-Takes place in the middle of IC June in Germany-
The Bremerhaven hospital had an unusual case. A Jane Doe to be exact. Unconscious. Severely injured. No identification. As the story went one of the ferries heading to Helgoland had spotted her in the water, and amazingly she was still alive. How she’d gotten there, who she was, or what had caused her injuries was a mystery.
The unconscious Jane Doe was finally moved out of the intensive care unit once she’d healed up enough that her life wasn’t in critical danger but she still wasn’t in good shape. Shed only regained consciousness for flickering moments, never enough to be useful in anyway in helping identify her. So, the hospital went to the media. Spreading the story and her physical description in hopes that someone that might know her would show up. A few did, in hopes that she might be one of their missing loved ones but there was no luck. No one that actually knew this girl had shown up yet...
And thus she remained lost, waiting to be found.
@daniel (As we all know she wasn’t actually at thdie hospital for a whole month. Elaine or Elaine’s goons used memory charms to make all the hospital staff think it, recreated Maria’s injuries, and dumped her at the hospital.)

Freddie had impaled himself.
Big surprise there. He was an idiot, sometimes. Daniel loved him, of course, since he was married to Louisa and all -- but that didn't change the fact that he was an idiot. He was running toward Louisa after a concert at some fancy manor or castle or something and tripped and impaled himself on a decorative sword. Daniel had rolled his eyes, a lot, when he was called about it. Sadly, it was at a muggle event so he was rushed to a muggle hospital. So, Daniel apparated over.
He greeted his sister and Freddie and rolled his eyes, a lot. A lot. He was happy to see Louisa, though, and once Freddie was stable he pulled his sister aside to tell her all about Irina. Kissing her, seeing her, telling her he still loved her, all of that. Louisa was happy for him, and calm as ever, a breath of fresh air. She was oddly calm about Freddie getting impaled... but she must have been used to Freddie doing stupid things.
He and Louisa were walking back to Freddies room when he saw a picture on the bulletin board. A Jane Doe, someone who needed an identifier. He stepped closer, holding his finger up to Louisa as he looked at those eyes in the picture. "Maria," he whispered, eyes widening. He ran to the desk, "that Jane Doe - uh - the young brunette girl, there," he pointed back at the board, "I know her, I know her," he was talking incredibly fast, his blood pounding in his ears, "where is she?" Maria, one of his best friends, not dead. Not dead.

(Haha, this is gunna be fun. Playing Louisa momentarily.)
Louisa often wondered how she'd gotten herself into this sort of situation. And by situation, she meant being in love and married to a man such as Freddie. It took talent to accomplish most of his feats... or stupidity. So here she was, maintaining her composure as much as usual as a muggle doctor patched up her husband from his most recent plunder when her younger brother arrived. Even though she couldn't read emotions she knew Daniel well enough to know he was equally thinking about Freddie's stupid feat. Thankfully the man would be fine though, so there was no use for either of them to fret, something that unnerved a few of the nurses. Most wives would be quite worried if their husbands were in this situation, but Louisa didn't even bat an eye. It was probably equally shocking to them when she and her younger brother so casually left the room. She didn't get to see her brother too often, so having him fill her in on how life back in England was treating him was a welcome treat.
On their way back to the room though something caught her brother's eye and he stopped, Louisa followed suit, spotting what had caught his eye. A picture of a patient the hospital was trying to identify. Soon he was off again, this time to one of the desks and trying to communicate with one of the nurses in a far to fast pace. Smiling just a little and shaking her head she stepped up to the desk as the nurse started to ask "Come again?", not having caught much of what the boy had said. With a much more composed tone of voice Louisa spoke up in German. "I'm sorry for the intrusion. My brother is able to identify the patient in that photo. Who can we speak to about that?" There it was, her way of somehow bringing order to chaos. Or in this case, calm to her brother's raging emotions. It worked too, because in no time at all the nurse had called one of the hospital's higher ups and with the aid of the Nurse's superior they'd arranged to let Daniel see the Jane Doe. Much of the details arranged by Louisa, if only because of her (recent) expertise in hospital visits. "Daniel, take it slow. According to the doctors she's still being heavily sedated for her injuries. She might not respond the way you expect." If at all. Drugs did that to a person sometimes. "I'll be out here, if you need me." Louisa didn't want to intrude on her brother during this moment. The last thing he needed was unnecessary emotions in that room right now.

