Daniel made his graceful exit and Katherine just wrinkled her nose at him and gave a bratty little wave. She turned back to Cray, her smile wide. "A drink sounds lovely. And thank the gods I found you," she said, moving forward to stand beside Cray and start walking toward the drinking table. "I can only hope I get in with the right crowd at a new school. My friends and I need some guidance," she glanced back to see Noel in the water and wondered where Ash and Bi had run off to, but she was with someone much, much more interesting now. "So, he called you 'Ice Queen'. It's not bad," she complimented with a chuckle. "He isn't very creative, I'm afraid," she sighed.
They reached the drink table and she noticed a girl walking away from her brother, who of course had a plate of cookies. She wrinkled her nose at that, turning back to her new companion, "which of the Hogwarts houses are you in?"

Jace smiled and nodded when Brooke admitted that she was glad she came. He was proud of her, even though he wasn't really too surprised. Sure, she was acting a little more reserved now than she normally did, but she was still Brooke and Brooke liked adventure and trying new things. The red-head, who introduced herself as Anna, asked where they were from. "Brooke and I are from Alaska," he answered, watching her and her boyfriend curiously. Would they even know what Alaska was? It was big enough that they might know ... but he wasn't really sure. He watched curiously as the other boy seemed nervous when someone in the water screamed. Jace turned to look, but didn't think anything was wrong. They were just playing in the water, weren't they? He turned his attention back to the guy in front of him, but Kaylee answered his question before Jace could. "Nice to meet you, Oscar," Jace said, not wanting to be rude, but also having no idea what to say to the guy. He say Kaylee's look and nodded, "Yeah, she's loud most of the time, but she can take care of herself." He hoped that would help, but glanced at Brooke for a second. She was better at being reassuring than he was. @brooke @annelise @oscar kaylee māhealani mahi'ai

While Sav was enjoying his drink and his success of keeping his title as the cool guy who spiked the punch at parties, two members of his own house had come up to him and took him up in conversation. Bri came first, she was a girl a few years beneath him who he always got along with fairly well. “Hey Bri. Yeah it’s been a fairly good summer.” Sav nodded as the girl tried some of the punch. He knew that the alcoholic drinks weren’t for everyone and a lot of people really dislikes the taste or the idea of drinking, which was why he didn’t spike every bowl, and people could work out for themselves what they wanted. The next to join them was Louis Weasley. Sav knew most of the Weasley family due to their parents having been friends when they were in school and afterwards. “We could always use good players.” Sav agreed with a nod when Louis asked if Sav had been trying to recruit the young girl. He hadn’t been, but he was hoping that he’d get a large group at tryouts in the fall. “It’s going to be a great season.” the Captain smirked to his keeper. He was glad to have Louis, he was an excellent player. “Want something to drink?” He offered to the Weasley boy, his famous smirk still plastered on his lips.

Right this way my dear party guest. Gilderoy smirked and lead her towards the beach house. The way that he said the words made her cringe a bit. She was sure he did that on purpose, though. Fiona allowed Gilderoy to lead her into the house and over to the tables that were laid out with food and drink. There were a few students around within the house, most of which she recognized, but a few that she didn’t. None of which, she figured, would recognize her anyway. Gilderoy admitted that he hadn’t made any of the food so it should all taste amazing and Fiona laughed. He always made her laugh. Even with his stupid jokes, she always appreciated them, maybe because her jokes were pretty stupid also, when she bothered to make jokes. He handed her a plate and then insisted that he was glad that she came. The Hufflepuff girl felt her cheeks go red. “Yeah - I’m glad I came too.” She nodded, not looking at him, feeling a weird tingly feeling in her chest. Anxiety? Maybe. But it didn’t feel like her normal anxiety symptoms. Fiona began to fill her plate, she was someone who could eat. She loved food. Most people did, but she wasn’t really shy about it. “So any of the American’s catch your eye?” she asked, making conversation since he had obviously been here longer than her.

Kisumi and Zeke waded in deeper, and the temperature evened out. She dipped her hands into the water further, and then ducked down to splash up at Ezekiel. Before he could return the favour, she dove beneath the water and surfaced a moment later. "I always thought the best trick to adjusting was to just get it over with," she said with a grin, pushing her now dripping hair out her face, and preparing for retaliation.

