L.J. had been trying to keep the invitation hidden for weeks and now that the day of the beach party was finally here he was beginning to think his patents would never leave. A summer break on house arrest was bad enough but knowing everyone was going to be at the event, even the American exchange students who had come early, was even worse. L.J. hated the thought of being left out but if he had to miss this chance to actually get out of the house and have some fun for a bit he thought he was going to go insane.
Finally though it seemed like his luck was about to change. His mom and dad headed out the door on a date or something and no sooner had the door closed behind them than L.J. threw on some swim trunks, grabbed some floo powder and headed for freedom.
Once he arrived at the beach house he could see the party was already well under way. “Well better late than never...” He mumbled to himself as he spotted a group of kids out around the beach some of whom he knew and others he didn’t. Putting on a grin he stepped out onto the sands and made his way towards the water. “Oi! Hope you guys didn’t decide to have all the fun without me.”
@all the beach crowd cause he needs to interact with some folks xD

Katherine had moved on from Daniel, her ex, with her new friend Crayla. Well, acquaintance. Soon she saw another fun looking victim, a blonde boy she didn't recognize. Probably British/ Yuck. He was near enough that it made sense to talk to him, though, as he was arriving late. "Oh, we've had plenty of fun. Who are you to say we can't have it without you?" her American, New York accent came out strong and harsh as she spoke, as it often did when she spoke to one of those British people.

L.J. didn’t recognize the first person to greet him. A girl, a Yank by her accent and apparently not very happy to see him for some reason. He had no clue why as he had just arrived but supposed you couldn’t please everyone. “Well by the sound of it I might be the bloody prince of England for all you know.” He responded with a chuckle before making his way over towards the girls if only to get a drink before heading into the water. He didn’t really mind the Katherine's attitude if that's what it even was. She could think whatever she wanted about him but who said he couldn’t have a little fun of his own while they were at it? Leaning against the drinking table he nodded to Crayla who was at least one familiar face from school and glanced over at the girl that had first spoken to him. “Right then. So did I kick your pet or something when got here or is it normal to be saltier than an Atlantic Kelpie when you first meet someone? I've been in solitary confinement the past few weeks so I may be a little behind the latest trends."

He said he could be the Prince for all she knew and she rolled her eyes. There was nothing worse than a brit, except maybe British royalty. She hoped he was a prince, maybe then she could give him a piece of his mind about his stupid country. But no, no, he just went on to ask if she was always this salty, which was something most weren't brave enough to do. "Clearly you've never met a New Yorker," she said, giving another eye roll. "And for all I know you arethe prince." She scoffed, uninterested in this kid.

OOC: Alas like all great things the Gilderoy summer beach party must come to an end. It's with high hopes and deep wishes that everyone who attended had a wonderful time and anyone who missed out was jealous that they had.
The Award for V.I.P (Very Important Party-goer) goes to someone I feel deserves it the most. Someone who showed willingness to have fun and make it an all around good time. None other than me! Gilderoy Lockhart Jr. I graciously accept this title and say to everyone who came. You're welcome for such an amazing party.
-Love Gilderoy.
