Addie Lee had a small list of great loves in her life. She had her family (including her cat), her friends, her art, parties, and last, but certainly not least... candy. Addie Lee had a love for sweets that she felt was unparalleled by others. That probably wasn't true, but Addie Lee could get her fill in candy. So when the Hogsmeade weekend rolled around, she knew where she was going... Honeyduke's. To her, the candy store was the greatest place in existence. She liked places like the Three Broomsticks and all as well, but most of her allowance from her parents went to the famous sweet shop. Addie Lee walked into the place and took in the smell. Oh... it was hypnotic, a combination of all great scents in the world... chocolate, butterscotch, fruit candies. She could practically live there. She looked about and saw that a few new candies had been added. That was a good thing and a bad thing as she wanted to try all of them. She made her way over to the nearest one, something called a Devil's Cauldron. It looked like a Cauldron Cake, but the package said it had a spicy kick. She liked spicy, so she decided it would be the first item in her basket. Next she stepped over to something called Goblin Gum. She was about to look at it when a Hufflepuff boy with magically enlarged ears and a long nose. "You don't want to try that one, trust me," he groaned. "Thanks for the heads up, mate," she said with widened eyes. "You might want to get back to the hospital wing." Addie Lee felt for the guy, but she let him on his way. lily luna potter

@candace Hogsmeade! Lily was shaking in anticipation like usual. That wasn’t really a new thing for Hogsmeade days, but it still happened regardless. There was so much to see! So much to do! People to find and pester with her incessant talking. Well, she didn’t think her conversations with other people were annoying, but she had been told otherwise. Not her fault that she liked talking. Luckily for everyone, she was heading to Hogsmeade to get more candy. Candy meant sugar. Sugar meant being wired. Being wired meant running around the castle and grounds with a virtually limitless level of energy. By doing that, she wouldn’t bother everyone with her jabbering. That sounded like a win-win situation to the Gryffindor. The last thing she wanted to do was annoy someone by mistake. She was fine with it being on purpose though, because at least then there was some fun to it all.
Like every other weekend of the last however many years she had been allowed in Hogsmeade, Lily made her beeline straight to Honeyduke’s. There was no question that the candy shop was her favorite place to go in the little town. There was a possibility that it was her favorite store to go to in general. The ice cream place in Diagon Alley was pretty nifty, and so were the family joke stores, but they didn’t even compare to this one. The air was practically candy itself. If there wasn’t a spell for that yet, she would make it her life work to figure it out. Everyone deserved sugar-air.
Busting through the door in a fashion that was only expected of Lily, she stopped to point and laugh at a boy that was leaving the store. His ears and nose were huge! Clearly he ate one of the bad candies. She wasn’t a big fan of the ones that caused physical transformations. Usually they left a foul taste lingering in her mouth, or caused rather unpleasant things to occur. Like goblin-boy here. Good old chocolate frogs and pixie sticks were her jam. And not just a couple at a time. Lily needed handfuls; the amount of which would put any normal human being into a sugar-induced coma. Not her though. Sugar was her fuel. It made her tick when nothing else would.
Spotting the back of a rather familiar looking head, Lily waltzed over and tapped the girl on the shoulder. “Almost didn’t see you there. Blended in with all the other sweets,” Lily grinned at her friend.

Addie Lee was now looking at the crystallised fruit candies. These were another of her favorites. One of the few healthy things that Addie Lee liked was fruit, so of course she loved the candy version. She went for the pineapple, strawberry, and blackberry. She was stuffing her basket when she felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned and grinned as she saw Lily. "Hey, love!" she said. She then smirked at the compliment. " Well, now you're here to blend in with me, my most sweet one."Addie Lee loved the two younger Potter children, and it had nothing to do with who their famous father was. Addie Lee never went for the famous parents thing, which was odd given her father was a well-known actor and her mother a well-known fashion designer. She loved Albus because he was a good guy and he helped get her into Phoenix Rising. She loved Lily because Lily was just wonderful... and fun... and amazing. "So I think I'm getting the usuals," she said. "Well, except for this Devil's Cauldron. It's spicy chocolate, and I love spicy and chocolate. What about you? Anything new you're willing to try?" She then spotted a handsome Hufflepuff boy walk by. "Hmmm... I wouldn't mind giving him a try."lily luna potter

