The brunette began to pick at her nails, or rather at the polish that barely had anything left upon her nails. Whenever she felt bad, was nervous, or bored was when this happened. And while it wasn’t the latter two, she did feel bad for bringing up something that seemed to make him a little hesitant. She smiled slightly as the young man said that she didn’t need to be sorry, that she had no reason to feel like she did anything wrong, and rather place it as it was surprising to him because he hadn’t talked about it. She nodded her head, “Well as long as you say it’s fine,” she said in a breathless voice. Bianca’s emotions changed quickly as Brandon said there was a bond, and her eyes lit up, “Great! We should check around it, maybe around the trees as well,” she breathed out with a smile on her face as she began walking behind him, butterflies filling her being as he tugged her in the direction of him. It wasn’t long before the pond that he believed to be in the park came into view, and she quickly shrugged her shoulders. “I think either is fine, but if we want to find the first clue before the sun goes down and we have no time to find the others, maybe the latter is a better idea,” she said with a small giggle leaving her lips.

Brandon smiled and nodded when she finally answered, trying to be encouraging. He didn't want their entire date to be awkward just because she asked an entirely natural question. He didn't think it would be ruined, of course, but he was nervous that she would think it was and he really just wanted her to have fun. He grinned when he noticed how excited she got about the pond. Perfect distraction from the previous conversation. "Oh good idea! I didn't even think to check around the trees," he admitted easily. He pursed his lips as she said she was fine with either idea and then made a decision. "Okay ... well then let's split up for a few minutes and see what we can find. If we can't find anything in five minutes, then we come back together and look for it. How does that sound?" He waited just a moment for her response before Brandon started searching for the clue ... or whatever it was they were looking for. "How about you start with the trees and I'll look near the pond?" That was only fair, since the trees were her idea in the first place. After a few minutes he looked up from the pond, eyes scanning the trees for her. "Hey Bianca, have you found anything yet?" he called, somewhat softly. He didn't want everyone in the vicinity to hear him, but he wanted to make sure she did. Bianca’s grin widened as he commented on her idea, and was glad that she had thought about the trees. She was trying to impress him after all, a part of her wanting something to come of this little blind date. In her eyes, it was going exceptionally well besides the little hiccup about the attack on the schools, but she hoped and prayed he felt the same way. She nodded her head, “That sounds like a great idea, five minutes before coming back together,” she said with a smile and another nod of her head. It was then that he said that she could start with the trees while he looked by the pond, “I’m fine with that, just promise not to fall in,” she said jokingly with a smile before disappearing towards the trees. The trees were tall and loomed above her, making her look high and low. When she looked up this date on the internet, she had read somewhere that it said it could be anywhere. She pushed past bushes and looked high in the limbs of the trees. It was then that she saw something up high, looking like a small box. Slowly she began to try to climb the tree, and just as she made it to the limb and grabbed the box, she heard the sound of Brandon calling out to her. “I’m up here,” she called down, trying to catch his attention. “I think so, here catch!” she called out as she threw the small, but somewhat heavy, box down towards him before slowly going back down. Sadly, for her, she wasn’t careful enough and slipped on a limb of the tree and started falling backward, only having time to gasp and close her eyes as she fell towards the ground.

She looked excited and happy about what they were doing and Brandon was glad. He wanted her to have a good time on their date, and was pretty sure that she was. So it was a success. He nodded when she agreed to his idea. "Five minutes," he repeated, laughing when she teased him about not falling in. "You mean you won't jump in to save me if I do?" he teased, calling a little more loudly to make sure she heard him. Honestly, there wasn't much to search along the bank of the pond. There were a few places where the grass was taller than normal, but other than that it was obviously not here. So when he called to her and she said that she was "here", Brandon started moving toward the sound of her voice. It came from higher up, so he assumed she'd climbed a tree or something. He smiled when he spotted her. Then she was tossing something down to him. Brandon did not catch it. Nope, not at all, but luckily he didn't think she was watching that. He picked it up off the ground and put it in his pocket, looking up just in time to see her falling. Hopefully he was better at catching her than the box. He moved forward and almost stunned himself when he actually did catch Bianca. He grinned at her, extremely proud of himself, when he lost his balance and fell backward, landing on his back with her on top of him. So much for succeeding in catching her. "I'm ... sorry," he wheezed, having lost his breath from the fall. Bianca Alia Rivera

Bianca found herself laughing, nodding her head, “Five minutes, I got it…don't worry,” she said before letting out another laugh as she walked away. Glancing behind her and walking backward, “Of course I’d save you if you promise to save me if some creature tries to eat me!” she called in an amused teasing voice as she disappeared into the woods. By the time, she disappeared into the woods, climbed a tree and found a little box looking thing; she was stuck. Trapped almost, but at least the five minutes had passed, or maybe it hadn’t yet. But luckily, he had appeared in the woods looking for her, and luckily he was there when she fell from the tree. She wasn’t sure if he was going to catch her, or even the box that she had thrown, but when she felt his arms cradle her, she almost laughed. Of course, his grinning face helped, but then the unthinkable happened. He lost his balance and fell backward, causing her to let out a startled cry before she landed on top of him. Their faces were inches apart, their eyes meeting as he wheezed out an apology. She breathed out, “Oh my gosh, are you okay?” she questioned as she scrambled to her feet, holding her hand out. Internally she was screaming, why the hell hadn’t she taken that moment to kiss him?

