His question, if she was volunteering to assist him in his endeavors of living in the Room of Requirements. She mirrored his body language, her arms folded the same way and leaning forward as well. "You do remember I graduate soon, right? I'd only be able to help for a short time. You'll need to find someone in your own year to volunteer if you plan on keeping it up next year." And if she was being honest... Dominic didn't actually have that many friends he would actually trust with the task.
"They would turn you in." She answered immediately, no hesitation. In fact, probably anyone he asked would rat him out. "Why do you need a hiding place anyway? Something you're hiding from?" Diana found herself asking out of curiosity.

She folded her own arms and leaned on the table too, mirroring him, which made him smile a little more. Then, she reminded him of the worst thing ever. That she was leaving him soon. Or rather 'graduating'. Same thing in his book. He grimaced, "finding someone in any other year is a waste of time. I only have you," he had meant to make it sounds like a joke, but it didn't work out that way at all. It sounded almost harsh, but Diana would know he didn't mean it that way. He wasn't blaming her for being born sooner... well, not exactly.
She agreed that the house elves would turn him in, and he knew anyone else would too. Then he asked why he needed to hide out anyway and what he was hiding from and he actually considered it. It started out as a joke, but now she was really asking the questions. The hard questions. He was silent for a few moments and then cleared his throat, sitting up. "From Lily Potter. Obviously," subject change, "I mean, the girls insane."

Diana's expressing softened at Dominic's harsh words. She knew he didn't mean them, at least not the tone. But there was a level of honesty to his words. It would be strange... graduating before her friend. Having a whole year where they could only really write letters and maybe see each other during hogsmeade trips or Christmas break. She leaned forward even more and unfolded her arms only to place her hands on his cheeks and firmly press her lips to his forehead. Diana doubted Dominic would tolerate such a gesture from anyone else, but he'd never pushed off her slightly more affectionate gestures before. "I'll find a way to sneak in then." She answered softly before pulling away and sitting back in her chair again.
She couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at his reluctance to answer before suddenly pinning it on Lily Potter. Diana smiled, deciding not to push it and just play along with his subject change. "Im pretty sure you can handle Lily Potter. You can be a little crazy too you know."

Dominic closed his eyes as Diana places her hands on his cheeks. He let out a breath, trying to release his anger and annoyance as she kissed his forehead. She said she'd find a way to sneak in and he nodded, eyes still closed for another moment after she pulled away. He doubted she could actually find a way to sneak in... But just the thought was good enough. For now.
At the mention of Lily, Diana said he could handle her and that he was a little crazy too. "I know that. But at least I don't sneak attack people..." he had seen her do similar things, but it had never happened to him. He and Lily weren't really friends, after all. "Most people know I'm coming ahead of time," especially Kinsey, who seemed to have a sixth sense about that.

Ironically, Diana did know a way into the school. Or rather... she'd created one. It was a horrifying thing to know. That Elaine could get into the school completely unhinged. But she didn't let herself dwell on that. She couldn't. If she thought about all the things Elaine bad already made her do and the things she'd no doubt ask of Diana in the future she wouldn't be able to function. But she knew the consequences would eventually catch up to her. She just hoped they wouldn't crush her when they did.
Diana smiled as his remarks. She'd honestly never paid much attention to Lily Potter, and by default her relationship with Dominic. "I've heard it's unwise to question why the insane do things. It will only drive you yourself to insanity." was her philosophical answer. Though his remark about people knowing when he was coming.... oh she knew who he was thinking of there. Her sister, Kinsey. When you were close to both the victim and the bully it was hard to keep any sort of tormenting a secret. But Diana refused to talk about it with Dominic. She knew he had his rough edges, and those rough edges could make him lash out at times. And as long as Dominic didn't pry into her secrets (specifically about how much time she spent with the Ancient Runes Professor) she wouldn't pry into his. She didn't say any of that of course. Instead a more light hearted answer came out when she opened her mouth. "You do have a pretty heavy walk." she teased with another smile.

He rolled his eyes as she said that he shouldn't question why the insane were... Well, insane. "I can afford to be a little insane," he countered. He really was insane he was sure, at least a little bit. You had to be pretty insane to have some sort of relationship with three girls in the same family. Whether it was bullying, false worship, or best friends. You had to be a little insane to want to work with the 'bad guys'. And you definitely had to be a little insane to feel any sort of attraction to Lily Potter.
Diana said he had a heavy walk and he nodded, frowning in a forlorn fashion. "I'm afraid I do. I think it works to my advantage. Being so scary and all," he chuckled and leaned forward, "come on. Help me study this stuff and teach me how you could do it better than the professors," he grinned, opening his book again and waving for her to join his side of the table. He was used to having her around while studying, and he really needed to get this done...
