seemed a little nervous, but she attributed that to the fact that he didn't really want to come here to start with. She didn't know why, but she could respect that. She was just glad he agreed to come with her. Kinsey laughed when he mentioned not wanting to wait in any line with Cara. "Deal." Kinsey answered without hesitation. "I have no intention of letting her ruin my fun day." She didn't know if Cara would actually try to do that on a day like today, but she didn't really want to give her the chance either.

[googlefont="Kranky:400;"] tagged @tagged words 000 notes anything here. | Cameron was glad to be at the carnival with Kinsey today. In fact, there wasn’t anyone else he would rather be there with. He could feel his cheeks cooling down from the red they had been when Kinsey had first taken his hand and intertwined their fingers together. He had kept giving himself a pep talk in his mind saying that he had this, but what did he have. Why did Kinsey affect him like this? She asked him what kind of ride he wanted to go on. Her suggestions were ferris wheel or one of the roller coasters. Cameron needed to gather up his courage for the roller coasters. How about the ferris wheel first he said.
Cameron wanted to spend the whole day here if he could with Kinsey. He was enjoying himself and he could tell that Kinsey was to. He laughed when she agreed not to be in a line with Cara. He was glad Kinsey agreed to it. Cara scared him just a little. He saw the ferris wheel and started to head that way. Without Cara around any day is a good day. I know she is your sister but with her attitude it just puts a damper on things he said being honest.
