Dan smirked when she said that she was trying to share the lead. But when she ran her fingers down his arm speaking of being a 'woman in charge' and if he liked that... well, his droopy smile made it clear that he definitely did like that. And then - shopping. He laughed, moving to step by her side and wrap an arm around her waste to look at the map with her. "That's actually a great idea. We need to make sure we get souvenirs from our travels," he agreed, and they were off. At her words about not wanting the vacation to end, Daniel tightened his grip on her hand. "I know... I'm not sure if I want to go back and deal with real life. I mean, I love my job, but... everything is always so... serious back home," he muttered softly. "I feel more disconnected. In a good way."Irina Rose Krum

Irina nodded at his words. It was true - real life, graduating from school and becoming a part of the adult wizarding world was a lot. Perhaps she had been a bit sheltered at Hogwarts; she had of course understood that the Purifiers were a threat, and that Hogwarts had been attacked, but then they still went to class and were kept busy. The Triwizard Tournament had been a welcome distraction to what was going on in the real world, until the explosions at the end of the year. Now they didn’t have classes and clubs to keep them busy, just work and reading the horrors facing the Wizarding World in the Prophet. “I know what you mean,” she said softly, squeezing his hand. After they found and purchased some souvenirs, her bag quite a bit heavier than it was before, Irina felt content to just stroll down the streets. Eventually, they found their way to a boardwalk near the famed beaches of Barcelona. “You know, I’ve heard some of these beaches are topless beaches,” she said, raising an eyebrow and smirking over at him. It was late enough in the afternoon that she didn’t really want to go sunbathe, but she wanted to see his reaction to the idea. @daniel

She said she knew what he meant about being disconnected, and he tightened his grip on her hand as well. The moment of calm vanished when she mentioned topless beaches though and his eyes widened with panic, "ah, what? No," he broke his panic and chuckled. "I don't think it's true, but I've convinced myself that clothes block people's emotions. I mean, they definitely do with touch," he leaned closer to her, even though his arms were already wrapped around her as he looked at the map, "skin makes them stronger, so I've convinced myself that's true from a distance too," he explained, taking the opportunity of talking about skin to move her hair aside and kiss the back of her neck lightly. Then he laughed, pulling back a little, "but in all seriousness, I'm terrified of the emotions people would feel at a topless beach, babe."Irina Rose Krum

Irina giggled as he kissed the back of her neck. “I was only joking love, I would only go topless at a secluded beach with just you to take in the view,” she said teasingly. She turned in his arms, looping her arms around his waist. Standing on her tiptoes, she pressed a soft kiss to his lips. “Come on, there’s just a little more of the boardwalk left,” she said, taking his hand in hers as they continued to walk. Mercifully, they did not witness any topless sunbathers in their view as they walked past. The sun was beginning to dip lower in the sky and shades of pink and purple painted the sky a beautiful picture. She saw a small cart near the end of the beach that was selling beautiful hand painted pictures of the sights in Barcelona, and she ended up purchasing one of the Sagrada Familia at sunset, so she could always remember this evening. Before long, Irina’s stomach was grumbling. “Let’s go to the market, grab some food and head back to our campsite where it’s nice and quiet,” she suggested, loping her arms around his waist. She laughed softly. “I feel like we’re eating like royalty during this trip,” she said jokingly. “It’ll be hard to go back and have to get simple English meals,” she added with a smile. @daniel
