It was now the evening of the third task. The three champions had spent the remainder of the afternoon after the task in the hospital wing, healing up from their creature encounters in the third task. But now the evening feast had begun and all the students were in attendance. The great hall was a mix of Hogwarts black, Durmstrang red, and Beauxbaton blue with the schools' banners decorating the walls. Except for three. There were three banners up by the head table that remained stoically gray, as if waiting. And they were. From their placement the one in the middle was the highest, the one on the right second in height and the one on the left the lowest. The meaning was obvious. The banners would represent the champions in order of placement in the tournament. But for now it was still unknown. The winner of the third task, and the winner of the entire tournament would be announced tonight, the 30th of April.
It was a grand feast, the house elves in the kitchen whipping up a fantastic array of foods. From old favorites to foreign delicacies, and as soon as one tray was empty a new one would take it's place. Finally desserts came and they were just as splendid as the main course. Hogwarts had held nothing back for the feast that marked the end of the Twi-Wizard Tournament.
Only once every student and staff member were thoroughly stuffed did Headmistress McGonagall slowly rise to her feet. Despite not calling the hall to attention her movement did not go unnoticed and she students fell deathly silent in anticipation. Each of the Headmistress' stepped seemed to echo as she walked around the long staff table and moved to the owl podium in front. The hall was so quiet you could hear a pin drop.
"We have had the honor of hosting a historical event this year at Hogwarts." Professor McGonagall started, her heavy Scottish accent reaching every corner of the hall. "Three champions were chosen, of vastly different backgrounds, skills, strengths and weaknesses. The goblet of fire saw something in each of them that set them apart from their peers. While we may never truly know exactly why they were chosen these individuals have proven themselves to be true Champions of the Tri-Wizard Tournament. Champions. Please stand." There was a round of applause as the champions stood. Headmistress McGonagall let her gaze travel to each of them. Molly Weasley of Hogwarts. Emile Chevalier of Beauxbaton. Elias Greyback of Durmstrang. "Champions, you have faced many obstacles. You have proven your worth not only to your schools and to the magical community but also to yourselves. While there is only one ultimate Tournament Champion you will all go down in history as Tri-Wizard Tournament champions." More applause followed.
"Now, on to the third task results. In third place, and winning twenty points to their overall score is Emile Chevalier." She was forced to pause there due to powerful applause. "In second place, and winning thirty five points is Elias Greyback." it was almost deafening now, not just for Elias but because only one champion was left. "And in first place is Molly Weasley, winning fifty points to her score." Quite a few students had done the math by this point and their restlessness was obvious. They knew who the winner was.
"Which means!" Headmistress McGonagall had to speak loudly, calling order back to the hall. "The Tri-Wizard champion, with one hundred and thirty five points, is Molly Weasley of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry." The applause and shouting was absolutely deafening. "In second place with one hundred and five points is Emile Chevalier of Beauxbaton Academy. And in third is Elias Greyback with 75 points."
The Great Hall did not come to order for sometime as every student celebrated. A phantom of a smile graced Headmistress McGonagall's lips as her gaze slowly wandered, watching the riot of students festivities. She could let them celebrate for a moment. It was a rather momentous occasion after all.
After several minutes students began to notice the Headmistress still standing there and began to quiet. Only once the hall was silent once more did she speak. "Our foreign guests will be with us a short two weeks and will be returning to their respective schools May eighteenth so they may prepare for their final exams and graduation. It has been a pleasure meeting all of you. While you were only here a short time, Hogwarts' doors will remain open to each and everyone of you, if you ever need." With those final words she stepped away from the podium and the banners above the long table finally changed. Hogwarts in the middle, beaxbaton on the right, and Durmstrang on the left.

The Triwizard Tournament was over. The three champions had spent the afternoon in the Hospital Wing, having their injuries tended to by the nurses. Once they were mended again, though, there was still one thing left: Professor McGonagall would be announcing the winner.
Throughout the feast, Parvati could hear the students' chatter from her place at the staff table. It echoed above their plates of food and throughout the Great Hall, English mixing with every other language represented in the room. Everyone wanted to know who had won, though the hall was as far from hostile as Parvati had ever seen it. There was more food in front of her than she knew what to do with and dishes that she could hardly identify but guessed that Padma probably could.
Then, when the meal finished, Professor McGonagall stood. Everyone, students included, went silent. Parvati watched between the House tables and where Professor McGonagall stood before them. When McGonagall had the Champions rise, Parvati looked directly at Anna Weasley for a second and then back to her superior, listening as the point totals were announced.
“The Triwizard champion, with one hundred and thirty-five points, is Molly Weasley of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.”
The noise was nearly enough to make Parvati's ears ring. She clapped politely at first and searched for Anna's face in the crowd again. After all of the hell that she had been put through for the sake of the tournament, she was so deserving of the win. “Well done,” she mouthed to Anna, grinning, though, with all of the celebration, Parvati wondered if Anna had even seen it. Once things were quiet again, hopefully Anna's fellow students wouldn't have suffocate her too much and she could find the time to congratulate her properly.
The Great Hall went temporarily silent as Professor McGonagall gave one final announcement, providing the students with the notice that their foreign guests would be departing for their home institutions in a few short weeks.
“While you were only here a short time, Hogwarts' doors will remain open to each and every one of you, if you ever need.”
Even for Parvati, it was bittersweet. This was her second time to witness the Triwizard Tournament, though they had made it through without the same tragedy as the last time. No one had met the same fate as Cedric Diggory, for which Parvati was very thankful. Everything had happened—more or less—as it was meant to. For a competition with such a dangerous reputation, that was a feat, and she was glad that her sons had gotten to witness a tournament that had gone as well as anyone could have hoped.
She looked to the others at the High Table, shaking her head but still smiling. “I can't believe she's done it.”

