She said it wouldn't be difficult to give him attention, then asked if she was going to be 'another one' of those girls, then said she was fine not knowing that before he could even answer. He shrugged, "I'll keep up the mystery then," but, in all honesty, he liked Finn. He liked how she was down to earth and didn't dislike him for not being as much. He liked that she thought fencing sounded cool, and that she hadn't ran out screaming because of his life, like Isla almost did. Like Isla would have if they had stayed together. He liked that she had a genuine smile, and that she didn't look at him like he was some kind of alien. She was in awe of some of the castles features, sure, but she seemed to understand that he was still just another person. That was different than most. Not all, but most. She seemed to vanish into the couch even more, which caused the cushion to bend slightly so he sunk toward her. She placed a hand over her chest, laughing about her 'unemployed heart'. He let the couch sink them together further until their shoulders were touching. "Hey, I'm not employed either. I just am trying to help run a country," he said, as if this was an incredibly boring thing to do with his time. When, in reality, he loved it. She said that death by couch wasn't that bad, using his full title like he did and causing him to grin. He looked up toward the television mounted on the wall as she spoke about how this was a better alternative than things that could happen in New York. He turned back to look at her, his brow slightly furrowed. But before he decided if he was going to ask about it she asked how they would escape, mentioning that he could no longer save her because he was now trapped, too. "Well... there are a few ways. One, we could use our wands to levitate us out of this. No one will see us, they don't come in here when I'm home," well that sounded bratty, "or, we could keep sliding down until we're on the floor, then just roll to a kneeling position and stand."finn kylie nottingham

@will A mystery. She could do that. Meant there would always be something to talk about, or something new to learn. That was kind of how school had been, and she had absolutely adored that; enough that she had traveled across the Atlantic to learn more about different cultures and how they did things. “I like a good mystery,” she stated, narrowing her eyes at him. “That could work.” What she meant by that, she didn’t even know. There was a lot about Will that she was still trying to fathom, like how someone from royalty could adjust to what was probably called commoner life at Hogwarts, and then come back to this without a problem. She assumed it was the way he and his siblings were raised. They probably had to be careful with all the tabloids and insincere people in the world. And here she thought she had a will of iron and a strong mental fortitude. Dealing with no-majs on a day to day basis, with all of their shenanigans, was crazy.
Finn was looking straight ahead of her as Will said he wasn’t employed either. Just running a country. She laughed at that. “You don’t consider that a job? I’m not sure I want to know what you do call employment then…” she said, turning her head to see that the couch had slid him towards her, enough that their shoulders were touching now. He was…close. The discussion changed to their escape plan though, and Finn stared at him as he said they could either levitate themselves out, or slide down the couch until they got off. Both seemed plausible, the levitating one still being risky even if he said no one else would bother them while in his room. If no one was going to walk in, then there was another option. Which was for her to use him as a leverage point to get her body into a more workable position to get off of the couch. Her dog did that to her a lot at home. There was no reason it wouldn’t work for her as well. “Bear with me for like, two seconds,” she said as she rolled herself over onto her side and placed one hand onto his chest. She didn’t know what to expect from that, but he felt solid enough that it wouldn’t hurt when she pushed herself up. Her other hand was still on the couch as she tried to do her awkward push-up thing to get into a sitting position that wasn’t as sunken as the one she had been in. What Finn didn’t account for was that the couch seemed to have a mind of its own, the pressure on it causing Will to slid closer to where her arm was planted on the couch, and for her to lose her placement of the other hand, with it moving from his chest to the other side of him as she lost her balance, hair falling over her face. “Nope. Didn’t work like I thought it would,” she said through the mass of hair. “How bad is it now?”

