There was the dramatic eye-roll he was looking for! Even in the brief moments they had spent together so far, Lance knew of a few quirks and other things he knew he could get her going on. It was interesting to hear her opinion rather than him doing it in a sort of malicious way to get her riled up whenever he felt like it. He felt reassured having someone around him that was so sure of their convictions – and while Georgie was like that as well, it was different all at the same time. Lance didn’t know if he even had the words to describe how his sister and Katherine were different in their ideologies, aside from the fact that they were. There were moments where they were eerily similar in personality though. “I take it that they need to earn that respect first?” Lance asked, though knowing full well that this could end in a scoff about how she would never actually respect the British. It was odd to watch her base all of her disdain on them, as if it was all their fault that she had to be over here in the first place. But he had given up on making that argument within their first few dates. There was no budging for Katherine on that one.
His comment on how summer hadn’t really ended yet looked to go over well with her, adding that they should make the most of the time they had left. Lance found it hard to disagree with a point he had brought up in the first place, letting her pull herself up towards him, helping a bit by lowering his head once again to meet her there. Words didn’t really need to be exchanged for him to understand that this one was going to be more serious than the previous two had been; the firm grasp she had on his neck said more than enough. As he pressed his lips against hers again, Lance tightened his own grip on her leg. The last thing they needed was to be tumbling around on the floor of the compartment without good reason.
