The girl seemed to have a moment of being embarrassed as Daniel called her pretty, which she was, that wasn’t a lie. She proceeded to take a drink of her glass herself before explaining there wasn’t any poison. As well as stating she wouldn’t poison a hunk like him. Daniel doubted the hunk part but at least he agreed that she wasn’t attempting to poison him. “You have a point but isn’t that just what someone would say if they were attempting to poison someone.” Daniel countered back, unwilling to let it go just yet. “Still, I’m willing to take that risk right now.” He added with a slight laugh as this girl was at least making this party more interesting.
The girl claimed she was a little disappointed that she wouldn’t be the transfer student everyone talked about now that all the Ilvermorny students joined this year as well. Still she didn’t seem too hurt by it as she welcomed more people. “You look like you could handle being the talk of school if you wanted to even despite all the other transfer students.” Daniel said unsure just how true it was but so far he wouldn’t put it past the girl to have plenty of other people talking. “There’s a number of places in this school you’re not suppose to go to that are pretty easy to get to, sure to get people talking pretty quickly.” The forbidden corridor and dark forest were just a few that came to mind and if people found out that someone went there rumors were bound to start.
The girl asked if he had attended Ilvermorny. He would have been a little surprised by that he hadn’t already made it sound like he had been here before the rest of the Ilvermorny students even showed up, which was actually the case. “I did yes, I got the very unwanted pleasure of coming here a year before everyone else.” He explained attempting to make his situation a little more clear even if listening to what he said probably didn’t now that he thought about it. She finally offered her name and held out her hand. He shook her hand and smiled for a moment. “Nice to meet you Nora, how do you like the party so far?”

He said that it was possible what she was saying were just words to gain his trust in case she was indeed trying to poison him. "That would be a brilliant tactic," she muttered. In a way maybe she was doing something similar. She was gaining his trust in order to... what? Mess with him a little? She was sure he wouldn't mind, though. Most of her victims didn't. He said he was willing to take the risk and she grinned, "good," she confirmed with a nod. Nora grinned a little wider, "yes, I can handle that. Hopefully I can make that happen either way," she agreed. He said there were a number of places in the school they weren't supposed to go to that are pretty easy to get to, which would make people talk. "I've explored quite a bit already," she admitted, "maybe you could... show me some of the more interesting spots?" she requested with a sweet, syrupy tone. He said he had arrived a year before everyone else and she cocked her head to the side with a slightly confused look on her face. "Must be odd to have the two worlds collide," she guessed. "I'd be happy to help ease you through the transition as a third party," she offered. @crimson1

Kinsey explained how the mystery would help her feel more comfortable. “That’s part of the idea, allow everyone to cut loose and be themselves. Don’t have to worry about what others might think because no one will know who you are.” Gilderoy explained as it was only a small part of why he had thought it up, the main part being that it hadn’t been done before at Hogwarts. Gilderoy would gladly be the first to do it and have his name attached to it forever onward. Kinsey claimed her siblings counted as people knowing about her and would even count the students in their year but that was about it. “I don’t know, from my last count I think you might have enough siblings to count as a small gang.” Gilderoy teased for a moment as the number of Bainbridge's was in no way small.
“I don’t blame you, no one wants to be the first one to a party just waiting for the rest to show up.” Gilderoy said laughing as he typically showed up just after a party or event started to avoid just standing around and waiting. “That leaves a code or just meet somewhere at a certain time.” He added with a laugh as trying to plan a meet up while not knowing who was who would also be hard. Kinsey asked if that was a no to the code or they could plan this out before the event. “We can always figure that out later, Valentine’s isn’t for sometime but a code would work perfectly.” Still even with it being far off Gilderoy was excited to begin planning it out. He dreamed of this being a big event something the school would remember for sometime.