@candace Lily narrowed her eyes at her friend as she turned around and said that the Gryffindor blended in with the sweets as well. Sometimes that was true. She liked to think that she was more like the sugar rush that candy gave people than the actual taste of it. Being the driving force was far more entertaining that being something that was savory. Addie Lee pulled off the latter though. Lily simply couldn’t wrap her head around that part of it, at least not all the time like her Slytherin friend could. Having the chance to be devilish at times and sweet during others was all a part of her energy packed lifestyle. “I think I’d be more camouflaged over there,” Lily pointed towards the sour candy section, having to stand on her tippy-toes in order to see exactly where it was. Whilst she wasn’t super tiny, the shelves were still hard to see over at times. Honeyduke’s had a habit of stacking boxes of candy high above her head, leaving the more accessible, tastier candies at a normal height and the more dangerously delectable ones at the top where they were out of the reach of children and young adults with a height deficiency like herself. That didn’t matter for Lily though, because jumping and climbing were her specialty; she had a knack for being able to snag exactly what she wanted off of the top of the shelf with supreme accuracy. Those ‘Don’t Stop Till You Drop’ Ghost chili pepper flavored suckers that supposedly could kill you if you weren’t careful? Easily within her reach despite her lack of height. That or she could seduce ask a taller boy to get them for her. Whichever was more accessible at the time.
“Chocolate, chocolate, and chocolate for me,” she responded. “Though Devil’s Cauldron sounds like a challenge to me, so that’s maybe one or two to the pile.” Swiftly making her way over to the front of the store to get a basket as well and making it back to her friend just as quickly, Lily took her free arm and dragged an inordinate amount of Devil’s Cauldron packages into it. “There. That should do it,” she affirmed with a confident nod of her head. The warning label on the front of the packaging didn’t scare her in the slightest. There were far more dangerous treats in here to be wary of. Unless these were untested candies. Then they would have to worry a wee bit. Doing trial runs of products wasn’t out of the ordinary for her, being half Weasley, but anything that could melt her tongue off was a little too much even for her. She needed that thing to blabber whatever was on her mind. Being shut-up for any period of time longer than five seconds was not bueno in her books.
Addie Lee’s mention of giving something else a try got Lily’s eyes to track her friend’s gaze. There was a boy from Hufflepuff walking by, and she tried to contain a laugh. “Him? Be careful. Heard he got a nasty case of dragon pox last term,” she warned.

Addie Lee frowned and shook her head as Lily pointed to the sour candies and said that she could blend in with them. She refused to believe that about her friends because Addie Lee wasn't a fan of sour people, and she adored Lily. "Nope, I stand by it," she said. "You belong here with me, and you're going to stay over here." Of course as soon as she said that, Lily was off getting a basket. She was quick to return though. Addie Lee then chuckled over Lily's remark about chocolate. "I don't think you mentioned chocolate quite enough," she joked. "And tell you what, we'll try the Devil's Cauldrons together. That way we can race to the Three Broomsticks to get some Gilly Waters."Addie Lee frowned when Lily said that the Hufflepuff got a bad case of dragon pox. She wasn't too keen on snogging with someone who had caught that. "Ouch," she said. "Oh well, life goes on, doesn't it?" She then smiled at a Ravenclaw boy who then walked by. "Yep... it goes on..." She then snapped out of it. "Let's go see what the fudge makers are brewing." Addie Lee was always interested in seeing what flavors the fudge makers were creating. She didn't care for ordinary fudge, but she did like the different flavored ones. lily luna potter

@candace “Fiiiine,” Lily rolled her eyes jokingly. “I guess I can be sweet today. Might kill me though. I’ve been a lot more sour lately than anything else.” Or dead inside. Either of those worked for her feelings over the last month. She could eat as much sweet candy as she wanted and it wouldn’t tip the PH scale from sour back to sweet. There would need to be quite a bit of work done to fix that. “I’ll do my best though,” Lily nodded her head, affirming that she was going to actually give it a shot for once. It felt better to be happy than thinking about her stupid boyfriend having to leave school. And candy made everything better, if only momentarily. That’s why she was grabbing as much as she could. That way she could numb it all.
Of course she hadn’t mentioned chocolate enough! Chocolate was chocolate, and she could never not have enough of it. “Oh? I don’t have enough you say?” Lily swiped a few more chocolate bars that were begging her to take them off of the shelf. “How about now?” Everything was a game. At Addie Lee’s mention of eating the devil cauldrons and then running, Lily bounced on her toes a little. “Yes! Good idea. Because the only drinks they have here are Liquid Dragon Fire and chocolate sauce. While those sound great, they aren’t.” Lily knew. She had tried drinking both to satiate her thirst and they both failed miserably. Chocolate was meant for getting hyper, not for drinking like water. As for Liquid Dragon Fire? That was one of her dumber moves. She didn’t like talking about that one anymore.
“Yup. The poor guy though…no one will approach him for the next few years just because of that,” Lily sighed as she watched the Hufflepuff disappear from the store. It was sad. But also his fault he let the dragon pox get as bad as they did in the first place. “Let’s. I’m choco’d out for today though. Slap my hand if I try to get anything else.”