Hogwarts' feasts were one of Oona's favorite things about school, and that included her classes and everything that she could learn from them. This feast was particularly important because it wasn't one that happened every day. The final task of the Triwizard Tournament had been held earlier that very same day, and everyone was eager to know who had won. She had heard someone behind her on her way into the Great Hall discussing how he thought that the whole thing must have been rigged for Durmstrang to have done so poorly and had promptly shushed him for suggesting such a thing. It made perfect sense that Anna had done so well by comparison, she had argued; she'd had the advantage of competing at her own school.
The feast itself went on without their knowing whose banners would be in the first, second, and third places—as they had been arranged, evidently, to reflect the final standings of the three Triwizard Champions. Oona ate quickly, hoping that the news would come sooner if she finished sooner, though there was still a room full of people who had to finish their meals, as well.
When Professor McGonagall came to the podium, Oona listened as though her life was dependent on it. The elderly witch gave her introduction and then announced that their winner was none other than Molly Weasley of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Like so many others surrounding her, Oona's gaze turned to Anna. The roar of excitement was stunning, and she imagined that the majority of it had come from Gryffindor, in particular.
And then the room fell quiet again as Professor McGonagall gave their foreign visitors' date of departure as the eighteenth of May. But that was just a few weeks away, thought Oona. With schoolwork, she hadn't had much time to spend out by the Durmstrang Ship. Now that there was a deadline and no tournament as a distraction, she knew that she needed to readjust her priorities. Maybe some of the Durmstrang students were more studious than they were intimidating, she thought, and would be willing to share a bit about their exam notes with her. If anyone was going to be willing to discuss the Dark Arts, in particular, Oona guessed that the Durmstrang students were still the right choice.

Shawn listened on almost a little impatiently as headmistress McGonagall gave her speech. It wasn't that the speech was taking too long but he wanted to know who the champion was probably as much as everyone else did too. This whole tournament had been an exciting experience and almost made him regret that they didn't have it while he was students. Granted the last tournament hadn't gone this smoothly. In fact the last one a champion had been killed but that wasn't because of the tournament itself but the events surrounding those years.
As the headmistress announced the winner as well as second and third place Shawn held back the urge to cheer loudly. He was one of the types to be loud about celebrating but this wasn't such a situation even if he really wanted to. Here he was a professor and had to be a bit more professional than that. He restrained himself to just applause while McGonagall gave the great hall time to celebrate before she continued her speech once more. He did wish the other schools and their students well but his heart and prided rested with Hogwarts and he wasn't going to hide that fact still it didn't mean he didn't have respect for the two other schools.
With the speech done the students went about celebrating and enjoying the feast the same as the staff on the high table did. The first one to speak was the school counselor who was nearby, remarking how Molly had one. "Well with the amazing counseling here at Hogwarts how couldn't she." Shawn replied, still just over joyed at the outcome of the tournament.

“Well,” remarked Shawn Ashcroft, “with the amazing counseling here at Hogwarts, how couldn't she.”
It was certainly flattery if Parvati had ever heard it, but she would take it. “Thank you, Shawn,” she laughed in response, “but I'd like to think we've all helped her.” It wasn't just her being humble or hoping that Dominick wouldn't take offense to what could have been taken as a flirtatious comment from another member of staff; they had all had to serve as a support system for her in some way or another. The majority of that responsibility might have been on Parvati's own shoulders, as Anna's Head of House, but that hadn't meant that her colleagues hadn't had to work around their syllabi to accommodate Anna's preparations for the Tournament. (The visiting staff members of the other two schools had been in the same positions, no doubt.)
Even though Anna had won and that much was over, the students' excitement seemed to signal that they all would have a long night ahead of them. Anticipating some impromptu parties—probably the most celebrations from her own Gryffindors—Parvati lowered her voice a touch. “We'll want the Aurors stationed outside of the Gryffindor Common Room tonight, I suppose,” she said, only partially in jest. If they couldn't stop any potentially dangerous behaviors before they started, then they could at least have some additional authority on hand for when it got out of control.

Shawn just smiled as Parvati thanked him followed by saying they had all helped her. If anything Shawn had wished he had been more help. He had only started as a professor this year, it wasn't like he had taught her or anyone for longer than that but still he was proud of the position he had and the chance to continue teaching. Parvati lowered her voice a little as she spoke of having people outside the Gryffindor common room. Shawn knew what she was getting at, he could only imagine the after celebration in the Gryffindor common room. Not only had the Hogwarts champion won but she was a Gryffindor, if that didn't scream for an added party for just Gryffindors he wasn't sure what did.
"It'll be interesting to see how long it takes for the house elves to get that common room back in order after tonight." Shawn said with a slight smirk, this probably wasn't the time a professor should have. Being this relaxed about students being up all night celebrating but he was just being realistic about the situation.
