November Finley hadn't seen his old friend Edrik in a while, so seeing him on the streets of Dublin was a bit of a shock. At first he thought he had imagined it... but no, that was definitely Edrik. Edrik was playing for the Arrows now, and Fin was an Obliviator at the English Ministry, so they both were in the same area most of the time as far as he knew. Still, Fin was a little older and wasn't great at staying in touch with anyone, so they hadn't really talked. Plus, most of their 'talking' was just being near one another but not saying much. Well, at least no on Fins part. Fin realized that Edrik might be interested to hear that Jess was now Finley's girlfriend. He had confided in the guy about her after one of the Hufflepuff-Slytherin Quidditch matches, after all, and Fins... obsession? Attraction? Whatever to Jess was very obvious to anyone who knew about it. Fin walked toward the guy, "Edrik Krum," he greeted, shaking his head a little in disbelief. @edrik (you get to have fun deciding why Ed is in Dublin XD)

In the time that Edrik had returned to England, he had settled in rather comfortably. As the new Keeper of Appleby Arrows, the best brother Irina could ask for and another step closer to being Tia Finch’s boyfriend – things were going rather swimmingly for the Krum, that was until his Coach had requested that Edrik spent some time away from England and travel to Dublin for promotional images for upcoming Quidditch posters as well as to form a practice match between his own team and the local team of Dublin. Alongside a few of his team mates, the group all flew out for Dublin for the weekend in hopes to return with a promised match. Considering the Krum was once a Captain/leader for his own Quidditch team, Edrik had no problem to join his members and request a match against the opposing team, but considering he was in a place he had never been to – his concerns for the area around him had left some marks of anxiety.
Walking through the streets of Dublin with his hands stuffed into his pockets and his eyes focused on the ground; Edrik’s mind chased after his feet but soon the two of them came to a short stop once someone called out his name. Brow raised and eyes slowly lifting off the dark concrete, hazel eyes soon met dark brown ones – familiar ones. ”Well I’ll be damned.” Edrik began, a grin touching his lips. ”Finley O’Niell. What are you doing here?” The last Edrik had heard of his friend/enemy: Finley was the elder had graduated from Hogwarts and soon began to work in the Ministry. So, it was a surprise for Edrik to find his friend here.

Fin waited for Edrik to look up, then gave a short wave with his hand. Edrik grinned, asking Fin what he was doing there. Fin gave a shrug, "just visiting my home town," he said, tossing a nod in a random direction in order to gesture to the city around him. "My old house isn't too far from here," he explained. He wasn't going to visit it, though. He hadn't really enjoyed his time there and wasn't interested in running into anyone who knew him that well - they always just felt sorry for him and he didn't really want to talk about his childhood... but he still loved the city of Dublin, even if his home life was full of bad memories. "I think the better question would be what you're doing here. Don't you have a kiddy broom race to get to?" he teased. @edrik

The gesture around the city had Edrik Krum looking around him briefly, noting the differences that Dublin had to London. Aside from his family home in Bulgaria, Ireland was one place the young Krum enjoyed the look of. Dark eyes gave the area one more glance before he turned back to his friend, softly clapping against the older man’s back. ”Dublin’s a beauty.” He stated, his cheesy grin remaining evident on his lips. With an eye roll, Edrik nudged Finley slightly before stuffing his hands into the jacket that kept him warm throughout the cold November.
”Why do you think I’m out here?” He teasingly questioned. ”Promoting for that Kiddy-Broom race!” He explained, adding on the O’Niell’s insulting words for Quidditch. ”I thought you were madly in love with Jess to never leave her side – or the country in fact.”

Fin nodded as Edrik said Dublin was 'a beauty'. Fin had always like the streets of his city, especially the parts farther away from his house. Ed nudged Fin and Fin chuckled. "Lots to admire," he agreed, almost as an afterthought. Edrik joked that he was promoting the 'kiddy-broom' race, hence why he was here in the first place. Fin chuckled, shaking his head. "When's the big day?" Fin asked, still half teasing. Then Edrik mentioned Jess, speaking about Fins obsession and saying he didn't think Fin could leave the country because of it. "Actually, I almost brought her but she had to work," he explained, grinning, "we're... dating now," completely true fact, and it felt amazing to say out loud. @edrik

