Vic and Walter both needed some fresh air, so she asked Eleanor to get her puppers and meet them at the Dog Park. It was a muggle dog park but it was the closest one to Diagon Alley, so magical people frequented. Walter was four years old now and generally kind to other dogs. Some days he would just hide under the bench with Vic instead of playing, like the needy little biscuit he was. Vic was feeling good today. It was close to one in the afternoon, and she had spent her morning reading and drinking tea. She didn't feel the need to do anything... Extra. She felt normal. Like things were actually okay. That feeling only increased when she got to the dog park. Dogs had that affect. They were like fluffy balls of endorphins. @eleanor & dog people/owners Ooc note: This is in character. All dog parks have the "no dogs without humans, no humans without dogs" rule. If you don't have a dog, you have to come with someone who does. no crashing the dog park. That includes you dog boys, make your girls or someone bring you. Or bring a dog. Rules are the same as the beach and dance parties - post whenever and tag who you're talking to! post a gif or pic that represents your dog!

Eleanor was excited to go to the dog park with Victoire. She hadn’t caught up with her friend in a few months since she had left the Ministry and she was simply bursting with questions about what had happened. It was a beautiful, cloudless day and Elle stopped in the doorframe, closing her eyes and breathing in deeply. It was still lilac season and the scent of the flower tickled her nose. A small, impatient whine came from down low, and Elle opened her eyes and smiled at her miniature husky Blair. “It’s okay B we’re going to see Walter,” she said, reaching down to stroke her dogs’ ears. Blair yipped excitedly as they set off down the street. Elle was all about letting people pet her dog as long as they were careful around her face and didn’t manhandle her baby. Then they’d have to deal with both Blair AND Elle. She opened the gate to the dog park and Blair started running frantically towards Walter, excited to see her friend. “Easy there B,” she said with a laugh. She closed the gate securely and unhooked the leash from Blair’s collar. With a happy bark, her dog ran off to play with the others. Eleanor shook her head with a smile and went over to Victoire. Or, who she thought was Vic; her friend was quite thinner than the last time she had seen her, and there was something...different about her. “Hey Vic!” she said brightly, giving the girl a hug before sitting on a bench to watch their dogs play. “How are you?” she asked, looking at her friend expectantly. @victoire open to anyone else obvs!

It wasn’t the playground at which they had met the last time they had hung out with one another, but it had been too long since Maxima had spent time with Quinn, and she knew that the Ravenclaw didn’t have too many people with whom she could spend time. Her mother was the one who had suggested that they come to the dog park; apparently, she had seen it one day while going between the Ministry and the Leaky Cauldron. Since they had two dogs, the both of them could go and spend time there while Barney and Bella could socialize with other dogs.
With Bella on the leash that she was holding, Max approached the entrance to the dog park. The younger of their two Yorkshire Terriers was eager to go in, but Max turned to Quinn when she realized that she recognized one of the dog owners who was already there.
“Isn’t that Victoire Weasley?” she voiced aloud, opening the gate into the park and walking in with Bella. She cautiously watched to make sure that no dogs would be able to escape from the park as she continued to hold the gate ajar. “Once we’ve shut the gate again, we can let them off their leads,” she explained to Quinn.

Quinn had been surprised at first when Max let her know about this, but she wasn't one to ignore an offer to get to hang out with her friend - and also dogs, she adored dogs even if she had never had one of her own - so Max offering to basically share her dogs for the day. It was something she certainly wasn't going to reject. So she met up and happily greeted Max's dogs, she instantly fell in love with the two dogs her friend owned and happily kept up with Max, glancing away from Bella and Barney when she heard the question. Looking up she gave a small nod, recognizing the girl slightly, "I think it is." she spoke quietly as she darted inside, offering a quick grin as she nodded. "Sure, fine with me - they already seem pretty eager to run around." She wondered briefly if it'd be weird to offer to play with the dogs like she had often seen at Muggle parks she had gone to. Quinn said that she thought it was Victoire, too, though Max still wasn’t sure who the other young woman was with her. She guessed that she might have been another witch, too, but she wasn’t entirely certain. Even though she knew Louis, Max was hesitant to approach the former Minister of Magic in public so randomly.
She smiled back at Quinn, who said that the dogs already seemed eager to go. After reaching behind her and closing the gate once they were through, she bent down to Bella. “Are you ready to play?” she asked the Yorkie, her voice higher-pitched than it was ordinarily as she spoke to the dog.
Carefully, she unclipped Bella’s leash from his collar. “If they get too close to any larger dogs, we’ll want to step in,” Max cautioned, speaking normally to Quinn. “But Victoire’s and the other girl’s dog don’t look like they’ll hurt them,” she noted. Probably, Barney and Bella would stick close to one another, but they were sociable dogs—just small.
“Do you need help getting Barney’s lead off, or have you got it?”