Finn said she liked a good mystery and he grinned, nodding as she narrowed her eyes at him. "Well, I guess I'm the right guy then," okay, he wasn't sure what that was supposed to mean, exactly. Maybe that was all part of the 'mystery' thing. He was even a mystery to himself and didn't know what he was saying anymore then she did. Will was generally pretty careful about what he said, though... usually. She was looking forward as he spoke about not being employed either and she laughed, saying she didn't want to know what he did call employment if he didn't consider his work a job. "I mean, I guess it's work, but I don't get paid for it or anything," he explained. He was too low level for that, and he was more royal family than Parliament. It was all a big dumb thing, really. He liked that it wasn't a true monarchy, though. With people ruling the country just because of blood. He was glad, though, that his blood had got him involved. As for escaping the couch... he held still as she rolled over, placing a hand on his chest. He raised an eyebrow, but didn't say anything. She seemed to be using him for leverage, and starting to push herself up. Yeah, he was pretty sure that was going to fail, but he waited anyway. "Ope," he exclaimed as the couch just sucked him toward her other arm until he bumped into it. Then she was losing balance. He started laughing before she even asked how bad it was. "Let's see... now I'm deeper in the couch, and you're basically a seat belt of sorts, stopping me from being able to move... meanwhile we lost your face in that hair," he said, trying to reach one of his hands around to lift some hair from her face so she could at least see out of one eye. "You still too prideful to try magic like normal people?" he smirked. finn kylie nottingham

@will Their previous conversation seemed moot at this point; the precarious position Finn seemed to have put them in was talking all of her mental and physical energy. Literally. The uneven squishiness of the couch made her feel like at any moment, her hands could sink further in and throw her off in a another wild direction. She may have saved herself this time, but there was no telling what the next could bring. Despite not being able to see anything through her hair, Will gave her a decent description on what had happened, and how he was fairing in it. She was apparently in a way that kept him from moving, which was wonderful because it felt like she couldn’t either. This was one messed up game of Twister they were playing. Finn felt his hand start to brush her hair away from one of her eyes, and she tried not to laugh as she finally saw everything before her. Laughing would mean falling for sure, and right now she wanted to take it all in. “There’s my knight in shining armor. How’s it going down there?” she teased, biting onto the corner of her lip as she stared at him for a few seconds, before breaking the eye contact to observe their predicament once again. “And yeah. I’ve put us in this weird tangled up situation, so that means we can get out without magic or die trying. I think.” Dying was a little extreme, but he would get the point. What was the worst that could happen anyways? She would fall on top of him, which currently seemed like it was going to happen not matter what, and then all she would have to do was roll off and onto the floor before giving him a hand up as well. It was that simple. “Any suggestions that don’t include magic, William?”

He felt her body tense against his, the parts that were touching now, and he was sure she was trying not to laugh. He didn't bother to hold any of his laughing or chuckling back during all of this. She called him her 'knight in shining armor' and he let one of those laughs out, shaking his head as she asked how it was going. "I'll live," he said, his non committal answer. They were looking at each other then, staring almost before she broke her eyes away to start assessing how to get out of this again. She mentioned they could 'die trying' and he laughed louder, causing the couch to move a little underneath him so he stopped his laughter short. In all reality, they could probably get up if they just tried but... there was something nice about being trapped on a couch with Finn Nottingham. She asked if he had any suggestions that didn't include magic and he rolled his eyes, "well, somebody is stubborn, aren't they?" he teased. "Uh..." he looked at how she was situated and then shrugged, "there's always letting the couch win," he said, before lifting both of his arms to wrap around her waist and just letting himself slide deep into the couch until he was laying on his side, and pulling her down with him so that she was leaning against him even more. "We could just die here," he added. finn kylie nottingham

