A huff left Dana Knox’s lips as she flipped her blonde locks over her shoulder, determination and focus crossing her blue eyes as she glared down her opponent. While the duel had riled her up, Dana knew that truthfully, she was enjoying the practice and hoped it would come in handy for the near future, especially near those creeps that crawled in the alleyways of Diagon Alley. Though, lost in thought the Knox didn’t notice the jinxes that were sent her way and while her late defensive stance protected her from one, the other had hit her. ”O-o-Ouch” Dana sang, her voice hitting different octaves that she never knew she could reach before. Her pale hand clamped over her mouth in shock while her blue eyes widened, looking between Vik and a laughing Lars. Dana loved singing but she hated revealing how she sang around friends – so this was torture for her. ”I’ll- Never give up!” She sang, her voice reaching the levels of opera.
As her wand lifted once more, she waved it in a few movements, chants of different spells such as Expelliarmus and even Protego in order to protect herself. When she noticed it hadn’t cracked one part of Vik’s shield; the Knox who was soon running out of breath thought of a crazy idea. ”Incendio.” She sang, a small spark of flames leaving her wand until Dana stepped closer, hoping to burn her way through. Out of the corner of her eyes, Dana saw the surprised look from Lars’ widened eyes, leaving a grin touching her own lips as she continued to step closer. Hopefully with Dana’s own distraction – she knew she somehow had a chance and sent the Expelliarmus spell in his direction once more.

Vik couldn't help but laugh when Dana started singing everything. Perfect! She was obviously surprised and a little horrified, but that made it more fun, didn't it? Lars definitely looked like he was having fun and Vik certainly was. She sand that she wouldn't ever give up and Vik shook his head slightly, still laughing. There was something to be said for determination, and he admired the fact that she was still trying, despite the fact that they were on two different levels.
He watched, smirking as she shot all sorts of spells at him. Did she really think that he wouldn't be able to block those. Vik was actually very good at defensive and offensive magic and he was having a blast showcasing that here. Then she said "Incendio" and his eyes widened a little. Huh. That was definitely a new idea. Maybe something he could use later, sometime. He stored it away in his mind, watching her carefully. She continued to use her spell to damage his shield. He noticed her Expelliarmus and dodged it, rising to his feet and holding his hands up. "Okay Dana, okay. You've proven that you're very determined and resourceful. Do we have to play this out to the end or are you good ending in a truce?" Vik's wand was still at the ready, just in case she tried for a cheap shot, but he already had another defensive protection charm up just in case. He was ready to relax a bit now if she was.

A celebratory huff left Dana Knox’s lips as her Incendio spell came to a short finish, the increase of fatigue in her lack of practice with the spells and duelling overall catching up to her. ”Finally!” Dana yelled, the sing-song tone that was once heavy coming to a soft end. Thank God. The blonde thought to herself while her hands slapping her knees as she leaned over. ”A truce is perfectly fine by me” While Dana enjoyed her time battling out the elder Slytherin, the Knox girl knew she was no match for him. Especially with his spells that he showed no sign of casting and the unexpected protective barriers, the whole lot confused the blonde.
As she pushed herself upwards, the Knox girl extended her hand – a way that she always confirmed her truces. A poor handshake. ”I had fun.” She beamed, before falling onto her backside once more, thankful that the suns rays beamed out around them. ”Tiring fun.” Dana added.

It was obvious from Dana's expression that she was a bit worn out, which only confirmed Vik's determination to end their little duel. Of course, he wouldn't have done anything to hurt her if they continued, but she seemed the stubborn type and he was definitely the same. He wouldn't have let her win, so he was certain that the match would have gone on for quite a while. He chuckled as she sang "finally," unable to help himself. He was pretty pleased to see his spell's lasting effect on her, even though it was dying down now. He lowered his wand, relaxing when she said that she was good with a truce. He nodded, watching as she bent over. A moment later, she extended her hand and Vik smiled as he took it, shaking her hand. "Me too. You did really well, actually. Made me think on my feet a bit more than I normally have to." Not that Vik really had duels all that commonly, but still ... she did well and he had no qualms about telling her so. In fact, he wanted her to know. He laughed when she collapsed on the ground, sitting down as well. "If you keep practicing, you'll get used to it," Vik teased. @dana (you wanna end it? Or we can keep going if you want)

A blush crept onto Dana Knox’s cheeks as her elder complimented her. ”Thanks.” She murmured, the song-tone in her voice finally completed, disappearing into thin air. In the time she spent with both Vik and Lars around the Black Lake, Dana noticed that she had truthfully enjoyed herself – even if the two had battled out their opposites and different opinions. The Knox had definitely learned a few things just by waving her own wand today, including the fact that people didn’t need to murmur or recite spells in order for them to be performed. It was an action from Vik’s behalf that confused her. But the blonde would learn.
Alongside this, she had somehow gotten to know Vik a lot more, especially just from the ways he held his wands and how confident he was in performing his own spells around her. Of course, he was older and had at least a year’s extra filled with experience, Dana still respected and looked up to him considering he could have literally beaten her ass.
Though now, as she sat against the rocks once more, the blonde found herself laughing along with Lars and Vik as the three of them indulged into conversation once more, much to Lars’ excitement as he spewed out how ’awesome’ their duel was. Their robes were scattered across the rocks as the sun soon began to beam down on them, peeking out from the many trees around the trio, resulting in a perfect day for all of them.
{END} @vik & i had fun!!