Gilderoy started explaining more about the idea behind his party/dance thing and Kinsey listened, nodding slowly. She liked the idea. She thought it would be much more fun to be able to dance with people without knowing who they were. "I like the idea," she told him again. She was sure he wouldn't mind that, since Gilderoy seemed to like being told that he was right about things. She shook her head when he teased her about her siblings being a gang. "Yeah, but they're my siblings, so they don't count when it comes to knowing me. They don't have a choice." Their choice was whether or not they wanted to associate themselves with her, and a few were choosing to not.
She nodded when he said that a code would work, but they didn't have to figure it out right now. "That's true. We can just talk about it later, when you've actually decided if you're going to do this idea or not. I mean, it'd be a shame to come up with a code and everything and then not end up doing that type of a dance." She was teasing him now, but Kinsey was almost certain Gilderoy wouldn't mind that. "You'll have to let me know what you decide to do," she added, hoping that he actually would. His ideas sounded fun and she was excited for the Valentine's Day dance, no matter what happened there.
She looked around them, noticing that much more people had joined the dance now. "I can leave now, you know. There are lots of other girls that would probably love to talk to you," she told him with a small shrug. At least she didn't have to run away this time. If she left now, at least she'd have fond memories of the dance.

Kinsey stated she liked his idea for the party and Gilderoy just smiled. He had for the most part decided but as she was one of the first people he had told about it, it was good to get some positive feedback. Being his idea it couldn’t be a bad one but some assurance was always nice anyway. Gilderoy laughed a little as Kinsey claimed her siblings didn’t count as they had to know about her. “You have a point but I don’t give many people a choice about knowing about me either. It would be rude if I didn’t introduce myself to strangers, they might feel left out otherwise.” He replied with a small laugh, only partly kidding, he couldn't introduce himself to everyone even if he had wanted to try.
“Oh, I’m definitely doing it. Or at least something on Valentine’s Day, I was just saying we have sometime before the party.” Gilderoy explained as he had already decided to hosting something for Valentine’s Day. The only question he had was what till he had decided even more on the masquerade ball. “We’ll see each other again before it at some point. We do share many of the same classes and a common room.” Yet they never did seem to talk much but he could keep on the look out for Kinsey, especially with whatever was going on between her and Riley. “Still I’ll let you know what goofy signal I come up with, it’ll have to be silly since we’ll have masks anyway.”
“Isn’t that the truth but they can wait till another time, as your professional party instructor I take this job very seriously.” Gilderoy explained as he had no intention ditching Kinsey after getting her to stay and even dance. “I’m having fun and they can just wait their turn some other time.” Gilderoy laughed for a moment as he knew waiting did drive some people crazy and he liked that idea also.

Kinsey laughed, shaking her head when Gilderoy said that he introduced himself to a bunch of people as well. She couldn't really argue that fact, since he did seem to know everyone, but she still thought that Gilderoy knowing everyone was different than her siblings knowing her. "Well, I feel honored that I haven't been left out then," she teased, surprised with herself that she was actually teasing himself a little.
She nodded when Gilderoy said that he was definitely doing something on Valentine's Day. At least that would give her something to look forward to after Christmas break. She was looking for things that were positive in this school year, and the idea of another dance was definitely a positive thing. "Yes, you're right. We can figure stuff out sometime before Valentines Day," she agreed. If it came down to it, she could always find him a day or two and see what he had planned and then ask him what they should do. She nodded, "I'll be looking forward to it." And she would, a lot more than she originally thought.
Gilderoy told her that his admirers could wait for another time to dance with him, since he was determined to make sure that she enjoyed herself. Kinsey's smile widened and she nodded, "Well thank you!" She was a bit surprised that he would decide to stay with her when there were probably others who were much more exciting than she was. Still, Kinsey would enjoy it, since he wanted to dance with her. "I'm having fun too. A bit more than I thought I would, so you're doing a very good job as my party instructor," she flattered, sure that Gilderoy would appreciate it. The thing was, she wasn't just trying to flatter him. She actually meant it.
@lockhart (we can just say it ends here if you want? Gilderoy helps her enjoy the party until she decides to leave?)

The party was a whopping success, and Addilyn was just excited that anyone came at all. But, alas, all good things must come to an end. Around one-o-clock in the morning, Addi started to shoo people out, preparing the room to be cleaned up the next day. The House Elves would help her, even though she had told them that it was her responsibility since she took part in throwing the party and all, but they wouldn't stand for her cleaning alone. Probably because they didn't think she would do a very good job of it.
Either way, everyone was cleared out and the party was over. Yay!
(THE END. CLOSING TIME. YOU DON'T HAVE TO GO HOME BUT YOU CAN'T STAY HERE.)