”I can tell.” Edrik responded, his eyes peering over the large scaled buildings of the street they stood in once more. It reminded him of London in a way, the centre of the city filled with the tallest and largest skyscrapers while in the smaller areas of the city remained the small scaled houses – bungalows and flats. The whole lot brought a small smile onto the Krum’s face. ”A lot to show me when we have the time.”
With a shake of his head, Edrik pushed his weight onto his stronger leg, his arms crossing over one another. ”No clue. Could be a few weeks from now, or even a month.” Sighing, dark eyes looked up to his friend. ”They’re still debating when the league should begin.” He clarified. But when the O’Niell announced that Jess and himself were in fact a couple, dark eyes widened in surprise. ”Well I’ll be damned. You finally asked her out!” And with a teasing grin, he reached over to his friend, his hand clapping against his back. ”Congratulations!”

Krum agreed that there was a lot to see, saying that he could be shown when they had the time. "There are castles, too, not far from here. Well, most things aren't far for us," he said with a short, amused chuckle. Being a wizard made life so much easier it was almost unfair. Well, not almost, it WAS unfair. Jess's parents couldn't apparate anywhere, or ride a broom. That was kind of sad for family vacations and stuff. Edrik went along with his joke, saying that 'they' were still debating when the league would begin. "Well, alas, waiting is part of the game, isn't it? As long as you keep practicing," Fin joked. Then, upon the confession of dating Jess, Ed clapped a hand on Fins back and congratulated him. "Yeah, thanks. Thanks," he said, smiling sheepishly. "I don't really know why she's dealing with me but," he shrugged. "And... what about you, man?" Ed had endured a little school crush of his own. @edrik

Castles? Edrik wondered, his eyes widening in shock. The Krum was sure the last time he saw a castle of his own was back in Bulgaria, when his father always took all of the Krum children on a tour around. ”That’s definitely something you have to show me” He stated, clapping his hand against his friend’s shoulder. It was nice to explore out of somewhere that was home, either England or Bulgaria – both places that the Krum knew like the back of his hand. If he actually had time for himself, Edrik swore he would’ve travelled all over.
”Practicing gets boring at times.” He reminded the Finley, even remembering the times the Krum would spend moments alone or alongside his fellow Gryffindor members, conjuring up new tactics to keep their practices somewhat…fun. ”She’s dealing with you because you’re a cool dude.” Edrik stopped for a moment, narrowing his eyes teasingly before adding: ”At times.” With a laugh, the Krum took Finley’s question in mind, his hand lifting to scratch the back of his hair. ”It was…going. Until graduation. I haven’t seen her since.” He stated, in relation to the Finch girl herself. ”I told her I was leaving…For Bulgaria and things went downhill. I-I haven’t even told her I’m back.”

Edriks eye went wide at the mention of castles and Fin couldn't help but chuckle a little at that. He said that was something Fin would have to show him, and Fin nodded. "Let's do it," he said, accepting Edriks hand clapping against his shoulder. Edrik said practicing got boring sometimes, which seemed entirely sincere even if they were just joking at first. Fin nodded at that, too. "Not as fun as the actual game," he suggested. Edrik claimed Jess was dealing with him because he was a 'cool dude' and Fin scoffed, but Edrik added the 'at times' part and Fin grinned. "That's more accurate."At Fins next question, Edrik said things were 'going' until graduation and that he told her he was leaving and things went downhill. When he admitted he hadn't confessed he was back, Fin frowned. "You should," he suggested, "but castle first," he said, starting to walk toward an area where they could apparate in secret. "Why.. haven't you told her? Do you know?"@edrik

Hearing his friend’s laugh and acceptance, Edrik Krum’s grin grew almost to the familiar one of a Cheshire cat. The castles back home in Bulgaria were grand and extravagant, usually matching the royalty that lived in them. Surely it would be the same for the ones scattered in Ireland. Most castles were. ”Right now?!” He questioned, grinning.
”Exactly that.” He sighed, running a hand through his wavy hair. While Edrik loved playing for the Appleby Arrows, their practices were always the killer aspect of it all. Playing in the actual games themselves were what gave Edrik that fuel of adrenaline. Laughing at his friend, Edrik shoved his hands in his pockets once more, feeling the cold whip past his face. ”I’m happy for you regardless. The two of you.” He grinned.
Sighing, Edrik walked after his friend, knowing that while they’ll be discussing a difficult topic it would at least it would be overviewing a great scenery. ”I’ve just…Never found the chance to talk to her.” Tia was stubborn too. She usually didn’t speak about things in the first place, hence why it took Edrik a long while to actually discover she was Tia. Not Tamara. But after ending whatever they had going on it was even hard to not think about her during his training in Bulgaria. ”Plus…I’m sure she wouldn’t wanna see me. I’ve considered asking her round for our families Christmas dinner next month, since she’s roommates with my little sister.”

