Karen chuckled. "Maybe we'll just have to make one up for you," she suggested. She wasn't really that creative with fictional tales but Kara could probably spin something pretty mad. Talking about Poet with someone was nice, too, so she was glad that her and Finn were able to discuss that. But then, whilst discussing healthy competition, Karen looked up to see where Finn had brought them. Karen laughed one quick, "hah!" then looked back to Finn as her friend entered. She followed. Karen didn't much care for bright lights and loud noises but she was actually pretty good at games when she let herself play them. She like improving her dexterity with some and challenging her mind with others. It was amazing what you could win using math and science. She followed Finn, "so, where to start? Against each other somewhere or against nameless arcade aliases?"finn kylie nottingham

@karen Creating a backstory for herself would be…difficult. All of her friends and family were still alive. Her dog was doing just fine. Having to lie about any of those being gone was kind of silly, in her opinion. But if it did the trick, she was sure she could allow one to succumb to her fictional life. As long as they didn’t catch on, of course. “Guess we might have to. When was the last time a hero without one actually got anything done?” Realistically, any hero that wasn’t a work of fiction had a chance of being a normal person like her. Good old ordinary people doing extraordinary things. That was the kind of life Finn liked the most. Those that thought of themselves as superheroes, or untouchable vigilantes had it coming. Having been on both sides of that now, law enforcement and ‘crime-fighter’, she could accurately deduct what the values of both were. Was she more reckless doing what she was doing right now? Yes. The positive that was that there weren’t any restraints holding her back, something she had disliked about being under MACUSA’s control for the last few years.
Karen asked what they could do first, go against each other, or find some randoms to take down. The last few times Finn had stopped by, she had done just that, destroyed a bunch of local kids. She had to be careful though, seeing as they seemed eager to crown her their queen. The last thing she needed was to babysit a group of teenagers every day after school. “They have an old Space Invaders cabinet I wanted to check out first. And then maybe a racing game we can both do?” she offered, heading towards the Space Invaders machine. There needed to be some kind of plan in this place because it was huge. The first time she had been here, a few hours had been spent wandering around taking note of what machines they had, and the best order to play them. Today, she was finally enacting part of that plan.
