Kai said it was all about how you felt and that in the end you had to have guts to make small talk with strangers. It was nerve racking, for certain, not knowing how a conversation would go. "I guess that makes sense," she said with a short nod. She still wasn't particularly into talking to strangers. Though, it had paid off for her in the past. He laughed as he mentioned him being under cover, saying that he didn't think he'd have any friends if he showed just how weird he could be. Andy shrugged, "some people like weird," she commented. In all honesty, his outgoing tactic he had showed just today when they met was one of the only ways she would have been able to be friends with him in the first place, though, so maybe the act was useful. Kai suggested that Andy could show him the difference of the instruments and the music one day and she smiled a little too. but didn't respond verbally. He said she must have been one of those 'refined' families and she grimaced a little, just a tiny bit, before letting it go aside. "Good for him. I love a good success story," she said, her smile returning. Kai said he could play Mozart on the piano and she laughed a little, "hard to forget the songs drilled into you from day one," she agreed. He asked what was ingrained in her head like that. "Some Brahms and Chopin, I'd say, but my parents weren't big fans of..." she paused, then leaned forward to lower her voice, "muggles. So they preferred magical musicians, like Cartiere," she explained. @finn (ade up some magic musician XD)

Malakai nodded, he had heard of Cartiere of course as his stepfather was a huge fan of his music. His mother however, was insistent on introducing all classical composers, regardless of their blood status, and his stepfather always wanted to make his mother happy. It wasn’t in a bad way though; his stepfather of course didn’t give into every whim of his mothers, otherwise they’d probably be living on a mountaintop somewhere, so she’d be closer to the stars. He was a realist while she was a dreamer, but it balanced them out in the end because they believed in supporting each other. Malakai wasn’t anywhere near ready to marry, or even have that serious of a relationship of course, but as he grew older, he realized he wanted something like his parent’s marriage. A marriage of equals, that was what was important to him. The musician ended his piece, and Kai drained his beer. “Onto the next loop?” he suggested, jerking his head out the door. “Or have you gotten tired out yet?” he added, bringing back the teasing lilt to his voice. He could tell that Andy had had quite the different upbringing than he had, even though technically, his mother and stepfather were both purebloods. They were more than tolerant of Muggles; both had plenty of Muggle friends, and Kai’s birth father had been a Muggle. It was crazy how different lives could get due to how their parents felt about their bloodlines. “Do you have siblings?” he asked her out of curiosity. He had been an only child until he was into his Hogwarts schooling, when his mother had given birth to his twin sisters. He wondered just how different, or alike, he and Andy were. @lestrange we can probably wrap up whenever

He asked if she was up for another loop, or if she'd gotten tired. She scoffed, moving to stand, "I think we can run a little longer. Unless YOU'RE tired?" she challenged. She was happy to face off with him, that was what running friends did, right? Pushed each other? She was glad just to have a little competition, friendly or non friendly. He asked if she had any siblings and she nodded. "Two older," she explained as they headed back out the door. "The unwanted third child," she pointed at herself with both thumbs. "Aren't you lucky? Come on," she whacked him arm with the back of her hand and started the run again. This could turn into a lovely tradition. @kai (the end)
