Jess didn't understand what was going on. She wasn't entirely sure there was any way for her to understand. Fin asked her to meet him at the club. Fin came late and then got mad at her for being there. What was going on with him? Even feeling so confused by him, she didn't fight him when he angrily told her to come on and grabbed her hand before leading her out. She just followed him quietly, maybe leaning on him a little more than she wanted to. Why did she feel so tipsy? Did giggle water really have that much effect on her? Once they were outside, Fin apparated them to her apartment and Jess unlocked the door and opened it, walking in and tugging on his hand to encourage him to follow. She knew that if he didn't want to, there was no way she could make him come in, but she did want to talk to him, even though she didn't know if he would come in.

They were inside safely now, thank goodness, and he was still annoyed. He drank occasionally, sure, but his father was an alcoholic and Jess was clearly a lightweight and that club was trashy, even if he spent a lot of time there, that didn't mean Jess should, and she wasn't safe there, not with those people. He was grateful for Aerick being there, as he always was, and even more grateful for the warning about Elaine. Fin would have to deal with this later. He knew that. He knew that Jess wasn't what Elaine wanted for him. That she wasn't anywhere close to what Elaine was okay with... that Elaine probably even wanted to kill her. But he loved Jess Dupont. He always had and... now he was just getting carried away. He let her lead him in, of course, and sighed dramatically, looking down at their clasped hands. "I'm sorry I got so mad I... just don't like you being... without me. There. I guess," well, if that didn't sound possessive than nothing did. @jessavette

Fin followed her into her apartment, which was a relief to her. At least he wasn't angry enough that he would just leave. That was a good thing, wasn't it? He sighed and Jess chanced a glance up at his face. He wasn't looking at her, which made it easier, but he looked more sad than angry now. She didn't understand.
He said he didn't like here there without him and Jess' spirits lifted slightly. That meant that he at least wanted to be with her, didn't it? Still, his anger didn't make sense and her eyebrows furrowed as she continued to look up at him in confusion. "Then why didn't you come get me instead of asking me to meet you there? And why didn't you arrive on time?" She still didn't know what time it was, but he had to have come late. It felt much later than 10:00 right now.

Her voice was laced with hurt, but he still didn't look up right away. She asked why he didn't come to get her, instead of asking her to meet him there and his brow furrowed in confusion. He looked up at her. On time? "When did I... ask you to meet me?" he asked. But, then he realized, he wasn't the one who had asked her. Someone else must have. "Oh, oh. Can I... see the letter?" Please be a letter and not someone using the polyjuice potion. There was more than one reason why he kept his hair cropped so short, and that was one of them. Being one of Elaine's main people, it was not wise to make it easy for people to copy him. Unless... the person who was using him was Elaine. He wouldn't be surprised, in all honesty. Maybe Elaine just wanted to get to know his girlfriend... or maybe Elaine wanted to do something worse to her tonight. He was in trouble. @jessavette

Fin was frowning. That wasn't a surprise, considering the fact that he brought her home because he was upset with her for some reason or another. He wasn't looking at Jess though, which wasn't reassuring either. When he finally did look up, he seemed confused. When did he ask her to meet him? What was he talking about? Jess opened her mouth to answer him, but he was already talking again, asking to see the letter. Why did he want to see it? Jess looked at him curiously for a moment before nodding her head slowly. "Sure." She pulled out her wand and summoned the letter, glancing at it before holding it out for her boyfriend. It was a simple letter. All it said was: "I want to do something fun with you tonight. Meet me at Club Indigo at 10 for a night to remember. See you soon." Jess watched him, curious to see his reaction. Didn't he already know what it said? "Fin, what's going on?" Jess asked in a soft voice. He wasn't behaving like the guy she knew.