Before Zeke had been able to stop her, Kisumi had already dipped down underwater, splashed at him, and then bobbed down again so that he couldn’t splash her back. When she resurfaced, there was little point in splashing her; her hair was already dripping wet, but at least she’d done it to herself.
“I always thought the best trick to adjusting was to just get it over with,” Kisumi told him, and he had to agree with her there. The water was becoming more bearable, and, although they weren’t socializing with the majority of the others—seeing as everyone else was on dry land—Zeke felt that she might have had a larger point to her comment, too. They were all still adjusting to the change of being in Britain, though he was glad that the British kids seemed welcoming to them.
He would have to save his introductions for later, however. Getting back at Kisumi for splashing him was his first order of business, which he did gladly.
“The water’s not that cold!” he called out, informing the people who hadn’t even bothered to dip their feet in it. “Guess none of them know how to chicken fight,” he observed, tempted to pull his wand out if not for the fear of losing it in the water. What would it take for them to rope two more people into a game?
@kisumi Anyone wanna liven things up with a chicken fight?

Louis made a face at Brigh, but smiled all the same. "One day Bri we'll get you out of that comfort zone," he promised. He would be true to his word of course; Louis was a daredevil in every aspect of the word. He had to be, to want to be a Dragonologist one day like his Uncle Charlie. His burly uncle knew of course that Louis wanted to study dragons, and while he had warned the Gryffindor of the dangers involving dragons and their unpredictability, it had done little to sway Louis from his idea. "One of your drinks eh Sav?" he asked his Captain with a smirk, then shook his head. "No thanks mate, gonna go for a swim and I don't need any sea creature smelling that on me," he said with a playful nudge to his shoulder. He turned back towards Brigh. "What do you say, you afraid of water?" he asked. His girlfriend was, but in all fairness her fear came because water made her have visions, which was completely understandable. To his knowledge, Brigh was no Seer so she wouldn't have that exact same aversion. BRÍGH ENNIS O'DALAIGH @sav

Brígh waved her hand. Quidditch had never been her thing. She didn't fancy following a set of rules, even if Quidditch rules were somewhat lax. She preferred to do things her own way. "Perhaps not," she countered with a smirk. She did however enjoy watching the games and cheering from the stands. The swell of the boisterous crowd was infectious. She would go watch tryouts at least, see what sort of team would shape up for the coming year. Sav offered Louis a drink, reminding Bri that she had one of her own. She took another sip.
The topic of Quidditch didn't last much longer, but Bri looked around. She spotted a pale girl around her age near them, but Louis distracted her by offering a swim. Bri grinned hugely. This was why she had come. "The streets of my city were flooded when I was born. I was made for swimming," she said, her grin morphing into something much more mischievous. She knocked back the rest of her drink and nodded in thanks to Sav for making it a little extra special. "I heard your aunt Hermione has an otter patronus. Wonder if you can swim the same," said Bri, trotting off towards the waters edge.

Cookie boy talked about how all of the Americans were forced to come to another country and go to a different school, and she nodded sympathetically. At least with her situation her school wasn't destroyed along with her wand and her memories there. Theirs was a choice, albeit by her parents, but a choice none the less. Then he spoke about his sister possibly murdering an ex-boyfriend, and Nora raised an eyebrow. "Well I will leave you to it," she said with a nod. And his comment about her stealing his cookies she grinned mysteriously, "if that's not a euphemism I don't know what it is," she said confidently before she was long gone. Well not that long, just to the dessert table. Nora reached the table, grabbing a drink as two of the people started to break off. She offered Sav a wink, but followed the others, drink in hand. "I guess swimming is what people do at beach parties," She mused, still covered head-to-toe in her black Get Up, Hat and sunglasses. @louis @sav (I'm saying this is after they met haha) BRÍGH ENNIS O'DALAIGH bye @jacob

