He confirmed that he did indeed work with wands, and his sister was getting back into it. Then he mentioned the passed mother and father in jail, which sounded vaguely familiar to her... she read the news... sometimes. She nodded, not necessarily agreeing that he had no choice, but not saying that out loud. She didn't want to overstep. "Well, I hope you enjoy doing it," she chose to say. It was both genuine and not her preaching to him or anything, so it worked.
They reached the top and he looked over at her, asking what she thought. She looked down below at the colorful fake rocks they had just climbed, then around the room a bit, then back to him. "I kind of like heights, I think. Didn't expect that," she hadn't ever really though about it, in all honesty. High places where just kind of... there, they didn't make a difference.

Aras nodded when Callisto said she hoped he enjoyed his work. “I really do.” He got to give people one of the happiest memories of their lives – the finding of their first long – and that was rewarding work, even if he had made a few mistakes along the way. Aras sometimes wondered what would happen if he stopped selling wands, but the idea was so foreign that he could never entertain it for more than a minute at a time. He belonged in the shop.
Callisto looked around, surveying the gym before answering his question about what she thought about… whatever she wanted to be thinking about, actually. “I think height lends a new perspective.” Aras responded. Of course, he was already pretty tall, so there were probably about a billion jokes to be made about how his perspective wasn’t all that new, but Aras didn’t care for those. Seeing things from this high up was a way to remind him of how small he really was. Aras didn’t want to continue down that train of thought, though, because that was an existential crisis waiting to happen. “Was the view worth the climb?” Aras asked.

He did enjoy his work, and that was nice. It was always nice if you did something that you really liked for your income. That's how healing was for her. She was also a bit of a workaholic, though, which wasn't always the healthiest way to live but now with Sebastian staying over more and more often, her life was slowly changing.
Aras said heights lended a new perspective and she nodded, agreeing. She turned toward him as he asked if the view was worth the climb, and she smiled. "Yeah, I think so. I always enjoy the payoff more if I worked hard to get there," she admitted. "This was fun," she said firmly, stating the fact.

Aras smiled when Cal said that she thought the view was worth the climb. He agreed wholeheartedly with things feeling better if he worked to get there. It was certainly better than having his entire life handed to him on a silver platter. His date said that it was fun, and Aras nodded in agreement. “It was.” He approved easily. “No offense, but I’m not really sure that we’d work… romantically.” Aras liked talking to Callisto, but there wasn’t much of a spark there – just the kind of warmth that came with meeting a new friend. “Friends?” He suggested. Then, he realized they were still on top of the wall. “Let’s get down. Then you can decide if you ever want to speak to me again.” Aras joked, not waiting for a response before beginning to rappel down the wall and back to the soft mats on the ground where he’d wait for Callisto’s answer and his departure.
@callisto (end on yours?)