@will Finn snorted, rolling her eyes in the process, as he said he would live. Obviously he would. She hadn’t put them in the worse position in the world, and there were plenty of ways to escape the clutches of the couch without making it more difficult than it already was. Will also didn’t seem like he would care if she used him as leverage to escape, or that he even minded they were in this position to begin with. Most of it was her fault to begin with anyway, so it was up to her to figure out a way to get out. Continuing to look at where her arms were and how she could possibly roll off or push her way to freedom, she stared back down at Will when he called her stubborn. “I like to call it New York charm. Get used to it,” she said with a grin. People over here were way calmer than back home. And polite too, almost sickly sweet at times. She preferred people who got to the point. Will seemed like he was one of those ones from their time spent together.
Raising an eyebrow at him as he said they could let the couch win, Finn wasn’t prepared for what came next. His hands were around her waist, a small gasp escaping from her as she was pulled closer to him, and further into the depths of the couch. If the position they were in before was considered close, then this was beyond intimate. The manner in which he had pulled her closer resulted with her forehead pressed against his collarbone, her arms now folded between the two of them, and face buried in his shirt. Finn wasn’t sure if the current catch in her breath was because of her lack of oxygen, or if it was because of Will. He said they could just die there, and all she managed to do was nod her head, currently a little lost for words.

She said that is was the "New York Charm" that made her stubborn and he laughed. as he pulled her closer, she didn't say anything more. But she nodded, so he stayed silent for a moment and kept his arms around her. He... liked being that close to her. Being close in general was nice, sure, but this was Finn and he liked Finn. Still, he knew that they really couldn't stay there forever and her lack of speaking made him unsure if she was okay with the whole situation, so he devised a plan before executing it. He lifting one of his arms to try and reach his jacket pocket, "okay, we're getting out of here," he said with another chuckle. He managed to find his wand and pulled it out, pointing it at Finn, "Wingardium Leviosa," he cast. finn kylie nottingham(short but I need to see what happens on your end ahah)

@will God it felt like they were in this position forever. She wasn’t opposed to it though, which was one of the reasons why her brain felt like it was about to go on an overload. Thinking of things that she had never thought of before when it came to being around Will. He broke the silence though, saying that they were going to get out of whatever this mess was. Hadn’t he been the one to just say that they were going to die in the couch though? She couldn’t put two and two together over the point of pulling her in further just to try and fix it. Because of that, her head wanted to ask him if he was sure of that, while her mouth had a mind of its own. “Okay,” she mumbled. One of his arms moved from her waist, and she could tell he was looking for his wand. That was the only other way they were going to escape, assuming he was going back to the plan using magic. A few seconds later, she spotted him pointing it at her, bracing herself for what came next.
The levitation charm brought her up into the air immediately, her hands, which had previously been between herself and Will, automatically reaching out to try and grab onto his shirt, because that was the closest thing to her. Having only been levitated a few times in her life, the rush of weightlessness came back. Each time this happened, she remembered that this was probably how her dog felt when she picked him up, all four legs scrambling for the floor beneath him. While it solved the problem at hand, it wasn’t exactly the most pleasant feeling to not be in control of her own body. “Was it really that bad?” she finally said, trying to tease him, and still only a few inches up in the air. “Not that I don’t mind being occasionally saved by a prince…”

As she levitated, she tried to grab onto him and he let her, pulling up with her and pushing off the couch once he had good leverage. He took both sides of her waist with his hands, the wand still in one of them. She asked if it was really that bad, and he chuckled, shaking his head as she still floated a little in front of him. "No not that bad," he ended the spell and slowly helped her lower to her feet on the ground, standing in front of him now. "I'm sure I'll be doing even more saving once we fight with the swords," he paused, laughed, then removed his hands from her waist to take her hand instead, "come on," he pulled her by the hand into the next room, where his fencing equipment was all lined up and he already had two suits prepared for when she got there. He released her hand and crossed to the swords on the wall, gesturing toward them, "these are the fencing swords, but those," he pointed across the room, "those are the real ones, so be careful if you want to get a closer look," he nodded toward them. He was sure she would be a worth adversary, even with no fencing training. He was definitely proved right during the rest of their afternoon together that Finn Nottingham was not to be messed with, and that she was one of a kind. finn kylie nottingham(the end, I guess XD)