The nurse was confused and Daniel felt his blood heat up, but then Louisa was there and her calm rushed over him. He breathed, turning away from the nurse at the desk to look back at thr picture. He still felt panicked, so he reached a hand out to gently touch Louisas arm. He immediately felt calmer, and his hand wrapped around her elbow. He took in deep breaths. He didnt listen as Louisa worked out the details. He just breathed slowly and kept his eyes on Maria's photo, but didn't leave Louisas side, or release her.
Then, Louisa spoke and he turned toward her, the rims of his eyes already stamped red from the crying he didn't realise he had been doing. He nodded ay her words. She was right. He needed to calm down. Maria needed someone calm. Especially if she was sedated and confused and hurt. Louisa said she'd be right outside and he nodded, but didn't speak. He finally released he and caught a sharp breath as her calm left him... Then he stepped into the room.

Maria wasn’t really conscious, but wasn’t unconscious either. IT was some strange inbetween. Where she had some semblance of awareness but sometimes it seemed to blur together or just faded away. She knew she was in some sort of hospital… At least she assumed from the coming and going of people in mugle scrubs, strange blurry machinery and an annoyingly constant beeping. Whatever they were giving her made it difficult to focus and understand fully just what was happening around her. During one of those moments of somewhat awareness though, the door opened. She was used to that. People coming and going. But this person was different. They weren’t in those colorfully annoying scrubs. Who was this? They seemed familiar, but it was hard to get her vision to focus with them so far away. Drugs, again.
Then, finally. Something focused. Curly hair. Maria felt a flicker of recognition despite her sedated state. She knew those dark locks. Was it though? Maria wanted to reach out and say something, but her body was heavy and sluggish. THe most response she got was a twitch of her fingers. Daniel. Daniel Hoh. It had to be.

Even though she wasn't entirely conscious, her emotions were clear. For the most part they weren't anything intense, like the usual Maria. He stepped in further, closing the door behind him as something in her emotions spiked. She knew who he was, or was trying to. She wanted something. Her fingers moved, and then he rushed forward, practically falling into the chair beside the bed and taking her hand in both of his. "Maria, it's Dan," he said, squeezing it tightly. "Open your eyes?" he begged. His voice cracked, and he was getting really tired of all the crying he had been doing lately. He felt like he was emotionally unstable, but stable at the same time. Like he was allowed to cry... which was new for him.

He was moving to fast for her to follow in her drugged up state, but she vaguely felt a warm pressure on her hand. That had to be him, right? Ugh, painkillers. Why did they have to leave you so foggy? But then he was speaking and it took a moment to understand, the words sounding muffled and distorted. But it had to be him... Or did it? She wasn't actually positive, but she hoped it was. And if she was understanding those groggy words correctly he had said it was him.. Who knew. Maria just squeezed his hands back, weakly, but just enough to be recognizable. So he'd know that she heard him, and that she recognized him (hopefully) as her friend.
But why was he here? Better yet, where was 'here'? She'd been in and out of consciousness for a while, so she wasn't actually sure where she was, or how long she'd been here. But this was the first time she'd actually recognized someone. So maybe... Maybe things were looking up?
@daniel (haha, we can end this at anytime.)

It didn't take long for Dan to get the nurses and doctors the information they needed to trust that Dan knew her and get permission to take her home. He faked calling her grandparents, though, thankfully he was able to convince the people at the Hospital that Maria needed to go with him. From that moment she squeezed his hands he knew that he had to take her home with him. After checking on Freddie one last time and saying goodbye to Louisa, he headed back to England with Maria in tow, back to his little apartment where he'd hopefully be able to help her through this...