Vic let Walter running off and soon B was joining him and Vic spun around to see El. She accepted the hug, grinning, "it's been way too long since these two have seen each other. I take responsibility for that," she said raising a hand and making a bit of an ashamed face. "I suppose you both have been well? And Cyrus?" Vic wasn't very close to him, but El was with him so that mattered to her. Some other dogs were running around, too, but Vic didn't look to see if she recognized the owners.

Eleanor smiled at her dog as she ran up to Walter, sniffing his bum before running around to play with the other dogs who had just arrived. Looking up, she saw the two girls were quite a bit younger than she and Victoire were, but it was summer after all so it made sense for school aged girls to be out and about with their dogs. It wasn’t as if this was a wizards-only dog park anyway, so Elle felt it was best to let things be unless they came up to the pair of them. She turned her attention back to Victoire with a raised brow. “Yes it has been way too long, since you left the Ministry,” she said pointedly. Her expression softened a little. “I just was worried about you Vic; it wasn’t like you to go so...radio silent for so long,” she said, folding her hands in her lap somberly. The subject of talking about her boyfriend though perked Elle up immensely. “Oh! He’s excellent, he’s busy with practice of course. They have a transfer from Puddlemere United and a new recruit from Durmstrang,” she told Victoire excitedly. “What about Teddy? How is he doing?” she asked. She knew Vic was also close with Royal Shacklebolt, but she saw him around the Ministry all the time. @victoire

El said she was worried about her and Vic looked away, pretending she was suddenly interested in what Walter was doing with the other dogs around. She leaned forward on the bench, elbows on knees, so she could keep her eyes as far from El as possible. She didn't know why, but it was hard to fess up to her friend what she had been doing, why she had been hiding. El was just like her, but now El was still successful and... that was a hard thing to face for Victoire. "Yeah, I... a lot of people worried," was all she got out about that.
She spoke of Cyrus and Vic smiled a little, nodded, but didn't turn back to face her friend yet. "I'm sure he's got his hands full," she chimed in. Then, at the mention of Teddy, Vics smile grew and she turned back to Eleanor. "He's amazing," she leaned back again, "in all honesty I don't deserve him. Or Royal," she shook her head, "I love them both, thank gods they love each other too. What a weird life I have," she shook her head and looked back toward the dogs.

Eleanor kept her gaze trained on Victoire for a few moments, analyzing the situation. She could tell Vic felt guilty about keeping everyone shut out of her life after she had stepped down as Minister, all but vanishing from public and even private life. She knew her friend knew everyone had been worried, but there was nothing she could do about that now. “Well, as long as you don’t vanish without a trace again, I forgive you,” Elle said teasingly, her eyes sparkling with mischief as she let her friend know nonverbally that everything was going to be okay. “Oooh yes, Teddy AND Royal. You’ve definitely got the best of both worlds,” Elle said, leaning forward to scratch Blair behind her ears as her dog came up for attention. Blair licked her palm happily and scampered off to play some more with Walter. “But what matters is your happiness. Are you happy?” she asked Vic. While Elle would be the first to admit she did not fully understand her friends’ polyamorous relationship, she was supportive because it made Victoire happy. It was more important to see that happiness than to fully understand, in Elle’s opinion. @victoire