Ed questioned if they were going to do the castles right now and Finley pursed his lips in thought before shrugging. "Yeah, I don't see what not?"Finley understood what Edrik was saying about practice not being as fun as the actual games. Finley preferred things to stay quiet, for the most part, but he couldn't stop the adrenaline from a good duel. As Edrik said he was happy for Fin, Fins shy smile took it's familiar place. "Hey, thanks," he muttered. It still felt strange to talk about. It felt right, yes, but a little strange. Edrik said he just never found the time to talk to Tia and Fin pursed his lips to the side for a moment. He said he wasn't sure she'd want to see him and that she was roommates with Irina. "Woah, how'd that happen? What are the odds..."@edrik

Edrik knew that Finley had always been one step ahead of himself. Always…Filled with twists and surprises here and there. But what he hadn’t expected was the suggestion of heading to the castles straight away. ”Good point.” He stated, brows raised up at his friend while his lips turned upwards: into a smile.
Practices were fun and such, but nothing could ever match to the feeling of winning a perfect game. It was always fun, to brag to others about the event as a whole only boosted the Krum’s ego for another week or so. But with Finley’s happiness finally guaranteed, given the years the Krum boy knew him, he couldn’t help but grin. ”I always knew your happiness was around some kind of corner.” He teased, looking over his shoulder.
Edrik felt his lips twitch just a little, especially at the coincidences of it all. How was it possible? That the girl you had deep feelings for was a part of your life more than ever, especially as she shared a home with your own sister. ”No clue. Irina brought it up not too long ago. I thought while it was strange, it was rather…Interesting.” Yet he still had no courage to speak to the Finch. With folded arms, Edrik looked up at his friend. ”So. Castle?”

Finley led the way to the nearest castle that tourists were welcome to as soon as Edrik agreed. As Edrik spoke of happiness, Finley felt a deep-rooted sadness stir within him. He would like to say that his happiness was final, but there were still so many complications. "I can only hope yours is as well," he said.
It was interesting that the girl Edrik has liked all throughout school was now his sister's roommate. "It's a little suspicious if you ask me." Finley was only joking of course, but knowing Irina Krum anything was possible.
Finley nodded up ahead, "It's just around the bend there. Keep your eyes peeled and you should be able to see the tops of it over the trees."

FOLLOWING BEHIND, EDRIK’S ADMIRATION only grew the longer the two of them walked, following the paths of the tourists and entering where they were able to go. ”Sort of.” He mumbled, a small smile plastered on his lips. As of now, Edrik’s own happiness evolved around himself. He was…A little more successful now, known for the local team of Quidditch, beating other teams who didn’t deserve the title. He hadn’t exactly found love the same way Finley had, but…He had something. Even if he needed to pick the pieces up and glue them together.
Quirking a brow and his lips turning upwards to form a slight smirk, the Krum let out a quiet chuckle in agreement. ”Incredibly. Who would want to live with my sister?” As the two continued to walk, Edrik nodded at his friends instructions, turning at the bend the same time Finley did. Edrik paused for a moment while dark eyes widened at the view, considering the Castle’s view seemed to settle in, in front of the sun that was slowly disappearing from the sky. The trees seemed to be scattered amongst the castle, filling the sides of it in its entirety but left the main view open for just the castle. His lips parted in admiration, shock filling his facial expression.
It wasn’t exactly the same sort of castle he would see at home in Bulgaria but the nostalgic feeling left the man feeling warm inside. ”You weren’t kidding. It’s a real beauty.” He mumbled to his friend. A beauty wasn't even the right word for it, but the feeling of nostalgia wandered, even as the two boys explored the outskirts of the castle and even within. Finley showed the Krum the extravagant parts of the castle and even its ruins, allowing for a long walk for them to catch up and even part eventually. Their farewell was brief, with Edrik heading towards the place nearby to the airport where he had left his team, eyes gazed upwards to the sunset sky and the machinery that flew up above reminded the Krum of small little paper airplanes flying by.