She summoned the letter and handed it to him. He took a step back from her before opening it to read. The words seemed to sting his eyes. It was his handwriting. It was... something he could say, aside from wanting her to meet at the Club. But she wouldn't know that. A night to remember? Okay, that was cheesy, but if he was really wanting to spend the night with her he may have actually said it. She asked what was going on and he shook his head. Then he pocketed the letter and lifted his eyes to hers. He smiled softly, "I know what happened," he lied, feigning a chuckle and stepping forward to put his arm around her shoulders, "I meant to send this on Friday night. Tomorrow. I just got my days mixed up because I was too excited," he said. That was... a good cover, even though he still would never have invited her to that club. "And I was a bit jealous, just because Aerick is... a really cool guy," he wasn't jealous, not at all, but that could explain it a little more. Hopefully her mind was addled by the giggle water enough that she wouldn't remember details tomorrow. "Come on, you should have some tea. And hey," he lifted his finger to her chin to turn her face toward his, "I'm sorry for freaking out."@jessavette

Jess watched him as he read the note. His expression gave nothing away, but he scanned it intently and she was still confused. Why did he need to read the letter? He wrote it and sent it to her, shouldn't he know what it said. After a moment, he smiled, putting it away as he looked at her. He wasn't angry anymore. At least, it didn't seem like he was when he wrapped an arm around her. He explained what happened and Jess sighed, relieved. He didn't forget about asking her to meet him. It was an honest mistake. She wrapped an arm around his waist in return, shaking her head when he said he was jealous. "You don't need to be jealous of anyone where I'm concerned. I'm dating you because I want to be with you, not anyone else," she was looking down, a little embarrassed about confessing that to him. Hopefully he wouldn't think she was being too cheesy. She nodded when he mentioned having tea and sighed again when he lifted her face so she looked at him. He apologized. "How sorry are you?" Jess smirked, wanting to enjoy at least some of her time with Fin tonight.

She said he didn't need to be jealous, wrapping her own arm around his waist too which sent a jolt of electricity through his spine. Heavens above. he loved her. He couldn't stop. Even with all this added level of danger, he could not stop. She said she wanted to be with him and no one else and he nodded, his brow furrowing a little. He knew that was true, but the jealous act had to be played for her protection now. Then, when he lifted her chin toward his face, she asked how sorry he was, a hint of her usual teasing brushing at the words. Fin smirked a little, even though his insides were sick with worry, he couldn't let Jess see that and, well, she earned a smile with that little comment. "So sorry that I guess I'll have to work very hard to make it up to you," he whispered, leaning down to gently brush her lips with his, not fully putting pressure on them. His grip around her waist tightened and he pulled her body against his, "very, very sorry," he added again, moving his lips to kiss her jaw, her neck, the top of her ear, her cheek and, finally, her lips. "Forgive me?" he muttered against them. @jessavette

He was coming back to her. Despite the fact that she was still finding it a little hard to focus, Jess did notice that Fin was calming down, holding her more closely and even smiling a little when she teased him. Good. At least he wasn't so upset that he wouldn't be able to calm down. That would be a tragedy. Her eyes lit up when he said he'd work hard to make it up to her. He barely kissed her and Jess gave a slight moan in disappointment, until she noticed that he wasn't really pulling away yet. He pulled her closer and was kissing her almost everywhere but her lips. Then, when his lips finally met hers he asked if she'd forgive him. "Always," she muttered back before she started to kiss him back. She loved him. She didn't care that someone was telling her to stay away, she couldn't. Fin was everything to her.
She didn't know how long they kissed before she started to feel a little dizzy. "Fin," she said with a smile, though she closed her eyes to stop the room from spinning. "The room won't stay still," she admitted with a soft laugh. He would understand what she meant, she was sure.

She was clearly still drink, but it was nice to have that one kiss before he carried her to her bed. Once there, he got her all tucked in and went back to the living room where he pulled the letter forged in his writing out of his pocket. He sat on a kitchen chair and stared at it, rubbing his temple with one hand. Was he really going to risk Jess's life just because he loved her? Was that worth it to him? Or... would he leave Elaine?
