Hello there, my name is Viktor Marvin Podmore but you can call me Vik. I'm a thief and 22 so that makes me a graduate of Hogwarts. You could say I'm ambitious, cunning, and resourceful but I personally think that I am charming, witty, and sarcastic. People say I look a lot like Keegan Allen, but I don't really see it...

overall personality:
Vik has a very fun and engaging personality. He likes to talk with people and make friends, but he has a very hard time when he feels like people aren’t being honest or sincere with him. He’s charismatic and charming and rarely has a hard time getting along with people. However, he has a very high standard for people that he actually counts as friends, so while he gets along with many, he counts few as his friend.
He also has a very sarcastic, teasing side. He has a hard time taking most things seriously and often prefers to joke when he’s put in a difficult or tricky situation. He’s very talkative (maybe too much) and can sometimes be quite annoying for that reason, but he has a hard time noticing when he’s bothering others by being a chatterbox. Still, he always finds it very easy to come up with just the right thing to say and almost always has a retort of some kind. There is, however, a more quiet side to him that only his close friends and confidantes get to see when he’s in the mood to let them in.

history:
Viktor never knew his father, who disappeared before he was born, but he and his mother were always very close. Charlotte loved her son and did everything she could to make him happy and it worked. Vik loved every moment with his mother and never felt like he was missing anything. As a young child, he showed great promise in magic and he was always a very independent child. He liked to figure out his own way of doing things and prove that he could take care of himself. His mom was always very supportive, helping him figure out things that he struggled with and always being there to encourage and guide him.
When he was seven years old, his mother was killed in a tragic accident on her way home from work and Vik found himself an orphan. He was placed in an orphanage on the outskirts of London but hated it there. He hated not having the freedom he always enjoyed while living with his mother. It wasn’t too long after he was placed there that he ran away. He started off by going across town, to an area where he thought people wouldn’t be looking for him. The first few weeks were very hard, with him trying to figure out how to live on his own. He ended up sleeping in alleyways and charming people into giving him the food he needed. It was obvious that he couldn’t continue with this forever.
Then Vik ran into another kid who seemed to be doing the same thing. The kid’s name was Marcus and once he realized that Vik was on his own, he took Vik to an abandoned house where Vik found himself surrounded by runaways. They all lived day-to-day, helping one another in everything. They taught Vik how to do small jobs (liking pickpocketing, washing windows and cars, mowing lawns, selling papers, etc.) They earned money together and all pooled it together to take care of one another. Vik was extremely successful at earning money for the group, using his charisma and charming nature to convince people to let him do jobs for them. He was also quite adept a pickpocketing, when necessary. Vik also had the added benefit of being a Wizard. The other children didn’t know it, but he used the things his mother taught him to get into Diagon Alley, which tended to be a place where he received more help than others. He could convince quite a few witches or wizards to give him a meal at least. Also, there was the added benefit that no one in the magical community was looking for him. He didn’t dare try to pickpocket witches and wizards, so he only asked for help and offered to do jobs for them. Whenever the authorities would find where they were, they scattered and met in a new place. It was organized chaos, but the older kids always made sure that the younger ones were taken care of and it wasn’t long before they were all back together in a new place. These kids became his family.
A year later, Jaquelin and Marvin Podmore found him in Diagon Alley. He stopped them as they were walking in the streets and started talking with them cheerfully. His clothes weren’t nice by any stretch of the imagination, but he wasn’t in rags and the two found themselves listening to the young boy. He charmed them, convincing them to buy him some food and when they found out he was an orphan they took him home with them. Vik was very hesitant and didn’t really want to go. He enjoyed the freedom he had with his friends, but he allowed them to, saying he would just stay for one night. Their house was nicer than anything he could have imagined and the couple was so nice and supportive that Vik had a hard time saying goodbye the next day, but he did. He returned to his friends, but Jaquelin and Marvin told him that he was always welcome at their house. Over the next few weeks, Vik saw Jaquelin and Marvin at Diagon Alley. He didn’t go home with them again, but any time they saw him, they gave him a meal and money. Jaquelin bought him new clothes once too. They asked about his family (he told them about his situation) and always seemed supportive. Seeing them became almost natural.
Then, one night, the authorities came while everyone was sleeping. Vik woke up to the sound of shuffling feet and muffled cries. He snuck around the abandoned house he and his friends were living in, only to realize that the cops got it and took everyone without so much as a fight. He tried to hide, but they found him and he had to run. He left the house and ran through alleyways, making his way to Jaquelin and Marvin’s house. Frantically, he rang on the doorbell and Marvin opened it about a minute later. He seemed to wake up as soon as he saw Vik there. He heard the shouts of the police and pulled the boy inside. Jaquelin was walking towards the door and when Vik saw her he ran to her and threw his arms around her. He told the couple what happened to his family, that they were all gone and Jaquelin did her best to comfort and calm the young boy. They told him to rest and that they would figure things out the next morning. When he woke up, they asked Vik to stay with them and join their family. Vik asked if he could see if any of his friends made it out like he did. Marvin and Jaquelin accompanied him to the next meeting spot, but no one was there. Vik agreed to join their family and the two happily adopted him, giving him anything he needed, including his space. Jaquelin and Marvin were always the most supportive of parents and Vik loved his life with them.
Then he went to school at Hogwarts. He absolutely loved learning more about magic and did very well in his classes and became well-known for his silver tongue. However, not everyone liked him. Though his adoptive parents were Purebloods, the majority of other purebloods in the school didn’t accept him as one of them. They looked down on him and treated him as though he didn’t belong. Vik retaliated sneakily, pulling pranks that couldn’t be traced back to him. He had a few good friends from school, people he could trust to be there for him if he ever needed them.
Once he graduated from Hogwarts, Vik couldn’t figure out what he wanted to do with his life. None of the jobs he read or heard about interested him, but after a while he found himself close with a small group of people. They were … well they were thieves and while Vik would never tell his adoptive parents what he was doing with them, he really enjoyed the escapades. They stole from the rich, muggles and wizards, and Vik found himself thoroughly intrigued by the difficulty and level of skills required. A few times, he found himself in a pinch but was always able to talk his way out of it. It wasn’t long before he went underground and started living among the muggles to keep himself out of the magical society’s eyes.
Despite this, Vik kept himself up to date on all magical news. He felt very uncomfortable with all the things that happened at Hogwarts, especially when people died. When things escalated with the death of many of the foreign students that went to Hogwarts for the Triwizard Tournament, Vik decided to come out of hiding. He still wanted to not be noticed by most people in the magical community, but he also wanted to find out if there was anything he could do to help. He doesn’t like violence and wants to help protect those who might not be able to take care of themselves.
