it gets better.
AARON HAD BEEN A LITTLE BIT EXCITED TO SEE what the famous Hogwarts had wrangled up as a ride. As he remembered it, Durmstrang had never been so accommodating to outsiders, so festivals and celebrations were quite limited. He'd certainly never seen a roller-coaster ride parked in the sloping innards of a castle. The entire prospect had propelled him straight towards it, and his expectations had been high. At least, higher than they should have been.
"Hm?" Aaron hummed, smiling as he turned his head to catch Harper's eye as he slid from the cart, his ears straining to catch what she'd said. He was never very good at listening with his back turned. "Oh, yes..." He replied, laughter still lingering in his voice as he blew out a breath. "My first look at Hogwarts has certainly been unforgettable!" And then he helped haul her from the back of the cart and on to the makeshift track they'd come down on. It wobbled slightly at the uneven weight of them both, but Aaron wasn't terribly worried. He let Harper walk a half foot ahead as they made there way towards the watery light of the entrance.
"If these castle walls could talk," He said, his voice echoing slightly in the cavernous space. He, too, was interested in the mechanics of building such a ride in a confined space. "Magic?" He offered, snickering slightly as he set his glowing wand across the walls. The odd spider scuttled back in to the shadows, the damp stone looking sticky and wet. He was convinced that the experience would have been interesting, had they completed it, but they'd hurried off the one person set aside to aid in the exact situation.
"Guess we should have waited for the second operator," He said after a moment, snorting as he reached over to grab a metal rung as they incline grew considerably near the top, Harper taking it before him. "Everything look good?" He grunted, pulling up his weight as he wedged his foot in to the wooden slating at the beginning and punted himself up and back on to the level landing, which was much better lit than the darkness of the tunnel.