Addie Lee chuckled when Lily said that she could be sweet that day, even if it killed her. She gave her friend a devilish grin at that, and leaned forward to whisper to her. "Don't forget, my dear," she said. "Sour's always sour, but sweet can be sinful," she said. "Just because you're putting on a pretty smile and twinkling eyes doesn't mean there can't be a naughty girl behind it all. Remember, you're with a Slytherin, and I could give you some wicked lessons in the art of being both cute and cunning." She then chuckled. "Besides, you're not as fun when you're sour. I'm not either. Nobody is."
Addie Lee shook her head when Lily said she didn't have enough chocolate. She threw a few more bars in her friend's basket. "No, you don't, and I don't either," she said. She then poured more into her own basket. "Like it's possible to have enough chocolate. My dear Ms. Potter, you know better than that."She nodded about the choices at Honeyduke's not helping for a burning mouth. She then looked at some caramel candy. "Maybe........ nah, not caramel either," she said. "I wonder just how hot these things are." She thought of taking a bite, but decided not to until later. Addie Lee frowned about the poor Puff. She wanted to say that there was someone out there for everyone, but she hadn't believed in that since her heart was broken. "Well there always coming up with miracle potions," she said. "Maybe he'll luck out by graduation." She then looked at the cute Ravenclaw as he passed again. "Wouldn't mind ruffling that eagle's feathers though."Her mind then went back to chocolate. She laughed when Lily said to slap her hand if she got something else. She took Lily's hand and gave it a friendly kiss. "I could never hurt this lovely hand," she said. She then watched as a Slytherin boy ran by with smoke coming out of his mouth. He dropped something and Addie Lee looked at it. It was a Devil's Cauldron with a big bite taken out of it. "Well... that answers that."lily luna potter

@candace Lily could barely contain her giggles as Addie Lee whispered her spiel about sweet and sour. Oh how true all of that was. Her friend knew her better than she thought, and that was a pretty big accomplishment. Balancing sweet and sour was difficult when nobody took her seriously to begin with, so usually she just did that whole sinfully sweet thing her Slytherin pal was talking about. It had benefits in certain situations obviously, and boy did she know when to turn it on too. “Psssh,” Lily grinned, waving her hand jokingly. “I’ve got all that down already, but I’m always game for a refresher. You snakeys have some slithery tactics I’d like to adopt as my own. You know, for fun and all that.” Lily nodded her head as her friend continued on, pointing out that nobody was fun when they were sour. She liked to think that applied most of the time, but there were definitely instances where being a tad bit distasteful got across the point she was trying to make. “You’re always fun. No matter what,” she countered back. There was no way Lily was going to let Addie Lee get away with saying she was a bore. Not on her watch.
“Well obviously one can never have enough chocolate. But I’ll tell you a secret,” Lily’s voice dropped lower as she moved closer to continue their whispered conversation, despite not really having to whisper. “Chocolate is supposedly not good for dogs. So I’m trying to keep my intake a bit lower than usual.” With a quick wink, she grabbed exactly one more candy bar and put it in her basket with the rest. Having this stash on top of the desserts was perfect. An endless horde of candy at her fingertips…how she had survived her first two years at Hogwarts was beyond her. James and Albus could only do so much for her back then, and even then she had been prone to begging older students for a piece of candy or two. Now she didn’t have to worry about that anymore.
A miracle potion to cure dragon pox…that would be something else. She definitely wouldn’t be getting close to anyone even remotely near that boy, or any other infected individual. Then again, being a werewolf probably had the chance of making her immune to it. Dozens of new questions were bouncing through her head as Addie Lee mentioned ruffling an eagle. “There’s a bird in here?” Lily yelled, wildly looking around to see the chaos and destruction that a wild creature would cause inside a candy store (hint: probably something similar to the whirlwind she had come in with). Spotting a boy crossing in front of them, she saw the Ravenclaw badge and understood it, laughing awkwardly. “Well give it a shot then!” she nudged her friend with her elbow. “Don’t know until you try.” Before she could anything else though, another student ran by with smoke emitting from multiple orifices on his body, dropping one of the Devil’s Cauldron candies on the floor as he did so. Glancing down at her basket, Lily glared at the one she may have ‘accidentally’ scooped up earlier. Removing it from the basket, she set it delicately on the shelf once again. “Yes. Yes it does.”

