CARVE OUR NAMES INTO FIRE WITH EVERYTHING ON THE LINE WATCH THE WORLD IGNITE THIS IS A REVOLUTION
Her mother had been having dinners with old people and their children for years, hoping that some of the children and grandchildren would fall for one of her beautiful daughters. Of course, Tammy was lucky, she ran away before their parents could try to force them to marry, but it just meant that Cameron was forced to go it alone. Wear a nice dress, do her hair, act civil and lady-like ― absolute barf.
'No offense Cam, but that sounds miserable. Just get lost in the woods that day and happen to find your way here hours later, that way you accidentally miss it. Or we could elope. Whatever works best for you?' Cameron would have spit out her drink if she had one, especially when Nora seemed to pitch in for the idea about eloping.
She laughed, "As much as I'd love to elope and give my mother a heart attack, I am way too young to be married. As me again in a few years," she said jokingly with a wink towards her friend. "But I guess I could turn up late and lost from the woods," she said knowing that her mother would be pissed at her, but it wasn't like she cared.
"I mean, you could give me the gun, and I'll hold onto it for Nora, that way she has her guns and then a secret gun at my place," she said with a laugh. It was a joke, of course, because she knew that Nora could never have too many guns. @steve & @nora

@cameron & @nora December 2020 Nora as witness! This was almost perfect. Steve always knew he and Cameron would be a match made in heaven or whatever, even if it was just to keep the creepy old men away from her. He liked to equate it to a green card marriage, except she would be marrying down into his little half-vampire family instead of escaping into money. She quickly dashed those hopes and dreams though by saying that she was too young to be married, and Steve let his head drop forward in a pout. “Yeah, you’re right. Getting lost is better than nothing I guess.” He still would have preferred the other option. Age was just a number anyways, and if he had it his way, this would only expedite his future by a little bit. “Nor and I are the best bad influences ever. You can’t let anyone at that silly school of yours take that title away from us. If they try, tell them they have nothing on us.” Being able to back up his words would be a lot cooler but that was never going to happen as long as they stayed in Canada. Their parents had gone to magical schools but they apparently weren’t allowed. Probably was Nora’s fault for being unpredictably wild. Or maybe because he’d piss all the girls off after a week or two there.
“Oooh secret guns…that could certainly work,” Steve contemplated the idea, stroking the nonexistent facial hair on his face. Leaning towards Cameron, he cupped his hands around his mouth and whispered to her, “Meet me out back before you leave tonight. I’ll give you the goods.” He returned back to his spot and threw a wink at his twin, hoping to make her more curious about whether or not the Christmas gift gun was real or not. Keeping that a secret was only going to become more difficult as December ticked on. Nora was bound to snoop around as well, and placing her gifts in the safety of Cameron’s home would definitely keep them safe for a little longer.

Cam said she was too young to be married and Nora frowned too, just as Steve did. "Well, just don't get lost without me, guys," she chimed in, not wanting to be left out of the adventure. Steve commented that they were the 'best bad influences ever', to which Nora nodded. "Yes, exactly! They don't know what they're talking about," Nora agreed. Nora hadn't really wanted to go to one of the big schools at first, but now that she was older she was much more interested in getting to know the scene at a place like that.
The talk of secret guns amused her, and Steve made it sound like a drug deal with Cameron. She glared at her twin as he winked. "Whatever you get me, I'll pretend to be surprised," she said slowly. "The real question is, what are we going to get Cameron!?" she turned to look at the blonde, "guess we'll have to speak after you leave, darling. Apologies."

She could tell her words of being too young for marriage brought an upset demeanor into him, and she smiled at him, waiting until after he spoke to state her thoughts. "Don't count that as a no Steve...just a not yet," she said with a wink, she wouldn't mind marrying into the Kolstad family. She loved them all and had a small crush on Steve since as long as she could remember. The idea of marrying Steve...God, why did she pass up eloping?! She internally smacked her head against a fridge.
Cameron laughed as both her friends agreed that they were better than anyone at the school she attended, and she agreed. Nora and Steve would forever claim the title of her Ride or Dies, and no one else could steal that from them. "You got it!" said the blonde as Steve told her to see her before she went home that night for the goods, which lead Nora into talking about what Steve would get her and that they would have to talk about it once she left. She rolled her eyes but did not comment. She had their gifts since before she returned home, having bought it while she was attending Ilvermorny and smuggled it back home, they didn't need to know that though!

@cameron & @nora December 2020 So they were going from a no to eloping to a maybe someday. A smug grin formed on his face as he looked back and forth between the girls, nodding his head contently. “I think I just got my Christmas gift for the next however many years so I’m all set,” Steve teased. Even if they were just joking around, it was fun to think about the future in some capacity. Unfortunately there were too many what-ifs that could be in the way before that point in time, should it ever happen. Like how there were all those guys at Ilvermorny that he would never be able to physically compete against. Or how there were tons of other girls that he wouldn’t be able to flirt with if he locked himself down to Cameron. At the same time, why would he care about all the rest if he and Cam were a thing? There was a lot to think about and a lot of time until that point. “Well she already has me, for my gift,” Steve continued, hopping off the bed so he could pace around the bedroom. “But since I’m the gift that keeps on giving, we do need to come up with something else…” Nora suggested that they talk about it after Cameron left and Steve pointed at his sister. “Great idea. Not that we want you to leave later Cam, but this is extremely important. It’ll be the meeting of the greatest minds in Canada.” He continued pacing, wracking his mind about what he and Nora could get their friend, but couldn’t come up with anything. A loud rumble from his stomach interrupted the thought process, and he glanced down at it. “Someone’s hungry. If you’ll excuse me ladies and Nora, I’m going to go raid the fridge before mom can yell at me for eating junk food again.” Turning on his heels quickly, he ran out of the room and down the hall towards the kitchen.