Brandon laughed when Bianca said that she'd save him if he saved her. If they were still walking together, he'd probably tease her and say that he wasn't sure if he was willing to risk getting eaten himself, but considering the fact that they were both headed in opposite directions he let it die there. Then she was on top of him. Man, why couldn't Brandon have caught her like basically any guy his age would have done? At least he didn't drop her. Falling over was definitely better than that. It was still pretty embarrassing though. She rose to her feet, asking if he was ok and Brandon pushed himself so he was leaning back on his elbows. "Yeah, I'm fine. You're not hurt or anything, are you?" That would be just his luck, to hurt someone on a first date. Then he noticed her hand in front of his face and he reached for it, allowing her to help him to his feet. He still felt a little embarrassed. Brandon pulled the box out of his pocket to distract both of them. "You ready to see what's inside?" his expression turned mischievous as he looked to her and lifted an eyebrow curiously. The moment she pulled away, she regretted it. Why hadn’t she planted a kiss on him at that moment? Stupid, stupid, stupid, she thought to herself as she took a deep breath. She nodded her head, “Yeah—yeah, I’m fine, would have been worse if you hadn’t caught me,” she breathed out with a small smile on her lips. Her hand just sat between them for a few seconds, a bit awkward at first, before he finally took it and allowed her to pull him to his feet. “Yes! Let’s do this,” she breathed out with her excitement and mischievous feeling within her. She wanted to see what she fell out of a tree for.

Brandon couldn't help but feel relieved when Bianca said she was just fine. At least he hadn't ruined things. He could tell by her smile that she wasn't actually mad at him and he was extremely relieved by it. He really didn't want to mess with things. "I'm glad I caught you too," he told her with a smile. Once he was standing, he pulled the box out of his pocket and put it in between them. He opened his box, but before looking inside, he looked up at Bianca and held it out to her. "Here, you look first. It's the least I can do for dropping you." He smiled, having absolutely no idea what would be inside, but wanting to let her have the first look. Bianca Alia Rivera

She smiled, butterflies filling her being as he smiled too. She had simply just met the guy, and already she had a schoolgirl crush, what the hell? But he was attractive, she couldn’t deny that, and he was extremely nice. She smiled at him and watched as he opened the box, but didn’t look inside, instead of holding it out for her to look. She smiled, “You sure?” she questioned before peering into the box. She wasn’t about to say no to him, especially if he was offering. Taking the box so she could have a closer look, she frowned before putting her fingers inside the box and pulling out what looked like a ring, she frowned, flipping it over and realizing it was a ring with a diamond attached, and it looked in bad shape. “Is this—please tell me this isn’t someone’s lost engagement ring,” she breathed out as she let him have a look at it.

Brandon nodded firmly when she asked if he was sure that she should look first. It probably didn't matter, but he was trying to be a gentleman and he was also trying to help her have a good time on their date. She looked inside and frowned. Brandon watched her face curiously as she reached in. That was a strange thing, for her to be frowning. Was it something disgusting? He doubted it. Then she pulled out a ring and his eyes widened as he stared. It definitely looked like an engagement ring. She held it out so he could look at it and Brandon scrunched up his nose. "I don't think it was lost," he said after a moment. "From what I read, this thing is where people put things. Like, that's how it works. You take something and put something else in. So ... maybe this person didn't want the ring anymore?" He shrugged as he looked away. "Do you want it? We can put something else inside if you do, or we can just leave it there." Brandon actually had no idea what she would want. Bianca Alia Rivera

She frowned as he spoke about it not being lost, that someone put it there on purpose. She frowned deeper as he questioned if she wanted it, “It had some value to someone…I don’t have the heart to take it,” she breathed out shaking her head as she placed it back into the box from which it came from. “Let’s leave it for someone else to find,” she started before looking at Brandon, “From what you read…do we hide it someplace new or back in the same spot?” she questioned. She did a bit of research on what they were doing today, but not much. She prayed that he knew what to do since he knew about the whole leaving something for someone else to find that she didn’t.
@brandon if you want, we could sort of end it and just say they spent the rest of the day together or continue on, whichever you prefer! <3

Brandon nodded when she said that she didn't want to take it because it meant something to someone. That was very sweet of her. She closed the box and he reached to take it from her. "Sounds like a good idea to me," he answered. He didn't mind leaving it there. In fact, leaving it was kind of a relief. He didn't know what else he'd put in the box if they took that out. He hadn't thought that far ahead. "Umm, I think we're supposed to put it back in the same spot," he told her. "Don't worry, I'll take a turn climbing the tree," he winked at her and clambered up the tree, putting it back where he thought he saw her get it from. "So, I was thinking we could go for some ice cream, if you don't mind?" Brandon suggested when he reached the ground once more. Bianca didn't seem to mind that, so they went to a nearby ice cream shop and talked for about an hour before parting ways. All in all, he was glad that he'd signed up for the blind date. It was nice to meet a new person and Bianca seemed very nice. --- the end --- Bianca Alia Rivera