Addie Lee grinned about having some tactics that Lily could adopt. Addie Lee was all for teaching a refresher. Well, if anything, she was just all about having wicked fun with a girl she adored. "Hmmm, what lesson to refresh you on next, my dear," she said. "I'll have to have a think on it. I do have a spell book from home. Perfectly legal one, of course, but it has some very naughty spells in it. At least I think they are. I'll have to show it to you some time." She then shook her head about always being fun. "I appreciate the kinds words, mate, but alas I am not always in this jovial mood. I just happen to be in it when you're around. Few make me as happy as you do."Addie Lee frowned a bit when Lily spoke of how chocolate might mess with her as a werewolf. While Addie Lee did not judge her friend at all for being a wolf, she did feel for her at times. She could only imagine what Lily had to go through as a wolf, what her family had to go through. Addie Lee placed an arm around her and drew her close for just a moment. "Do what you need to, love," she said. "Know I'm here to help you take it easy on it... and to support you in general."
Addie Lee laughed about the whole bird business, and then shrugged when Lily said for her to give meeting the Ravenclaw a shot. "Maybe... I don't know," she said. She then sighed. "And sadly I do know and have tried. Remember the bloke I told you about? The heart-breaker. Still haven't quite healed over that. Best I can do with other blokes is some playful flirting. A strong relationship? Well, that's another matter."Addie Lee got rid of her Devil's Cauldron as well. "I tell you, some of these new candies are a bit on the nasty side," she said. "They should be at Zonko's or your uncles' shop sold as pranks, not here."lily luna potter

@candace Prank spells that were legal were the best! Lily was practically shaking with excitement just thinking about it. Or maybe that was the insane intake of sugary air that she had since entering the candy store. Either way, she wanted to see this book. There would surely be a handful or so that she already knew, but the more the merrier. Unfortunately it wasn’t with Addie Lee, but rather at her home. That meant having to wait until summer. “Guess that means I can pop over and snag it from you over break. That way I can come back next fall ready to prank the pants of everyone,” the Gryffindor nodded her head confidently. Albus would be a great test subject if he decided to live at home for the entirety of the break. She needed to figure that out now, in order to come with a course of action going forward. “Cool! I get the special side of you then,” she grinned.
Lily took the arm around her as a chance to hook her own around her friend’s side. Apparently they were doing side-hugs now, which was totally fine with her. “Oh I was just joking about that,” she laughed. “If being a werewolf stopped me from eating chocolate, I wouldn’t have turned in the first place.” And wasn’t that the truth. There would have been absolutely no reason to trade chocolate for the wolf. She wouldn’t have been able to do it. Too much was at stake there. She already lost a few nights a month to the wolf, acting strange and then the beast itself, she would absolutely die without candy bars and ice cream. Lycanthropy would be truly evil at that point.
“All play comes with work you know.” Or was it all work and no play? Didn’t matter. The concept was basically the same thing. One couldn’t be done without a little bit of the other. “Flirting doesn’t have to stop right at words either,” Lily stated. “Not that I would know or anything.” Getting a little physical never hurt anyone until it did. Everyone was used to her jumping around and being buddy-buddy, so a peck on the cheek or hug wasn’t exactly unnatural. It was the switch to seduction mode that always got them though. It was all a joke on her part, but her victims never knew that. If they did, it only made it better because escaping her clutches was extremely difficult. “Totally agree. Why would anyone want candy that turned their ears green or shot smoke out of their nostrils? Crazy times we live in,” she rolled her eyes while laughing. On second thought, having smoke shooting out of her nose sounded kind of fun…

Addie Lee chuckled about Lily coming over and snagging the book. Lily was one of the few she would trust to borrow it. It was one of the family's prized possessions after all, though her dad and mum rarely used it. Besides, it was an excuse for her friend to visit. "Well you definitely need to come by," she said. "Mum adores it when you visit. You know she's going to spoil you with your favorite desserts." Addie Lee then smiled about Lily being on her special side. "Always and forever." Addie Lee breathed a sigh of relief that Lily was joking. She didn't know much about how being a werewolf worked, so she couldn't tell when Lily was joking at times. She then laughed about Lily never turning if it meant no chocolate. "Well good because I'd miss sitting with you and demolishing an entire basket of chocolate frogs," she said. "Oh speaking of, I got that special edition chocolate frog card of your Uncle Ron. I finally have the whole Battle of Hogwarts set."Addie Lee smirked about Lily not knowing about flirty. In Addie Lee's opinion, Lily didn't need to flirt. She was beautiful. "Guess we'll see what our final year brings," she said. "Who knows? I may find love and do all that fairy tale rubbish."Addie Lee nodded about why Honeyduke's would resort to "joke candy". "I suppose they're good to buy for pranks, but really, I would hate to stumble upon some sweet that turned me into a toad," she said. "Or worse... a rat. I'd be terrified of myself every time I looked in the mirror... and I'd be trying to outrun my own cat."lily luna potter