Kisumi laughed as Zeke splashed her back, half-wading half-running backwards out of the immediate danger zone. She didn't splash back - much - though, since fair was fair. But Zeke had an idea for how to make things a bit more entertaining, and it looked like chicken fights were international. "You know, I think they've cottoned on," she commented to Zeke as a few of the people by the punch bowl peeled off towards the water. She grinned as they approached and called out - "Hello! So glad you could join us."@ezekiel @louis BRÍGH ENNIS O'DALAIGH @nora

Louis removed his shirt and rushed down to the water without another comment; he expected Brigh and potentially Sav to just follow him in and no more needed to be said. He splashed into the water, yelling in a loud delight as the water hit him. "The waters' great!" he called out to those still on the beach, inviting them to come in. He knew if Georgie were here she'd probably rather stay as far away from the water as possible (with good reason) and he'd usually stay with her. He had grown up next to the sea though, so the water, cold as it was, felt great to him. He waded over to the people he didn't recognize and smiled. "Hello there! I'm Louis, going into my seventh year at Hogwarts," he introduced, then paused politely to see who they were and what they'd say back. Maybe they were a little bit weird for having gone in the water before anyone else, but Kisumi was right; it looked like some others had finally decided to join them in the water. One girl, Zeke noticed, was dressed completely in black from head to toe, which was definitely not something he saw everyday. Two others, a boy and a girl were coming, too, with the one boy as the first of the group to reach the water. Calling out to the others who had been with him that the water was great, he then moved over to where he and Kisumi were.
“Hello there! I'm Louis, going into my seventh year at Hogwarts.”
“Same, man. Seventh year,” Zeke answered Louis, happy to have met someone else who would be in his year at school, possibly even in his House. “Ezekiel Walker,” he added to introduce himself, “but everyone just calls me Zeke. Glad y’all decided to join us.”

Not unsurprisingly, Louis beat Brígh to the water. She chortled as she approached the edge, then looked back. A girl covered in all black clothing stood there, watching them with a half smile. Bri was drawn to her immediately. Her cool disdain for the party, particularly swimming. "Come on then, join the conformity of teenagers," said Bri, thinking immediately of Ari. That sounded like something he would have said. She wondered why he wasn't here. It would have been a great opportunity for taking pictures.
"What's it like in America? I've never been," Bri added, unnecessarily continuing her conversation with the girl in black. She glanced from the girl to the water, hoping that she could make a new friend and convince her to dive in. "I'm Brígh by the way," said Bri. Just then, the boy in the water said 'y'all.' She inhaled sharply. "I didn't realise people actually said 'y'all'" said Bri in awe. Maybe having all the new transfer students wouldn't be so bad.

“What’s it like in America? I’ve never been.”
Generalizing what America was like was a difficult task, Zeke thought, but that was the beauty of America, wasn’t it? The Irish girl could have asked any American there that same question, and Zeke guessed that she would have gotten a different response from every one of them. He heard the girl mention her name—Bri or Bree or something like that; he wasn’t sure of the spelling.
She was clearly Irish, though—what he would have considered to be about as stereotypically Irish as she could get, with bright red hair and freckles. Zeke had barely finished his thought when he realized the genuine shock that the girl was displaying. “I didn’t realize people actually said ‘y’all,’” she spoke.
Zeke grinned. “I’m from Georgia,” he told her, explaining his use of the word. Not everyone who was American said “y’all”, but it was hardly uncommon in the South. “I think it’d be weirder if I didn’t,” he added, and that was the truth.

A few more people had joined their small group and introduced themselves, Sav was a friendly guy and he loved getting to know new people, so the more the merrier was truly his thoughts on the situation, it was a reason that he loved parties so much and would never miss them. This was his year. He was the Gryffindor captain, he was a 7th year, finally on top, known by most and admired by some. He was going to make this year his year, he was going to be king of the castle, or at least, in his own, slightly egotistical head. And he wasn’t going to do that by not meeting the new people and making a good impression. Savtaj followed Louis to the water, he hadn’t been expecting to get in the ocean, given that the English coast wasn’t a warm place to be, but when did he ever let that stop him? He left his drink on the table and splashed into the ocean, feeling the sand beneath his feet as he ran towards the water. He might also have been showing off slightly, especially to the girl that he had met already, Nora. “You coming in?” he challenged, mostly to her, but to anyone else who was willing to accept his challenge also.
